DO NOT PURCHASE THIS TUB. I ordered WHITE- the tub arrived in a box marked WHITE yet the tub is not white. Bootz is claiming their WHITE is really OFF-WHITE. Really? Then you should call it OFF-WHITE. Tub does not match my TOTO white toilet.

The tub looked great except around the drain area where it is pretty rough, hope it cleans up easy. Love the effect of the coating on the outside. Just installed as part of a complete bathroom renovation.

I was a skeptic and boy I was wrong, Unless your budget requires you to use this bootz tub or bootzcast please avoid if you have the extra money and this topic that i see a lot no quality control is completely true, bottom was not flat or level even on level floor, sides bent you name it. I am settling for acrylic I thought i was avoiding issues getting cast but if its no made properly its trouble, I understand it may be hard to manufacturer these and keep them to spec with weight and all but if that's the case for you guys don't manufacture garbage!

Nice white ceramic coating, Good quality, solid construction. Light enough to handle alone. Good insulation surrounding tub.

Couldn't find one that wasn't cracked
We went through two of these tubs both of them came in cracked, and the other three that we checked at the Home Depot stores were also damaged. We ended up going with a different brand. Incredibly frustrating.

          Not a quality product
Purchased tub and took it home. Box was in perfect condition but the finish had a scratch and was very thin in one big spot. Returned tub for refund. Tried to purchase another one and it was even more damaged. Went with another brand from another chain.

Built-in base is a problem if your floor is not level and flat
This tub could be a great tub with the right conditions. It has a built-in coated styrofoam base, so a mortar base is not needed. This is great if your floor is level and flat (like a plywood base floor). However, my foundation is concrete, which was neither flat nor level. I ended up having to cut off the tub base using a vibrating cutter in order to have the tub level up without a big gap between the floor and the flat side of the tub. I used Great Stuff foam between the tub and the floor for support (be sure to fill the tub after setting it to keep the foam from lifting the tub up). I also found that the styrofoam insulation around the overflow hole kept the tube from seating well, which resulted in leaks. I had to remove the insulation in that area and apply silicone caulk to stop the leak. So if your foundation is level and flat, this tub is five stars. If not, save your money and buy a cheaper tub without the insulation and built in base. A tub without a base will make your installation job much easier.

            Poory designed - Don't buy
Many problems with this tub, Home Depot should stop selling it. Here are all the problems I had. Overflow hole is a little too small and not at the standard angle. A standard overflow drain pipe does not fit properly. The insulation is too thick around the overflow and bottom drain holes, has to be cut away. The back top edge was bowed out by 1/2" in the middle. The installation instructions require a 2x4 support under the left side and back edges of the tub, but the insulation is not tight against the tub, so the 2x4 really does nothing. After modifications, I got the tub secured in place with the drain connected, when I discovered a flaw in the porcelain finish. It did not show when I first unpacked the tub. Now I have to patch the chip. I will never buy another BOOTZCAST product. I went back to the store and talked to the plumbing associate, he said they have lots of problems with BOOTZCAST tubs and agreed that Home Depot needs to stop carrying them.

              Yuck...white has dingy look
Call me picky, but I expect my new white tub to be close to as white as the toilet and sink. Nope this tub is off-white, just short of almond. Contractor had to bring the label off the box because I was sure he'd purchased wrong tub. Yep... and it did get chipped during installation, Very bad purchase all the way around,

                Great overall value
I was drawn to this product because of its foam insulation and the description said it had a foam pad that made installation easier. That couldn't be farther from the truth, in order to get the tub to sit level I had to sand down more than 3/4" of the foam insulation. Beyond the installation issues its a great product

                New Tub
It had a scratch on the front edge of the tub that went down to the metal. It came out of the box like that, so it came from the manufacturer that way. The packaging wasn't damaged at all so quality control is really lacking to let something like that through.

                EXTREMELY frustrated
We didn't even get to try to install one of these tubs. I had read all the bad reviews, but was hopeful that maybe ours would be one of the 5 star products. When my installer took the first one out of the box, we found the surface near the drain to be defective and we saw a nick on the porcelain on the apron. He took that one back and had to go to a different store to find more. There he opened two more only to find defects. As another reviewer commented, that has to make you wonder about the quality of the product and/or quality control at that manufacturer. Home Depot needs to reconsider stocking this item.

This Tub is the one for me. It is insulated well. However the porcelain chips very easy so buy a repair kit.

