BEHR Concrete and Garage 1-Part Epoxy Coating
Very disappointed. After doing some research I settled on this paint for a garage floor. Looks great but after PROPER preparation and two coats of paint, it's bubbling up where there was some standing water. It's brand new concrete and it was allowed 30 days to cure before etching, prep and paint. Paint also was allowed to dry 3 to 5 days before rain was allowed to hit it. Don't waste your money. I'll end up having to seal this with a clear 100% solids epoxy sealer to protect the paint.

Hi NotHappyinRichmond, thanks for your review. I'm sorry to hear about the bubbling on your concrete floor after it got wet. This isn't the experience we want our customers to have. To fix the bubbling areas, I recommend sanding to remove the loose paint, cleaning the surface, spot etching any bare concrete, priming with our Concrete Bonding Primer for additional adhesion, and touching up with 1-Part Epoxy Paint. Ensuring our customers are happy is our top priority, and we are eager to help get your project back on track. Please feel free to reach out to us directly for any additional support. We look forward to hearing from you! -Christina Behr
Use flakes and clear for the ultimate floor
It was a project . Lots of prep. I would use more flake due to when the floor is wet it's slippery . Happy .

I have only been just painting some old stamped blacktop. I tested some of this paint about two months ago after I spoke to a representative from Behr. The blacktop was painted over 10 years ago with I think a latex type paint. The Behr paint is applying very well with good coverage on the old surface. In my experience I needed to buy twice the amount of paint for the first coat. The paint goes on fairly thick on the rough surface. I'm sure the second coat can be much thinner. Intact, in many areas it looks like a second coat is not needed. Our location is in the Midwest and I am a bit anxious how it will hold up for the winter. I did pressure wash the surface and allowed it to dry before I painted. I painted the patio in August. The paint i used had a number 930 as a base, and it was tinted for a brick color. I was able to purchase it in a five gallon pail in my area. It adheres very well with a paint brush or a very thick roller.

Honestly not exactly what I was looking for. I can only attest to the overall looks of the finished floor because we are still in the process of letting it cure. There was no shine to the product and it requires more than 2 coats to get a uniform

      Paint peeled
I had my very large basement floor painted about 4 months ago. The floor was prepped as per instructions. I recently noticed that some areas either faded or peeled. I bought three 5 gallon buckets and had it professionally painted. Home Depot, please don’t tell me what I should do. Just let me know what you can do for me.

        Expensive Horrible Paint
This paint peels off after one week and two coats. Says it’s for outdoor but it is not. Would not recommend to anyone for outdoor.

Hi there, thank you for the review. I’m sorry to hear that our 1-Part Epoxy Concrete & Garage Floor Paint is already peeling. To fix the issue, I’d recommend removing the loose coating by either power washing or sanding, then etching the bare concrete. After the floor is etched and cleaned, apply our Concrete & Masonry Bonding Primer and then re-applying the 1-Part Epoxy Concrete & Garage Floor Paint. The worst product I have ever purchased
I bought This one part garage epoxy to cover my floor of my three car garage. We follow the instructions, and this stuff sucks. Scratched when I was using a plastic bucket on it, my tires from my car pulled up the paint. And now I am having to scrape all of this crap off my floor and Install rust – oleum. Do not buy this product ever

            Absolutely horrible paint!!
Easy to apply but worse floor paint I have ever used, prepared floor according to directions!! Tires pick it right up, what a mess, how do I recoat it with good paint? Used Rustoleum 2-part epoxy before on a couple garage floor and it is 100% better paint but wanted something cheaper this time and I am paying for it now!!!!

Hi GAGG, thanks for your review. I'm sorry to hear your tires are picking up the paint. To fix these areas, I recommend sanding to remove any peeling paint and smooth out the edges, etching any bare concrete until it feels like 150-grit sandpaper, and cleaning the surface before touching up and applying a full coat of paint (if needed). Let the newly painted areas dry for 7 days before driving/parking, or drive/park over cardboard placed on the surface after 3 days of dry time. Customer satisfaction is important to us, and we'd like to help get your project back on track. Please feel free to reach out to us directly so we can further assist. This paint does not dry and is wrinkling
I bought 2 gallons of this product to paint my garage floor, I sanded the floor to remove the shine from the old paint, then I put degreaser and a power washer, I let it dry for 24 hours and proceeded to paint, applied the first coat and wait 24 hours to give the second coat, the result after 3 weeks the floor is still sticky and wrinkling in many places, I am very disappointed, I never thought that Behr had such a bad product.

overall the paint is great. I painted the driveway with it and it came out great I'm going to clearcoat it just because I want the project to last a long time but I feel like I don't even need to as long as I let it cure and drive for seven days I bet that driveway would be probably fine for the next 10 years because the paint seems to bond really well to itself, which is great, because some paint once they dry and you try to put another coat on them, especially exterior paints with other epoxy. Sometimes you get separation levels and it bubbles up and pulls up with a hot tire but the stuff seems to be working out

Just stay away from this paint
Even after reading all the negative reviews, I bought it anyway after the Behr paint rep in the store assured me they will take care of any problems. After prepping the floor, I applied the paint to one half of it at a time, letting it dry as instructed on the label, then applying a second coat and letting it dry for a week before walking on it. It seemed to cure OK here in SW Florida, however 2 months later the paint is coming up where the tires stand on it. Apparently, heat from the warm tires causes it to separate from the concrete and flake off.

