Installed easily 1 week ago, and love the fact that you can cut the light strip to the length needed. The remote allows light to be dimmed if you just want a little light, otherwise they are nice and bright.

These Ribbonflex lights are a great addition to my kitchen. The kit comes with 16 feet of ribbon light, a remote, and 2 connectors. They are easy to install, just peel and stick to any surface. You can either leave them on bright or they can be dimmed to a warm glow. The connectors can be used to make turns or bridge gaps, just cut the ribbon in the center of the copper pad and add connector. These lights come with there own plug in power supply to plug directly into an outlet or you can remove the power supply and direct wire. The power supply is about 6 inches long so it is hard to hide so direct wiring maybe the way to go. You can pair multiple kits using only 1 remote. These light are for indoor use only.

It is dimmable using a remote which works. It comes on a spool which can be easily unwound. The strip light has a adhesive tape that can be used to stick it to various surfaces. The adhesive tape is what needs a little improvement. I tried to stick it to under my kitchen cabinets and they would not stick. Hope the manufacturer improves the adhesive. Otherwise it’s a decent buy.

Ribbon flex by ARMACOST is easier to install than other LED strip lights. Simple operation and fast installation are the main features. I've installed a few dozen similar strip-LED systems in various applications, so my experience can help you make a good choice. This system does NOT change colors like some others. Instead it goes smoothly from soft warm light at low settings to very BRIGHT warm light at high settings. That's simpler and more reliable than some of the other colorized systems. The main benefit of that simple warm light is, it automatically becomes brighter without fiddling. You just turn it UP for cleaning, or turn it down for mood lighting. I like that it comes ready-to-use from the box. That greatly speeds installation. The attachments strips are made by 3M, and are well-known for secure mounting and long lasting quality. So, UNLESS you really want the color options for some reason, this is a good choice.

This Armacost Lighting Ribbonflex Home 16 ft. Dim to Warm Led Tape Light Kit with remote looks great and is easy to use. We are going to use these under our cupboards in the kitchen for more light. We have some up already but we needed some more for the other part of the kitchen. The directions are easy to read and understand and easy to install. We are putting ours up as soon as we can I can't wait to see what they look like up.

Flexible ribbon lighting has come a long way since I first used it three years ago. The Armacost ribbon allows you to work around corners without kinks or splicing. The kit also comes with connections so I can add to the tape. Eventually I will drop down and come under the cupboards. My home came prewired with an outlet above the cupboards connected to a switch so I did not use the remote that comes with the kit. The lights are pre-taped. It’s a good idea to clean the top of the cupboards before you start. I did a practice layout with scotch tape before the final stick down.( my wife likes the new look).

The Armacost light kit comes with a plug-in 24Vdc power supply, 16 feet of LED tape light (pre-assembled), wire lead connectors (optional use), 2 wire support clips and a dimmer remote. I recommend that you read and follow the instructions completely before installing the kit. I used all of the 16 feet of light strip above my kitchen cabinets. If you need to trim it to a shorter size, no problem. However, you cannot add to the light strip if you need more lighting. The manufacturer claims you may overheat the transformer. Installation was easy as it was basically, cut to size (if necessary), stick to a clean surface and plug in. The power pack has two holes to be able to mount it in place. I made a video using the remote control showing the different light levels of color when you go from 10% brightness to 100% brightness. When you adjust the brightness level the color hue changes, it goes from bright white to a little more yellow each time. There are also some strobe effects available. I did not find them to be of any interest due to the weird special effects that they produce.

This light kit is a great and economical way to change the vibe of the kitchen. I have canned lighting that really light it up and is great for working in the kitchen, but too bright in the evenings. I put this LED tape above the cabinets and now I'm able to get just the right amount of light. The brightest (100%) setting is more of a bright white and gives enough light by itself to make a midnight snack without the blinding canned lights. On the lower settings - you can dim gradually or jump to the presets of 50, 20, 10%) it is more of a warm light that is a nice, subtle effect. I've attached phots to try to show the difference but it's hard to capture how good it looks. Easy to install, good instructions. The only thing that I would have liked is to have a few feet of 20/2 AWG wire to splice in to jump spaces (it comes with 2 -8 in spacers). If you don't have any lying around, you would need to purchase a fairly large spool.

