Hi! We apologize that the plunge base is not working properly. It may be helpful to apply a small amount of dry lube/graphite to the plunge rods to assist with the plunge action. Also, if the lock lever was over tightened this may be cause. The router has a 1-year warranty,, we encourage you to take that into consideration in order to send the tool in for repair. It is also designed for you to be able to adjust it from the top of the table using the T-wrench.
