[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Purchased this thru an open box website to replace a 16 year old Danby. The dishwasher arrived so well packed there was never a chance for damage. Had a professional install it and he was mighty impressed by the entire unit. As for me, I cannot say enough good things about this dishwasher. It is beyond quiet, is exceptional in its cleaning ability and has been a delight to own. There is a bit of adjustment in understanding how to load the second rack but that would be the case no matter what dishwasher I purchased, things change, I'll adjust. Love the cutlery rack, makes loading the main rack so much easier. Some have complained about the lack of a heating unit to dry the dishes, we have not missed this at all and appreciate the flexibility in being able to load without worry of melting plastic or damaging delicate items. Dishes come out dry and squeaky clean. We have no hesitation in recommending this model to anyone needing a compact dishwasher.

I can fit more plates in this little dishwasher than I could in the full size one. It's super quiet, very energy efficient and the dishes come out sparking clean. Easy to install and easy to use, this dishwasher packs a punch when it comes to efficiency for cleaning. I strongly recommend it!

Button labels are cheaply stamped onto surface. As buttons are on top edge, close to dishwasher, the steam wears off the button labels. Bosch's customer service was terrible, they do not support their customers. Many people on line have complained of similar issue. Not worth the high cost and then to have to replace the control panel and pay for a plumber to install it..only to have it happen again. I would NOT recommend this product. Bosch needs to take responsibility and fix the design flaw.

We have had this dishwasher for only a year now and the exterior face of the supposedly stainless steel door has developed small rust spots. We have only ever used stainless steel cleaner and a soft cloth to clean. The machine does a good job cleaning but for the price we paid for the unit it is unacceptable that the quality of the material used for the facade is so poor. One last note, we have several other stainless steel appliances that we have had for 3-5 years, none of them Bosch, and not one of them has a spot of rust.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We love our little dishwasher, everything comes out very clean and dryer than I've ever seen a dishwasher able to do before. Only issue is the configuration of the tines, doesn't seem to fit as much as our old 18", the silverware rack is nice, but we can't put tall things on the second rack, can't fit stemware very well without purchasing the accessory. Will be keeping, may purchase some more clips for light items because we wash a lot of plastic containers and they flip easily and then end up filled with water. But overall 5 stars!!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We have owned this Dishwasher for over a year and have been satisfied with its performance, looks and durability. First, it is visually appealing. The stainless steel finish complements a kitchen that contains other stainless steel appliances. The inner configuration works perfectly for me and my wife. A larger family may have issues with such a small size dishwasher. However, our Washington, D.C. home has a relatively small kitchen and this dishwasher fit in perfectly. The inner racks are adjustable. The middle rack can be raised/lowered to accomodate specific items. My only issue is there is not sufficient space for glassware. However, there is sufficient space for plates/saucers and utensils. We really like the flat utensil tray as our forks and spoons are really clean and rinsed well after the normal cycle. We highly recommend this dishwasher for small kitchens.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am quite disappointed with this machine. It is an 18" unit, so smaller than normal, which I suspected. However, it is very awkward to put glasses in the top shelf top no matter how I adjust the shelves. But the worst part is the white seal in the front shows when the machine is closed. My contractor and the installer say there is no way to hide it. It looks so unfinished. The utensils don't always get cleaned when I put them on the very top shelf. I do, however, like the adjustable shelves.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We bought this model to open up more cabinet space in a small kitchen. I do NOT miss my bigger one as I now don't feel guilty doing smaller loads. It allows you so many options in length of wash, etc. that doing 2 or more loads in a day, if necessary, isn't a chore. The ONLY complaint I have is the bottom rack tines that hold the plates, etc, are too close together. Just a fraction of an inch would have made them more useful as they sometimes make it hard to get things between them. I was misinformed about the ability to dry and this model dries just as well and sometimes better than my old model that had a heating element. It is soooo quiet, that the only thing we hear is water filling and sometimes emptying. I am one happy dishwasher now! Whe people say Bosch is the best.....believe it!

We did a lot of research before choosing an 18" dishwasher for our small house. It looks great, it is very quiet, and it washes dishes well. The dishes come out spotless if you follow the directions. an 18" dishwasher is probably only big enough for 3-4 people max at one load per day.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We bought this dishwasher as part of a kitchen upgrade about 10 months ago. After researching the different brands for noise, cleaning, reliability, etc., we decided to spend a little extra for the Bosch brand. The smaller, 18" machine fits perfectly into our kitchen counter arrangement. The installation was fairly straightforward. I had to rough in the electric, water and drain. And then connect it all together. The cleaning is generally good as far as plates, glassware, silverware, etc. But, we still have to prewash pots/pans with baked/cooked-on food, either before or after the cycle is complete. We love that this dishwasher is so quiet. One of the racks was shipped with a chip in the coating. So, I need to get that replaced before it rusts. But, otherwise we are perfectly happy (in case you can't tell) with this product.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We have a 400 square foot “park model” that needed updating. We had a small dishwasher that we replaced with our new Bosch dishwasher. It is exceptional. It is the difference between night and day. Wonderful features and absolutely quiet. The old dish washer sounded like a jet taking off with full afterburners on. We ran it at night when everyone had gone to bed. The Bosch can be run anytime as you don’t hear it!! Incredible!!

