I LOVE this thing. For the first time in my life, I think it is fun to clear the snow! I’ve used it for 1 full Wisconsin winter and there isn’t anything it couldn’t handle - I’m looking forward to the next! I added back wheel weights and tire chains to my husqvarna tractor and haven’t had any issues.

The snowblower is well designed and fit perfectly on my lawn tractor. Only issue was hardware, did not have enough washers and fortunately i had a package of washer to use. Once started, you do not want to have to run back to the store to get additional hardware that was to be include. Hardware is cheap, why not send extra?

Haven't used it yet, no snow. I thought the instructions were confusing. Looked online to get a better idea on how to put together.

I have to say I'm fairly disappointed with this snow blower so far. I was looking for a snow blower attachment for my Craftsman lawn tractor and was having difficulty getting one from Sears since they went bankrupt. I happened across this Agri-fab attachment and after reading the reviews i decided to buy it. First off, the directions are horrible. I'm fairly mechanically inclined but I spent more time trying to interpret their instructions than I did actually putting the thing together. The hardware is not marked well and the instructions refer to nut and bolt sizes ( i.e. 1/2 x 1 1/2 carriage bolt) but the pictures of the nuts and bolts refer to them as A, B,C,D, E, etc. So now you have to go to a cross reference table on different page to figure out that the 1/2 x 1 1/2 . bolt is G in the pictures. I would highly recommend sorting and labeling each nut and bolt by size prior to starting to put this together. It will save you a lot of time. After I put it together I happened upon some videos that actually show you how to put it together. Here's the link to the first video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ab07KenBMeQ&list=PLTrxICc7APBtQ6eb55OoBDYRQWHWtaFr7&index=1 So now I have it together and attached to my lawn tractor. The first thing I notice is that the screw drive on the chute crank keeps jumping out of the grooves when I try to turn it. For the life of me I can't figure out why. I followed the directions and I KNOW I have it together right. I also lubricated the chute collar as directed so it should turn just fine. I contact agri-fab for some help and they tell me I should lubricate the chute collar. I told them in my email that I already did that. Thanks agri-fab After some further inspection, I come to the conclusion that the screw drive is sitting too low and needs to be raised up. I take the brackets off and put 2 washers between the brackets and the mount. This raises the crank up so it sits where it should but now the bolts are too short. A quick trip to the hardware store and I've got some proper bolts. Now the chute crank works properly. I think I' m ready for the snow but I am sadly mistaken. Snowstorm #1 - I had noticed that it's really difficult to lift the blower and get it to lock in the up position using the lift lever but I think it'll be okay. Our first snow comes and I give it a try. I start blowing snow and I'm impressed with the distance I'm getting from this thing. Everything is great until I try to turn around at the end of my driveway. I have to shove the lift arm all the way to the foot pad to get it to lock into place. I start turning around, hit a little bump and BAM the blower slams down. I lift it up again, start to move and BAM it falls again. I repeat this like 5 times just trying to turn around so I go back to the garage and mess with the cable adjustment on the release handle until i think I've got it figured out but again, I am sadly mistaken. After more frustrating trial and error, things start to work a little better but now I notice a new problem. The upper chute will not stay down when I use the chute tilt handle to lower it. As soon as I hit some heavy snow, the chute pops up. Back to the garage and mess with the chute tilt handle until it's nearly so tight that I can hardly lower the chute. It's working better but the chute still occasionally pops by itself and I finally manage to get the driveway cleared. Snowstorm #2 - We had some wet heavy snow, about 5 inches. I make one pass down my driveway and start back when I notice that I'm pushing snow in front of the right side of the snowblower. I get off and find that the right side shear bolt has snapped for no apparent reason. I didn't hit anything and was just blowing snow. The snow is wet and heavy but there's no ice chunks or anything. I find a bolt to replace it and go about my business. I'm in the middle of blowing snow when suddenly the WHOLE FREAKIN' CHUTE FLIES OFF and I get showered with snow and slush. I know I followed the directions properly when I put the chute on and none of the bolts seem loose. The chute keepers are on properly so I have no idea why it flew off. I reinstall the chute and get back to blowing snow when the left side shear bolt breaks. I'm spending more time in the garage fixing this thing than I am blowing snow. I put a new bolt in and finish the driveway but I am not happy with this blower. I have to say that when it is working, this blower really throws the snow but so far it's been an exercise in frustration keeping it working. If you buy one, good luck to you.

Just used it after installing it in late November. Installation took a while and I did need some technical support and agri-fab was great. First snowfall was a couple of feet. First pass was about a foot of fluffy snow and it performed great. The next batch was followed by rain and this snowblower.

This snowblower is an excellent model. My last one lasted 15 years. They've made a few improvements and I expect I will get the same amount of tie out of this one. If you're some what handy the assembly is pretty simple, but will take a few hours. I'm very happy with my purchase.

The whole unit bolted right up to my Poulan lawn tractor, with the exception of a little modification to the belt drive unit. It works well and moves snow nicely. I would expect the only weak point on this blower is the plastic discharge chute and the plastic drive gear for it. I am very pleased with my purchase.

This is an awesome unit. I have had one on my Craftsman 18 hp lawn tractor for the last 14 years. Replaced a few belts over the years, (get a spare long auger drive belt, as they can be hard to find when you need one, approx. $70) I blow a rural driveway that is approx. 200 yards long and it has handled it well over the years. I put 4 stars on the value because I could never understand the $1100-$1400 price tag on these non-motorized attachment units compared to the $600-$1200 walk behind units that include a motor on them. Other than that, I would highly recommend this unit if you have a long driveway.