The LED light set is a real winner. The set is complete for up to 16 feet of lighting. I used my set under a desk bridge. The installation was extremely easy with the self stick tape which is pre-installed. I used a connector provided on a shelf that required a turn. A transformer with cord is provided. The remote allows for changing of light to daylight to soft, brighten or dim the intensity. The only negative is the lack of additional length of connectors.

This is a good quality kit with an interesting feature. As the light is dimmed it becomes a warmer light. The LED strips utilize two sets of LEDs one set uses cool white LEDs and the other set has warmer yellow LEDs. The brightness of each set is shifted between the two sets as the brightness is adjusted. A small remote is included which can switch the lights on and off as well as adjusting the brightness in 10% steps. In addition there is a set of animated modes that consist of various cycling between the warm and cool colors and flashing and lighting like strobes. The power supply can be plugged into a power socket or it can be hardwired into a 120 V AC electrical circuit that is either on all the time or switched via a light switch. Note it must not be connected to a wall dimmer, it needs to obtain full power as it does its own dimming. The controller remembers the light setting when it is powered off and it restores that setting the next time it is powered up. This means one could wire it up via a wall switch and have it come on again to your preselected brightness each time. The LED strip and be cut at 20cm intervals (about 7½”). The kit contains two connectors (about 6½” long) that can be used to connect sections of the strip which is useful if need to go around a sharp corner. You can also add your own wire to extend the gaps if need be. With the lights off, the power supply consumes about 0.4W (at 7.3c/KWh that will cost 26c per year). With lights on 100% brightness it draws about 26 Watts. The instructions are well written and cover how to cut and splice the strips, considerations on placement and how to pair the remote with additional kits so that a single remote can operate multiple strips. The remote is supplied with a CR 2035 3V battery. The back of the LED strip does have a peel-off adhesive backing which is carefully printed to look like it is a 3M product. Critical inspection will however reveal that it does not actually say 3M, there is always a bit of the logo that is chopped off. All my experiences with such strips have taught me not to rely on the backing though, so I advise buying a good double sided adhesive backing strip if you need this to stick, and stay stuck. Super easy & versatile to install. Love being able to change from bright white to warm lighting. Full and part sun modes along with 100%, 50%, 25%, 10% power gives you a lot of options along with solid or blinking (with speed contol). The remote control makes things super convenient. We strung them along the ceiling and down one corner of a small hall - love the low night vision for finding the bathroom. I put velcro on the remote & wall next to the light switch. Now we can get rid of the light in the hall that hangs too low for taller people.

Love it! Love it! Love it! I've been wanting to add lighting inside my hutch for years, but never found just the right lighting to use. this LED tape light it -- 16' in length with dim to warm lighting is perfect. I mounted it today -- took just a few minutes. But I've yet to mount the transformer that's built in the power cord. I will mount velcro to the back of it, and velcro to the inside of the hutch, so that this transformer can be mounted "out of sight" at the top of the cabinet. Then the electric cord will feed out the hole in the top of the cabinet, with the wiring for the existing piano light. This lighting make so much improvement. While the cabinet has glass shelves, once they are filled, the top lighting doesn't reach the bottom shelves. Now everything is sparking with the light bouncing off each item. (Gonna have to clean better, though!)

We wanted to add some soft mood lighting to our kitchen, so we tried this kit for under the edge of our island. It is an easy install and the directions were easy to read and follow. The only issue I had was when splicing around the first corner, i couldn't get a good connection but removing the adhesive backing from the tape at the site of the splice solved the problem. (The picture of the island is dimmed 50% using the included remote.) My wife likes it and says her bookcases are next.

