Everything was well packaged. Assembly was easy - definitely need two persons. Mattress is firm and comfortable. Nice piece of furniture. Saves space in our spare room.

My Murphy bed is awesome but I did have trouble dealing with Atlantic Furniture as the bearings in the pull out drawer fell off. After a couple of weeks of back and forth, I got my replacement.

The unit arrived in three WELL packed boxes. Instructions were clear and concise. All parts and all hardware were present (plus a few extras). White finish was intact with NO marring of surface. The weight of the unit was commensurate with its quality - this is actual wood, not particle board. Assembly was straight forward but best accomplished with two people. The mattress, once allowed to fully expand, was comfortable to lie on. One person can fold the mattress and push it into its compartment with a little bit of difficulty. To correctly align the hinges and braces, it is critical to initially assemble the unit on a level surface. We have had this unit for about 4 weeks. This unit is great and we would buy it all over again.

I have been contemplating get this and i finally did. This a very nice, real wood, guest bed. The color is a little darker than pictured and it had some minor cosmetic flaws but you will still love it. The bottom piece comes intact. You put together the rest in an hour and a half. Mattress is comfortable but kind of thin. Long term guest might need a matress topper. Also, it came way before the estimated delivery time in three boxes. The bottom piece is very heavy so you will need help. Pictures dont do it justice. Just get it.

I was suppose to have this Delivered on Feb 2. It came on Jan 21. it was suppose to be curb side delivery but the driver actually brought it up to my 4th floor condo. I saw the boxes and was thinking it would be an all day project to assemble this murphy bed cabinet. Boy was I wrong. I had it assembled and working in a hour and a half. I love it. It looks great and is extremely comfortable, I figured I had to try it out, if I expect guests to sleep on it I should try it at lease once.

Bed was pleasantly comfortable. It is a queen so it you are used to King it will be an adjustment. I would definitely buy again.

This looks like a nice quality piece of furniture when not in use. It is easy to pull out to make into a bed and the drawer is good sized to store linens. I assembled it myself and the directions were easy to follow. It is time consuming, but well worth the effort! It is comfortable to sleep on with no complaints from family members! Very Nice and I’m glad I purchased it! I would recommend this for extra guests to anyone who is limited on space or has a dual purpose room such as I have now!

Beautiful piece but the main screws came out bc they holes were stripped. Now I have to deal with returning. UUGH

The bed has meet all our expectations. We have used it for guest for over 1 month now. One issue we had during assembly was one side panel was warped and could not be attached properly. One call to customer service a complete new panel kit was shipped at no cost. When we first received the bed there was a strong paint order, but has slowly gone away.

This is a very nice piece of furniture and makes an excellent extra bed. We added a mattress topper and the bed is very comfortable. When we put together the bed the right side of the cabinet was warped and the screws didn’t fit. We contacted Atlantic and within a week we had the replacement pieces. It does have a varnish smell when first assembled. It fads with time. We really are happy with the chest/bed. Perfect for our needs.

Beautiful piece, one side was very hard to assemble, pieces did not line up well, took a little perseverance, would purchase again.

We would be totally satisfied if they (Atlantic Furniture) would have shown any concern with our problem. The slide on the pull out was not installed correctly so it is very difficult to pull out the drawer and it is more difficult to get it closed. They said that they could not find our purchased record. Obviously we purchased it, they shipped it to us. So they closed our claim with no solution!!

The latch on the side is incorrect. They send new latches now I have holds on the side. I'm sending back if someone does not come to fix

Overall, I give this purchase very high marks. It appears well made and the bed is comfortable. My son has been visiting us this month and, even at 6'5" and 250lbs, it has worked out fine for him. I did add an extra 1.5 inch mattress topper to it for an extra touch. We like the fact that the top shelf of the product does partially fold up, if desired, so that it feels less like sleeping inside a box for a very tall person. Here are the points that keep this from being a 5 star review: * the color is much darker than it appeared on the photographs. It is a dark brown with no lighter or redder tones to it. I actually double checked to verify that this wasn't some sort of "expresso" or other deep toned choice that shipped to us by mistake but, there was no color like that even offered as an option. I decided to keep it since, it's not a bad color and the logistics of having it ontime and schlepping it back down stairs were not conducive to a return. *It's heavy! As others have referenced, this comes in 3 boxes. 2 of them are no problem but the main piece of the cabinet is all assembled (which is great, on one level) and it required 2 strong people to even move it at all. Fortunately for us, the above mentioned son was on hand to do some heavy lifting. *the final negative point is also really a mixed issue. This item came 10 days before the shipping notice said that it would and there was absolutely no notification that they were arriving. We were fortunate that by chance, someone was home. I'm not sure what they would have done with it otherwise. It was rainy outside too, so I would hope they wouldn't have just left it out there. It comes on a pallet.

A very impressive piece of furniture. Well engineered. Nicely finished. But be sure you check the dimensions to make sure it will fit where you want it. It is very large! :)

fairly easy to assemble . did it by myself. heavy, so will need help to get boxes into room especially the drawers. it is just what we needed for a smaller bedroom.

Went together easily and looks good enough for my needs, but don't expect a perfect finish job. There are some gaps that I need to fill and some discoloration. The wood dents very easily as well, so be careful when assembling.
