Cheap plastic for the price

Easy to replace old seat with this one and looks great.

Seat is exactly what originally came with our American Standard Cadet 3 toilets. The seats eventually lose the "soft close" feature and fall down with a clunk. Home Depot has the best price for this item and the manufacturer's website contains a link to take the shopper to Home Depot to make a purchase. Nice!

The product does fit the cadet toilet. It is very light weight plastic, bordering on flimsey for the cost.

Okay; the toilet seat arrived in the wrong color, white. We returned it and found another brand in stock. That being said, the original one that we had lasted seven years with no problem until young houseguests must have forced it closed, and broke it. Only criticism would be the higher price for not being white.

Sturdy construction. Well made. Doesn't stain.

It's wonderful how the lid closes so silently on its own. Absolutely would recommend this to anyone who is considering purchasing it.

I was hoping for a better product. For the price paid for it the seat feels thin and like a $10.00 seat. The slow close works ok but the seat is really thin, flimsy and cheap. Should have spent double and bought the higher model.

I've not been impressed with it. It's plastic. The slow close feature doesn't do anything for me because my old toilet seat I always held the lid until it was closed so I tend to do the same with this one. What really bothered me is the first time I lifted it up to use the toilet and I saw two blocks of styrofoam glued to the inside of the cover. Besides the fact that styrofoam is cheap, my bigger concern was the fact that you cannot sanitize styrofoam. That's disgusting since we're in the middle of a pandemic. The bottom of the seat has a small half circle of plastic that sticks out on the left side for men whose fingers might have difficulty lifting the bottom lid up. That makes me understand who designed this thing, who it was for and why sanitation is not an issue. I use body powder between my thighs and I've never had residue on any of the toilet seats that I've had before, but for some reason this seat attracts the powder and it collects making it look dirty even if I've just cleaned it. Because toilets now come without seats and toilet bowls can be elongated or round and in a variety of sizes, I was pretty much stuck buying this seat whether I wanted it or not because it was extremely unclear on Home Depot's web site what other seats I could use that would actually fit this specific toilet. I think I found this toilet seat by looking at the answer to a question for the toilet itself. The bottom line is that paying $36.49 + tax was too much for a toilet seat that's made of plastic and styrofoam. I expect something better from a brand name and for the high price that's being charged.
