Worked less than 30 seconds! Literally broke within 30 seconds of use. I read multiple poor reviews of this product before I bought it....they are apparently true!

We installed the first combo speed micro unit in mid 2016. In December of 2023, the heating functions for both the convection oven and the microwave stopped getting hot. We literally used the oven function maybe two dozen times in those 7 years. We used the micro function nearly every day to heat up food or beverages, not for cooking. I think it may have been the panel that died rendering this unit useless. It was advised that we replace <> not repair, so that's what we did. I hope that the longevity lasts much longer this time.

Installed and it worked about 10 seconds!!! Literally worked for about 10 seconds before completely dying!! I am awaiting the solution that Bosch proposes.... So far, AVOID.

This Bosch came with the new construction house I purchased. From day one, I had issues with the appliance. It blew the breaker on a daily basis. Had a repair person come out and look at it. Replaced the door switches. Nope. Still blew the breaker. Had an electrician look at the outlet and circuit. All was fine. So had repair person come back out. Replaced more parts. Kept blowing the breaker. Finally, it just died. Dead display. Circuit not blown. Just kaput. AWFUL!!

Have had this unit appliance nearly 5 years now, and it has randomly shut off during/after use many times over the course of these years. Calling yet again today for a repair, though so many "fixes" have yielded no long-lasting results. When it works, it's great, but comes at the cost of lots of frustration.

Totally crap product I would never trust bosch again. I don't know whether it deserves one star also. I failed again and again. I will never buy any Bosch product in future and I will refrain my friends too.

I wanted a double oven, however my space only allowed a microwave over a single oven, that is until I found the Bosch Speed oven! This oven is a combination microwave and oven with broiler too! I love it! I get the best of both all in one appliance, so now I get my double oven and still a microwave too! Kudos to Bosch!!

This microwave/convection oven is nothing special, especially for the price. We bought it because it was the same basic size as our old one. One of the things I dislike about it is the sound of the timer. Unless you are right next to the oven, you can barely hear the timer go off even on the loudest setting. It is pretty and functional but there are other products out for less money. We just did not want a lot of cabinetry work done.

This is a sorry example of what Bosch is selling. A few months after 1 year warranty expired, it failed. Cost nearly $600 to fix it. 4 months later - it failed again. Turntable spins, but no heating of food. Repair shop said they'd cover repair this time as their 1 year repair warranty was still valid. But after waiting several months, they can't get the parts from Bosch to fix it. The magnetron seems to be the weak link in all this and I'm assuming so many have failed they cant' get more of them. I will avoid all Bosch products going forward.

It is beautiful, roomy, and the Sensor Reheat button is such a gift! I simply place my leftover dish inside, press Sensor Reheat and know I will have a perfectly reheated dish! The design is sleek and sophisticated.

I don't know that I've ever been disappointed enough in an appliance to write a review but here goes.... It was fine while it lasted, but that wasn't too long. We installed during a remodel and, regrettably, designed a cabinet to fit the appliance. A part on the bottom of the door inexplicably broke and the customer-service to try and order the part was absurd. The warranty is stunningly short and we were told that we first needed to pay a repair person to visit the appliance and then the part could be ordered (with us then having to pay a repair person to revisit and do an install). While we were figuring out a better process to fix this piece, the microwave blew a fuse in the house. The fuse wouldn't reset until we unplugged the microwave. We replugged the microwave and the fuse immediately blew. There are virtually no repair people for this unit and they are all booked solid and charge $250 just to visit (again, no apparent ability to pre-order the needed part). For this price, it should last more than a couple of years. I had always thought Bosch products were quality but the flimsy one-year warranty by itself strongly suggests otherwise. Buyer beware.

This unit lasted less than two years—first repair was a fuse, covered by warranty. Second repair was for the magnetron—should have been covered by warranty but Bosch took a month after I requested service to turn up, and then never answered my calls or e-mails. Repairmen are few and far between and Bosch does not follow up with its customers, so You are left with an expensive paperweight. I gave up and bought a KitchenAid convection. More expensive, but they have a longer warranty and better reliability.

We purchased this class 5 years ago and it's been nothing but problems. To date, we had to have a door lock replaced (so that it would turn-on) and replace the electronic panel on top TWICE...the lights slowly dimmed until they went out. The average microwave is suppose to last 10 years...this thing started having problems year 3. I will never buy a Bosch product again.

We purchased the microwave 11/2018 and it died 6/2020 - only 1 year and 7 months later! Really????? During its brief lifespan, the microwave worked very well, but there is room for some definite design improvements. The door opens top to bottom and the microwave is very deep. It was extremely awkward to clean and at times to use. The panel light was barely visible and the alert tones way too subtle. My Bosche oven opens from the side - an amazingly convenient option and the panel light is much brighter (the alert tones are still too subtle though).

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a nice, powerful microwave. It is good looking, easy to use, and has many settings and some nice options, including convection. I would have given it a 5 star rating if only the alerts (the ding when it's done, timer) were more audible. As it is, the alerts are not very loud, even with the higher volume setting. Also the illumination on the the control panel is not very bright. (I also have the Bosch oven and it does not have these issues.) Note that the door opens from top to bottom. If you have it installed above an oven and are not tall (like me!), it can be difficult to get things in and out of the oven.

We bought and installed this in 04/2017. It is 05/2020 and the oven died. Are you telling me that a microwave oven only lasts 3 years?

My 800 Series Speed oven has not been good since day one. It's sensor reheat never worked and after less than two years in service the turntable tray stopped rotating. Light your hair on fire and run away. Did I mention that the matching I've has already had a service call too. Talk about a declining brand, Bosch is it.

This is a review of the model that preceded this model. I purchased HMC87151UC in December 2016. It looked beautiful and fit in nicely with my renovation of my kitchen. After one year, the display became very dim. I had that repaired. After another year, in 2018, the microwave function stopped working. That repair was effective for another year, and then the microwave stopped working again. I had it repaired again. Then, 3 months later, the microwave stopped working again. This has been a very disappointing experience with a product, that, because it is a Bosch product, just did not perform up to the brand reputation. I don't believe that there was sufficient quality control in the manufacture of this model. I feel very let down.

Nice lookig but broke down 2xs already. Had the repair guy here 2x for the first breakdown and he had to replace most of the internial parts. Then a couple of months go by and it stops working again.

Replaced a 30 year old Thermador Microwave. This unit is great. Should of replaced our unit years ago.