                    White is not White
I selected this tub because it was recommended to me on places like Reddit and by reputable installers on YT. After going through 3 of them until we found one that wasn't chipped or damaged, we finally found one that would work. I think this is a big red flag. We got two of them home before we noticed there was damage. If you do decide on this tub, make sure you get it out of the box and inspect every inch. Other than that, the tub is sturdy and seems well built. The biggest problem (other than losing a half a day trying to find an undamaged one) I have is that the "WHITE" color is not actually WHITE. It doesn't match subway tile or my Kohler toilet. It's more of an off-white. If I had the option, I would choose something else with better quality control with the finish and color.

                        Bootzcast Awesome Bathtub
I Purchase This Boozcast Bathtub from Home Depot without inspecting it First and This Bathtub was Excellent right out of the Box, there were no issues at all. once installed the Bathtub Looked Beautiful And after taking a hot bath in it, the Tub kept the water hot to warm for at least 30-40 Minutes. I'm very please with this Product and would highly recommend it for Purchasing. I also rented a Home Depot Truck for $20 and was able to bring My Bathtub and the #4 Glass Sliding Doors to my home and return The truck in time without additional cost. Once installed by my Certified Plummer, the overall Installment Of Bathtub and Sliding Glass Doors Was Just Plainly Beautiful. everything worked as advertised and I'm very please with the purchase of both the Bootzcast Bathtub and The Glass Sliding Doors. updated and changed out all of the Faucets and Shower head with Mohen's Products. Just absolutely Beautiful.

                          Avoid at all cost
After reading all of the not so good reviews about the poor finish chipping, cracking, and not lasting, I thought they were just isolated cases. So, going against my better judgement and not listening to what others were saying, I decided to purchase the tub anyway. So, I get home and open the new sealed box and there was a glaring 1 inch by 3/8 inch piece of enamel that had come right off next to the drain on the tub floor (right down to the bare steel)!! I'm thinking to myself, how in the world did this thing make it past Bootz quality and control or even make it out the door?! Now, if it came off during shipping, then the durability factor is zero, but at the same time I also didn't find any enamel fragments anywhere. Not mention, the internal packing was very poor, only 2 small strips of Styrofoam along the top edge of the tub. Everything else was open space. Long story short, I returned the tub the very next day. Instead, I spent a hundred dollars more and got a nice Kohler cast iron tub that looks beautiful and will LAST! I'm investing a lot of time and money in my remodel. If you skimp on buying this junk and have to redo everything later on because it won't last, then an extra hundred dollars is worth it's weight in gold. Kudos to Home Depot for their return policy. The gal at the return desk said she was embarrassed, but hey, it's not Home Depot's fault. It's Bootz! Poor workmanship for US made. : (

                          It's not white
Great looking tub. Looks easy to install, but I didn't install it as it doesn't come close to matching the white of the Kohler toilet I also bought at Home Depot. This tub is a bone color even though it is listed as white. Only other brand of white steel tub Home Depot sells is American Standard which has very bad ratings. L...s doesn't have other choices either. Off to the plumber in hopes of better choices.

Damaged and missing specifications for installation
Just unboxed this tub and found the corner was dented and the porcelain was chipped. No obvious packaging damage, so this could be a QC issue or just insufficient padding to protect the tub during shipping/moving around. Also found that HD does not provide a PDF file with a spec sheet detailing the plumbing offsets required for installation. The box did not include this information. Tubs from other manufacturers include this information. Missing this info forces me to completely unpack the tub and measure the offsets, then do the framing. Not happy about having the tub unboxed and unprotected during this time. A simple sheet containing the offset length to the drain and the height to the overflow would avoid this. Hope the replacement tub is undamaged. I would recommend this tub as long as the above concerns are not an issue for you.

Good product, but had a defect.
Everything was good regarding installation. I saw a plastic Bootzcast oval logo glued to the foot of the tub. I thought it was just a logo tag and did not remove it until the tub was fully installed and tiled. To my surprise the logo fell off and behind it the enamel was gone down to the black cast. I am very unhappy and it has ruined the beautiful look of my tub. I have no chose now but to try and cover it either with the glued logo or touch-up enamel. I will never buy anything more made by Bootzcast.

Bootzcast 5ft right hand drain soaking tub
I bought this tub based on my needs. I needed a tub to fit the alcove with a right hand drain. Because the house is built on a slab, (in south Florida) there is very little room for error. The schematic of this right hand drain tub is incorrect. I informed the company (Bootzcast) of the error. Before you set the plumbing, measure the actual tub. The error on the schematic would cause a mistake upon install. When the tub is installed I will post again. I fully expect it to work nicely
