Very good

This is a good quality latch, and easy to install. The striker plate that is included, but not shown, creates too many unnecessary holes in the gate upright. If it was all one piece, it would be a better assembly.

This Gate latch is one of the best I have ever used as well installed for several people not just for my own fence I installed. Heavy Duty and a good positive latching when gate is swung closed. It does not have that rattle sound as many other latches have, good and solid sounding when latched.

Easy to install, I backed it up with treated 2x4 inside posts

This latch is working with one big issue. It was not clear that the striker need to be mounted back on the gate so the holes for a lock are being abstructed by the screws.

easy to install and works great.

Was easy to install the "catch rod" to the gate due to the inner metal frame of the vinyl gate side members. Having a metal insert in the post (where the latch attaches) makes for a secure setup when attaching to vinyl. Would recommend a piece of 1/8" aluminum as an internal backing when attaching to vinyl. Works perfectly.

Home Depot site notes stainless steel. Boerboel site notes steel, not stainless steel. Pivot screw was not long enough for the nylon locking nut to be useful. Tightening the nut to the point that the nylon locking engages prevents the handle from moving.

Looks good and works well. The pieces of the latch mechanism separated and the spring flew off. It took me a bit of time and thinking to get it re-assembled in a way that did not bind the spring. Since this separation occurs easily, it would be good to have an illustration of the correct assembly and spring attach location to simplify re-assembly.

The latch was well made and works well, unfortunately the screws provided were poorly made aluminum screws rather than stainless steel screws. Even after drilling 1/8" pilot holes as instructed in the directions 2 screws sheared off while being driven. Very disappointed.