I have had this snow thrower for eight years, just beginning the ninth year this Winter. I had it mounted on my Craftsman tractor for it first years and this year it is now mounted on my Husqvarna Tractor. The pulley plate mounting had slight differences and it is now fully adapted. But the operation on either tractor was outstanding and when I saw this opportunity after all of these years to write a review on this attachment it is my pleasure to do it. I had my local welding shop beef up my skid shoes but that has been the only change. I have only had to replace one shear bolt in all of those years. It handles the occasional chunks of ice with no difficulty. I cannot imagine a winter without it. My driveway is about 250 feet long with a dog leg to enter the garage and this beats a snow plow any day for my purposes. I had my tractor supplier call Agri-Fab for my conversion and I received excellent help from the seller of the tractor and from Agri-Fab. I remember calling Agri-Fab about some small thing eight years ago and they were on top of it instantly. Great product.

            The Best Snowblower
Have used this snow blower for one winter now and it has preformed beyond my expectations. I have it mounted on my Husqvarna 18K42 Tractor. Blows snow 50 feet plus and is very easy to control. I live on an acreage with a 400 foot driveway and this outfit makes quick work of any snowfall.

After the initial install it is pretty easy to install. I would definitely buy an extra auger belt, the one from the bottom of the tractor to the snow thrower. When they go out you are usually removing snow, I just installed my third one in 5 years, very easy to do. Belt part number is 47846, around 70 dollars. Other then that this has been a great unit and time saver.

The chute is difficult to operate when it's extremely cold. It gets bound up and doesn't rotate well. Everything else is great, and I've used it for a couple feet so far this winter.

I purchased this unit to attach to my Husqvarna YTH2348 yard tractor. After figuring out which part of the manual to use, the installation went smoothly. I have had this unit for 7 years now and it is still working perfectly. I am able to attach the unit by myself, but having my son help make the installation much easier. We have just under 300 feet of drive, and the snow blower / tractor makes the job so much easier. Just be sure to add chains and wheel weights to the tractor.

Assembly & Install went well - waiting for snow
Assembled and installed (temporarily) the Agri-Fab LST42E model snowblower this past weekend on a Husqvarna GTH52XLS tractor. A few minor issues but all went well. My comments below. The model version delivered is an "E" which is the latest I assume. Can't see any major differences compared to D and earlier C versions although I think some hardware options for different tractor models are the main variance. The unit came in a Husqvarna labeled box and the sticker on the unit says "Manufactured for Husqvarna Model 531 30 71-69". The operator & assembly manual is for an LST42E Home Depot Canada price of $1307 + $99 shipping is very good. Husqvarna dealers sell the same unit right now for $1899 although it comes in Husqvarna orange color. Assembly is straight forward, manual is very good. The first step is to add blower mounting hardware to the tractor frame. The plastic side grilles on the GTH52XLS are removed to install the front metal side plates which the snowblower are mounted on howevere the grilles require a minor trim to clear the side plates on reinstall. The large GTH52XLS front bumper cannot be used if a snowblower is used. The next step is to finish adding a few parts to the clutch/idler assembly that mounts under the tractor when using the snowblower and then installing the this assembly on the tractor. On my particular clutch/idler assembly someone had forgot to add two washers under an idler pulley and it thus was tightened against the frame and wouldn't turn. I had to remove the idler and add a washer for it to work correctly. After that the chute and chute controls are installed on the main snowblower housing and then you are ready to mount the snowblower on the tractor. I found the chute controls on the left to be fine. The lift handle on the right was angled a bit to close to the hood on the GTH52XLS (tight for your leg/foot) so I elongated the pole mounting holes so it could be pivoted outward a bit. Many nuts/bolts on the snowblower were not particularly tight, so I checked and re-tightened all nuts/bolts on all pieces. Quite a few spare nuts/bolts and hardware pieces (even a spare idler pulley) as the kit is designed for many different tractor models. Removing the snow blower and clutch/idler assembly was pretty easy, reinstall will be similar.

                    WORKS GREAT
HAVE USED IT FOR 2 YEARS. WORKS GREAT ON MY ARIENS 42" 18HP GEAR SHIFT TRACTOR. HAVE A GRAVEL DRIVE WITH AUGHTS AND ONES ON TOP. TAKES QUITE A WHILE FOR ONE PERSON TO INSTALL BUT DOABLE.

                    42" Snow Thrower
I had to have dealer pick up this unit 5 times due to auger belt keep coming off. This snow thrower is absolutely worthless. I had to shovel almost every snow storm as the belt does not stay on. I was told that I was the only one with this problem - NOT TRUE. Please read other reviews for proof. I expected more from Husqvarna. This unit should be recalled and somehow have the problem fixed!!!

                      Throws snow 50+ feet
This appears to be an updated version of an MTD I bought 12 years ago. Agri-Fab (Husqvarna, ergo Electrolux) got rid of the $500 useless gear/chain case which broke twice, indicating better engineering. The impeller throws snow 50+ feet. I wish Electrolux would recommend attachments for Poulan, Husqvarna, and other equipment they own, so one knows what fits. I love it.

                      Snow Blower
This snow blower is great. It is well made and is very sturdy. It is easy to attach, but dos take some time and knowledge to attach the first time. After that, it is easy to attach/remove unit. Instructions are easy to follow and the pictures in the instructions are clear and exact.
