This is a very weak shovel. Bends easily. I was really looking for a nice heavy duty shovel and this is not it.

Light and easy dig shovel EVER!

American made quality strong and sturdy. Gets the job done in no time.

The metal blade of the shovel cracked and broke. (yes, right in the middle). I contacted Ames support, and they said it was "normal wear and tear" so they wouldn't cover it. Ridiculous.

Great length. Handle very comfortable. I think this will probably last a long time.

The Ames shovel was almost twice the price of a budget shovel. And I need something that's gonna hold up to a lot of gardening work. I liked the look and feel of the shovel in the store. But when I used it in the garden, it creaked and squeaked. I presume it has something to do with how the fabricated metal shovel head attaches to the handle... It was not a comforting feeling. I returned the shovel after just a few scoops of soil. I'll be looking for something different.

Handle is made of cheap material and broke the first time I used it. The shovel head is light and flimsy; it bends excessively and has an extremely difficult time getting theough anythiing other than light topsoil

Angle of shovel is too steep other than that it's fine

This shovel bent and became unusable after 6 months of use. I would not recommend this product.

Shovel works great. Well priced

Seems really sturdy thus far. It’s helped me dig up 6 different sized bushes around my house.

Handle broke off at the base after only 1 hr of use. I heard cracking from the first dig. Opting instead for a steel handled shovel.