The kit is comprised of all those parts listed in the product description. See photograph 1. The wireless receiver is integrated into the line cord feeding the strip lights. See photograph 2. The various light functions are typified on the attached video. I elected to illuminate a clothes closet. I positioned the driver beneath the floor (in the basement) and fastened the flex light around the inside door trim. The 16-foot kit was enough to form an inverted U over a double doorway. Then I mounted the controller just inside the door jamb. The result transformed a dark foyer closet (See photograph 3.) to that seen on photographs 4 and 5. Lighting above the doorway provides a clear view of accessories on those upper shelves. (I got rid of my old and awkward battery-operated puck lights.) And the flex strip reaches near the floor - illuminating the boots and shoes rack there. We were sufficiently impressed that another kit (with its driver located above the ceiling - in the attic) is lighting a pair of curios; one of which is seen on photograph 6. In the latter instance I wired the driver through in-situ wall switches existing from the previous incandescent curio lighting. That gives me the added versatility of programming the curios into our home automation schedules and moods, as well as using the remote controller.

The lighting strip is of average quality of others I have seen. It does add some good lighting to the underside of my cabinets which helps with food prep and cleaning. The set comes with the light strip itself, two connectors (for corners, extension, etc) and a remote. From what I can tell, the remote is the only way to turn the lights on and off. The power strip has a bulky power bank, which might be hard to hide depending on where your outlet is. I found that the sticky tape is not strong enough to put under my cabinets and the strips droop from time to time. I used some packaging tape for reinforcements. Also there is a dimming function that changes the color temperature. For mine, I think there may be some light bulbs that were damaged because they don't change colors with the rest. However, the white color is my favorite so it didn't bother me too much. Lastly, if you have shiny tiles like mine, you probably will see all the lights reflected on your counter. I don't love the look, but it was mostly for functionality anyway. Installation was easy.

Overall this is a very nice product. You can use it for multiple applications. My original plan was to add under cabinet lighting for our kitchen. My wife put the kibosh on that, so we decided to use it in my teenager's room. It's very easy to install. My daughter did it all herself with no tools. The remote is nice to be able to access all of the features. It's not enough to read by, but the lights are pretty bright

Love the dimming and color options. Easy to install.

Installed under kitchen cabinets to provide additional countertop lighting. Had to "jump" the oven range, so additional wiring was needed to be purchased other than what was in kit. Easy to install, but I am not 100% convinced the light tape will stay "stuck" over time - may need to apply some double-faced tape if it starts to sag. Really like the 4 pre-set lighting options, very easy to pick exactly the lighting you want. We established a specific drawer that the remote will be kept in at all times, because keep in mind it's the only way to turn on/off so don't misplace it! Overall, I am very pleased with the light tape, the only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is because some of the protective backing on the tape had already separated when removing from the package and I'm not sure if it affected the stickiness.

Easy to install and looks great

Third one I have ordered, received and installed. All arrived quickly and in excellent condition. Works great and wife is happy -so I am happy! Excellent product.

Used the LED strip lighting behind a large stained glass picture. Worked great, especially like the ability to dim the lighting. Downside was adhesive backing did not stick in my application. Needed to use double sided tape to mount strips.

To much solded conections, but it's make allot light. Also I like remote and options!

Great product. Love the remote dimmer and ability to adjust warmth and brightness of the light.

Easy to install, with one caveat: can only be cut at 8 inch intervals (there are components in each module--if you cut in the middle, the lights in that module won't light up). This is different from many other types. We installed them under kitchen cabinets, and they are fabulous.

Wow. I have been resistant to tape lights but they work extremely well and easy to install under my kitchen counter. I highly recommend the system that comes with a dimmer so you can set brightness based on your needs and mood. Great product!

The tape that held the strip light up only lasted for 2 days.