Hello, thank you for your review. I'm very sorry to hear the Concrete & Garage 1-Part Epoxy you applied two months ago is peeling. That is not typical. To fix the issue, I recommend removing the loose coating and etching any bare concrete to ensure the proper texture for adhesion. Make sure the floor is clean and dry before priming the bare spots with our Concrete & Masonry Bonding Primer to enhance the adhesion. Then, touch up the areas and recoat the surface if needed for uniformity. Customer satisfaction is important to us, and we appreciate your honest feedback. Economical, durable, perfect for my workshop
After 4 months of hard use I'm very impressed. It looks great, dirt grease and oil spills clean right up. No scratch, chip or peel. I did a lot of surface prep, sulfuric acid and many rinses to get the residue out of the concrete, then primed with the Behr primer. 3.5 gallons covered 1,100 square feet. Cost for prep, prime & 1 thick coat inc nonslip was around 40 cents/square foot. I was quoted $3.50 - $4.00 for a professionally applied all-solid 2-part epoxy. I doubt I'd be 10x happier.

Great Color and Epoxy not the same quality
I’ve been using the Behr White Epoxy on my commercial floors and it is hard to maintain even with the high gloss sealer, scuff marks embed in the sealer and the white eventually fades to yellow. Now spots I’ve painted and spots I haven’t started bubbling. If it was a way to make this product not scuff and peel or fade it would be amazing for my gallery.

I bought 2gallons of paint and Followed all the instructions before applying. Applied 2 coats a gap of 1 day. After 1 week when I try to move my household items, the paint started peeling off. It looks very odd. I am still parking my car outside in fear of the entire color should not come out. This product is very very disappointed, and we would not consider recommending this product. It is waste of time and money.

I am just laying down the first and second coat and yes you will need two coats, in my actual experience, to cover evenly gray color and acid etched concrete. I started with one can of "White" which covered 1/4, one coat, of the '3-car' size garage foot print. Then I found Home Depot online had pre-tinted at the factory, a full range of colors, shipped free for $2 less per can than the basic 4 colors keep in stock at the store. That is my idea of a great deal. I switched to Gold Torch to finish the job. It is going to take 5 to 6 gallons to finish the two coats. Thank you Home Depot and BEHR. With the hot weather I do 1 gallon at a time and do not have to reseal and store half used cans. I have had 2 part epoxies lift with hot tires in my past FL garage. I have lower expectations and will not be driving on this painted surface with car / light truck tires regularly. I hope it will hold up as a workshop floor and not lift with lawnmower, trailer and boat trailer tires and the like.

I like Behr products but this is an EXCEPTION!
I really like Behr products. In all my years of painting, I have had only two of their products be of sub par level. This is one of them. The plan was to apply this to our living room floor. We had it mixed to the "Colorful Leaf" which results in a nice burnt orange look. I followed the instructions to the letter. I even called the Behr help line and conversed with them about my project before starting. I applied three coats over a two day period and the results looked amazing. I then left the home with the thermostat set on about 70 F and the dehumidifier running. After two weeks, I returned to find the floor still felt tacky and was soft. I talked with a Behr representative who said that the problem was I applied three coats. I challenged him stating the literature says nothing about more than two coats. It does state "multiple coats may be required". He recommended I remove all the paint and start over. Great solution? In conclusion, he offered to reimburse me for the paint cost. I accepted. I plan on wet sanding all the Behr product off the floor and applying a real, two part epoxy, one that is intended for commercial applications. Thus, I recommend you save yourself a bunch of trouble and avoid this bad paint. If you want an epoxy floor, use a true two part epoxy coating. They are a pain but set hard as rock in a relatively short period. Color choices may be limited but a minor compromise is better than a complete and unmitigated failure.

Hello FCR, thank you for your review. I’m so sorry the paint started coming off so soon. I recommend removing any loose coating, spot etching any bare concrete to feel like 150 grit sandpaper, spot priming the bare concrete spots with our Concrete & Masonry Bonding Primer No. 880 to further help with adhesion in those areas, then touching up and recoating with the paint. Customer satisfaction is important to us, and we appreciate your feedback. Please feel free to reach out to our Customer Care team directly for further assistance with this. Our team is happy to help you! -Joni Behr
