Mattress is a problem. Miserable mattress actually

Looks amazing but you need 10 hands to assemble. 2 broken pieces out of the box. Mattress was in a roll and the bottom section has yet to form the way it suppose to after 2 days of letting it fluff.

Very nice Murphey bed

It was a bit hard to assemble the bed with the instructions provided.. The pieces were not marked, so you have to compare the picture to each piece. The pictures were a bit small to look at. I had to figure out how to attach the top to the unit. I ended up taking off the two pieces of wood underneath the top to attach it instead. Be careful with the bed frame. I hit my shin pretty good on it. All in all, nice product.

Bed frame broke the very first time our guests tried to sleep on it. We purchased it for a guest room for the coming Thanksgiving Holiday (family visiting). Going to return it as soon as possible.

Junk. When putting together it started falling a part . We have not had this bed for 2 or 3 months, the frame has already cracked. My family came to visit for a week and slept on it .

I bought this for a spare room, so with that in mind, a couple pros and cons Pros: 1. I was able to setup by myself. Definitely recommend two or three people to help, but can be done by one person. 2. Looks as pictured; therefore, if you like the looks, this is what you will get. Cons: 1. Separate all the screws in advance by type and size. Some screws are the same type, but slightly different sizes. I got mine mixed. You can't tell which screws are which until you screw through the wood by accidently using a larger size screw :-( 2. The bed size in a twin. For some reason I thought it would be a queen. 3. The mattress is not very comfortable to sleep on. I added an extra pillow top to the mattress, which does fit in cabinet.

Purchased in January 2021, got halfway through putting it together and found a defective part. Had to wait for a replacement. Now one of the beams broke. No one at Atlantic Furniture answers the phone, just slow generic email. Home Depot refuses a refund.

The furniture is very sturdy, real wood. Following the instructions you won't have a problem to put it together. It even came with extra screws. The mattress folds inside of it. The bottom drawer is really a drawer and great for storage. I'm 5'8" and my husband is 5'11" and we were good to sleep there. We purchased this item for a guest room that is being used as a computer/printer room. I'm very pleased with it.

Very disappointed and my husband was surprised at how flimsy the construction was when we got it and sure enough after not quite a year and under 20 uses the wood split and snapped making the bed unusable. We had the bed just shy of 1 year in our vacation home. It did not meet our expectations. The mattress was nice and comfortable just a shame that the only way to use it is to rebuild a new frame and keep it out permanently which defeats the purpose of space saving which is why we had bought it.

Fell apart. Put it together, using the directions, pulled it out and the side metal bracket popped out of the frame when I sat on it (I'm 5'2" 145 pounds) and the whole bed part fell apart.

We assembled this piece. It was length but okay. The problem came a week after we used to bed and the slats began to come apart. My son added additional oak pieces to the broken slat and we went on. The bed was put together piecing curve pieces together without GLUE. This was only the first piece, however. other pieces came apart and we tried to fix them. Now, a slat is coming out of its hole with the dowel. I am seeking a refund. This was a terrible disappointment.

I love the concept, assembling was not bad. The color is awful and the finish very rustic. The outside color and finish does not match the inside wood. I want to return it but will probably end up painting it. Very disappointing but I learned not to order furniture online now, especially this expensive.

I love this! I now have a functional workout room with space for a guest if they arrive. Good solid product.

First, I am just a regular customer. I just believe in reviews being truthful and accurate. This is a rather high priced item (though research shows that all these types of beds are pricey) and I did a whole lot of research first. I will cover why I bought this one and then how the build went. After researching tons of cabinet Murphy beds: it became clear that the overall price for this bed was going to be $1000 to $2000 range and THAT is a big range. The reviews seemed to indicate that assembly quality was a big issue for ALL of them. Customer service for these issues the obvious close second. Universally if all expectations met the finished product was well liked. So now I knew my areas to research. Also cheapest is not the primary indicator of choice. But it is important. Recommendation: make absolutely certain how what you buy can be returned. If all goes wrong you need to easily return it. By the time you know though it will be partially together and not easily placed back in original boxes. This bed was made of wood and not particle board so I chose it. A drawer too and USB port. Wow. I paid just over $1170 including a $100 off for opening their credit card. If you do ok. Home Depot. Here is how they work. First, they would try to get a replacement part if that is the problem. All research showed this company works to do just that. So good. Next, if it is just a bad choice for you, two choices: Re-box it and take it yourself back to closest store to you...nope OR call and HD will send out people to pick up unit in whatever stage it is in assembly. Not in box. Yea. So this is how I made my choice. Good quality, almost lowest price and ease of return. NEXT recommendation: if you have really very little experience putting together these IKEA type furniture items and are not handy....do not do this. Just have Home Depot assemble it. It absolutely takes 2 people to assemble. My son did it in 3 hours exactly but he had help and he is a person handy with tools and building stuff. That said, I felt it went together ok. When you buy something not assembled like this, there will absolutely be issues of getting stuff to line up etc. however, for us all holes lined up. All hardware was present and no damage to anything seen. Sliding the side panels in was a bit of a challenge and one short bolt at right back of cabinet absolutely would not go in...ever. We just left it off. It did not compromise stability. But you might hate that. Thus it is not a simple build but it was fraught with what I feel are the usual problems with precut assemblies. Finished product: beautiful and the memory foam mattress very quality. I like it. It is exactly what I wanted. I live in a basement large apartment in my sons home, and I have to assemble almost anything I want inside because most everything will not fit down the stairwell. The refrigerator purchase a nightmare. So I had to do this. It came out ok. I hope this helps. Thought this would be great for our guest bedroom since we didn't have the height for a wall murphy bed. We used it twice and one hinge pulled out because it was installed uneven and wood split where some joints are. For how much it cost, it is definitely, not worth the money. Trying to figure out how to fix it so I can use it again. We will have to reinforce all the joints, shim the hinges and make a brace to support it under the hinges, so they don't pull out again. VERY DISAPPOINTED!!!

I brought this piece in June 2023 for my new home. It came in 4-5 different boxes. In December we hired someone to put it together and a part was damaged. I contacted AFI Furniture and they sent a replacement. When we received the part we tried again but then we opened another box and another part was damaged. Again they sent the replacement part. Now we are in February and i thought the part was right however we hire someone to put together and the replacement part is broken. Ive been trying to put this thing together since December and now i have to wait again for a replacement part.

Purchased this for an additional bed in Florida. Paid for assembly...needed to change date and person @Home Depot.COM, was wrong, screwed it up and cancelled assembly and extended warranty. Was able to get extended warranty back, but not assembly. HOWEVER, Assembly company, my local Home Depot Crystal Lake, IL, did their utmost to help and did not succeed. Home Depot.COM needs to train their people better. Anyway, my two daughters assembled the unit in two hours. Piece of cake! all Parts were there, no damage. Perfect, Could not be happier!

We received the bed and it had some damage but I called the number that was listed and let me tell you they were professional and efficient. I received all replacement parts with no problems.

Two women, two hours to assemble. No broken or missing pieces. Goes together easily. Delivered 4 days early. My beef is with Home Depot.com. purchased assembly, human error cancelled along with warranty. My Crystal Lake H.D. very helpful, lots of calls for me, got back my warranty, could not get back assembly. Company to assemble very kind. But had to wait on H.D. So only frustrated with Home Depot.com. would definitely buy again. Am using as extra bed in Condo, looks great and Beachy!

We bought this bed for out guest room. It is nice looking, but very flimsy. It is just glued together. It had broke the second time someone slept on it. I was able to “repair” it. The next time it completely broke I’m to pieces. So disappointed!! And no option to return or get a refund!!!
