I've used it only twice and I'm still getting used to it. So far, I've found it a little difficult to control precisely although overall I'm satisfied with it's operation. The height setting is a bit difficult to engage. Easy to assemble.

Great product for the price.

I bought this to replace the same model that had finally worn out after years of use. The handle on this model is in three pieces, instead of two like my old B+D Hedgehog model was two, and is mounted into a plastic socket on the motor casing. This results in a lot of rotational free play that makes the edger much more difficult to control.

Easy to handle, even with a cord (I'm using 150' of cord!), and it does a neat job. My walks were overgrown with about years of no edging, and the Black&Decker cleaned them up very nicely. I went over them twice, the second time in "trencher" mode. Nice!

Device needs 2 large front wheels for stability (terrible design). Also needs guide bar to prevent blade hitting concrete sidewalk (hits all the time).

This product was easy to assemble and works great! Sometimes, if you want something done right, you have to do it yourself.

Assembly took no more than 5 minutes. This machine is powerful enough to cut through my thick zoysia grass and leave a crisp beautiful edge with minimal effort!

Works fabulous, hard to find corded ones, didn’t want battery one since big yard and battery can’t last. This one is great!

Reviews on here are not just for the BLACK+DECKER 7.5 in. 12 Amp Corded Electric 2-in-1 Lawn Edger & Trencher which is what I was considering. After finding the specific reviews for this product and looking at it in store I've changed my mind. Looks very cheap made. Can easily see problem with the thin plastic wheel. As others have stated it apparantly does not cut threw thick grass that's over the edge of a drive or sidewalk. I believe B&D went downhill years ago.

As others have mentioned, it's not the sturdiest machine out there, but for the price it is about what you'd expect. Besides, a decent gasoline powered edger is going to cost you at least four times as much. Putting it together requires you to install the two piece handle and tighten. Pretty simple. That said, it does what it is supposed to-- for home use it should take care of your driveway. Has enough power to cut through dirt and grass. So overall I'll give it five stars.

Such a reliable tool! Love the ease and the clean edging makes my lawn look professionally trimmed.

I was looking for a CORDED edger, NOT run on batteries. Batteries never last a full job, require ages to charge, life diminishes over time. They are a time waster and money sink for the manufacturers! I was pretty happy, at least I thought, to find the B&D Edge Hog. It seemed to be the only corded edger available around here. To my dismay, what was in the box, is NOT what was shown in the video here! Really cheap quality, only two height settings! Seems like a bait and switch by B&D. Beware!

I am very dissapointed with the product. It was not useable after approximately 400 feet of use. The guide has broken loose and collides with the cutting blade. This breakdown occurred on its first use. I didn't even get to edge all the driveway.

Purchase the Black & Decker corded electric lawn edger used it once and it was wondeful...can't wait to use it again!

Easy to use, great results, gave up on gas edgers.

Edges very nicely. I haven't tried the trencher feature yet. Highly recommend.

I love this edger! This is my second purchase of this model B&D edger. My first one lasted for 7 years of pretty heavy usage before the bearings gave out. Powerful. Dependable. Easy to assemble and operate. Cuts a neat, clean edge. Definitely recommend!

This edger is perfect for my needs. I live on a corner lot and the edger gives my yard a professional finished look. It's easy to use and works perfect.

I love this product. The one that I have been using for 12 years quit working. Not sure if motor burned up or a problem in the switch. So this my 2nd machine.