As a result you can see the exposed glides and the piece of raw lumber that was used to install under the glides. It looks very unfinished. I am wondering why the toe kick was not made to fit and look better

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Nice little dishwasher. Holds more than I expected. Does a nice job cleaning the dishes. My only issue is the detergent pods often get stuck in the dispenser and don't fall into the dishwasher. Then I have to rerun the load. I've just been throwing the pods in the bottom instead of using the dispenser. Might have to switch to solid hard Finish Tabs, liquid or powder detergent.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was up against a challenge looking for a new 18" dishwasher to replace my old GE that had run its course. My old appliance was not cleaning well, the spring on the door was broken, and the racks were rusting. I assumed the poor cleaning performance was due to age and that the unit needed general cleaning and service. The final straw was when the water intake became clogged and the machine could not pull water. I left the country for 4 months before having the opportunity to look for a new machine. Upon my return, I realized I was going to have to get rid of dishes and switch to paper plates or get rid of my toddler.....because there just wasn't time for it all. Fortunately, a local store had an open box, Bosch 18" on their showroom floor. I had been told by my local appliance repair guy to only buy GE, Whirlpool, etc....but time was of the essence and I had heard good things about Bosch. Because I had spend the last few years "cleaning up" plates before and after putting them in my old machine, I decided that I would rather pay more for a superior product that would save me time and money in the long run. I have now been using my new Bosch for 1 1/2 months and am loving it! I love the extra room I get on my 18" dishwasher just from the 3rd rack and adjustable racks. I no longer have to worry about putting bowls and large items on the bottom rack since the top rack has its own cleaning arm. Dishes come out clean and dry - eliminating all the time I spent checking each plate and fork to make sure there was no stuck-on food and re-washing 1/4 of the load. I love how quiet the machine is too! Now, my only challenge is to figure out the child-proof settings to prevent my toddler from stopping the machine mid-cycle. So happy I made the switch to Bosch....only regret is that I didn't do it sooner!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I recently had to purchase a new dishwasher after falling on my old one while the door was open (I’m okay, it was a slow fall but wrecked the door of my dishwasher.). Initially I purchased an updated version of the brand I had, however I found several serious problems with the unit and the vendor was unwilling or unable to resolve it so back it went. My son recommended this unit as he has it in his home and has been nothing but pleased. It is expensive to be sure but WOW, the cleanest of the dishes, the quietness of the unit and the ability to program it to suit my schedule and needs balances the cost. Too, I LOVE the silverware tray at the top...it’s so convenient and logical to be able to lay out things in an orderly fashion. In comparison with my old unit, there is no comparison. Yes, I’ve had to learn how to load this unit as the racks are different from my other dishwasher, so I’ll learn. I also like that I can load plastics in the lower rack since there is no traditional heating coil to dry the dishes. I see some have complained about this, but I haven’t found this to be a problem yet as the dishes are dry at the end of the cycle. I’m very pleased overall with this dishwasher and only wish I had known about it sooner. Thanks

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This dishwasher is perfect for the space we had available in our existing apartment kitchen where there wasn't a dishwasher previously. It is compact yet spacious enough inside to accomodate a decent load of dishes, etc. One very slight drawback is that there seems to be too many configuration options inside designed, as I understand it, to accomodate a wide variety of items and/or sizes in the dishwasher. Sometimes, less is more.

It’s really quiet and washes the dishes quite well, I was impressed. I love the 3rd rack for silverware and utensils. Be aware that this dishwasher is set up for “special height requirements” so it will leave extra space betweeen the top of the machine and the bottom of the countertop if you don’t plan accordingly

The controls are a challenge and it was 2 inches shorter than standard size. There are no clear instructions on loading wine glasses and such. It is beautiful and does a good job and cleaning. I like the eco cycle.

We love our dishwasher. It fits everything we use in there. We like that it’s compact looking, but when you open it up, it’s like a full-size dishwasher. Very quiet running as well. Love it lots!

I like the 3rd tray for flatware, but also comes with a basket you can use if you like. Has a built in water softener that I wasn't even aware of when we bought it. Very glad we bought it.
