beautiful coverage and gorgeous colors

The best chalk paint I’ve ever used! Super easy to apply (I used a 4 inch foam roller) and very forgiving of the piece of furniture and the painter! Highly recommend!

This paint goes on thick and two coats is perfect coverage. Best part is no sanding required! Just paint and seal with the wax. Little goes a long way, still so much paint left. Gave new life to some old pieces I had! Can’t wait for next project.

First time using chalk paint and my project came out perfect. The color was exactly what I was looking for a dark gray.

I repurposed 3 furniture projects using this chalk paint because I’m a loyal Behr customer and I was able to get the color I needed. With that said I had to purchase I lot more paint than I thought and the small cans are expensive. I needed more than two Coates in most places! The finish is nice and what it advertises however they recommend a water based polycrylic topcoat vs waxing and that leaves you with more a sheen even using the ultra matte. I think I could’ve gotten the same finish with the paint and primer and in one and saved money on a gallon

I used this paint for two chests, I was repurposing- second one had been painted a dark color and despite light sanding- definitely needed two coats- I was very pleased with ease of use and final product.

Easy to use and quick dry process. Make sure you use the right brush for chalk paint.

Started a desk project, sanded, dusted and wiped clean. Primed the wood where the chalk paint was going. First time ever using chalk paint. This was not a good choice for me, i can see different spots popping through the white chalk paint. I have now done one application of primer and today makes it the third coat of this chalk paint. I'm lost for words, even tried applying a heavier coat today and the discoloration is still showing through :( I feel totally defeated and that all my work has been wasted. totally discouraged. My brush strokes look hideous on top of it and to think about sanding this project again blows my mind and I don't even want to finish it.

I have used a lot of different chalk paint brands & waxes and this has been the best I have ever used. The paint was smooth and easy to spread. Usually the wax step is the most tedious but this wax was a breeze to apply & buff. The color, Classic Noir, was the exact color I needed for my project. It is a chalky finish black, so the black is right on the edge of looking like an extremely dark gray. But this is exactly the look I was wanting to achieve and I did! I already have more Behr chalk paint colors picked out for other projects. I am happy I gave Behr chalk paint a try!

Nice color on surface

I refinished our master bedroom furniture using this paint in 'shoelace' white. I was really happy with the outcome and how quickly it dried. I sprayed it out of an hvlp gun using a 6.5 gallon compressor. I thinned with water about 15-20%. I shopped the boutique premium shop paints and hard a hard time justifying paying double what this product cost. Tsp, sanded, sprayed water based primer, hit bleed throughs with a shellac based primer. Sprayed the chalk and then top coated with water based polycrylic because I didn't have the patience to manually rub down all the furniture with wax.

If you are using this paint on Mahogany Finish it may bleed my suggestion is to use a coat of shellac first. The Primer did not stop the pink bleed but the finished product was fantastic.

Updated my 20 year old bedroom furniture and it looks amazing! Love this paint! I do recommend a water based polyurethane finish on top to protect it. I used 2 coats of each. I also used a wax stain on top of the polyurethane to give some detail to the wood. If the wax is used directly on the chalk paint it absorbs too much and cannot polish off, so use it last.

Love it! Painted on so easily and gave good coverage. Only took 1/2 quart to paint my dresser. Great product.

I purchased new flooring through Home Depot, and I also purchased Behr Chalk paint in Dark Navy and Tin White and painted my kitchen table and chairs. I also got the rug from Home Depot!!! I am still in SHOCK on how beautiful my Dining room turned out!! I just love it!!! Thank you Home Depot!! I’m am in love with the floors and what it’s done for my house!! And am so loving the way the paint job turned out!!! No detail was left out!!

I had never used this type of paint and was very happy with the results. It went on easy (wife did it) and was dry in no time. There was also no reaction to the wood no lifting of the grain so once I sanded and prepared the cabinet the wife gave it one(1) coat of this Chalk Paint and we were good to go. Finish doesn't Sit on the surface it becomes part of the wood.

This is a beautiful blue! I did give a little antique look around the edges of drawers and cabinet doors. Then added the wax. Added knobs..

It took two coats to cover an oak colored cabinet. Old color is viewable in pic. I also covered in gloss poly so texture is not viewable but it is true to color. Ordered online and was delivered. Beautiful color. Make sure to mix amything thoroughly

The color was great and accurate but did not cover my previous furniture evenly as ti was black to begin with. I am okay with the look and actually loved how it turned out as I was going for the distressed look so this brought it out, but if you want an even color definitely sand first and use a rolled as opposed to a brush.. One can was mixed in a different color but labeled with mine so before painting check your cans to ensure the all match. Also, it does not say anywhere on the site they are not returnable so I would order less if you are not sure as you can always order more so not to be stuck with extra paint.

This was our first time using chalk paint, we loved this brand and the coverage it provided

I wanted a dark teal color for a vintage dresser I was redoing and settled on Tsunami. While applying, each coat wanted to lift up some of the layer underneath, this would happen even after leaving it to dry overnight. I even sanded the piece and completely wiped it down before applying. There’s also a decent amount of variation in the color. I was hoping for one solid color but the pigment concentrated in some areas. I don’t have a lot of experience with chalk paint so maybe I just don’t like this medium, but overall it’s ok but could be better.
