The fan works quite well. It took two of us three hours to install it. The switch seems flimsy but seems to work well now. It’s also a little noisy.

Cheaply made,not like the ones from the 50s and 60s, poor chain guide design makes the chain hang up to the point that you have to manually have to open the door.Other than that,the fan works fine,
bet plastic cover will not hold up to chain stress of pulling through and eventually will crack.Too bad,thought it would be a nice replacement for older homes with thru wall exhaust fans.

This fan is supposed to be a direct replacement for the older 1960,s model. However. The idiot engineers that designed it moved the electrical box connection to the other side!! This makes it impossible to do the replacement without ripping the wall apart and reframing it!!! I returned it.

I would have thought that in the interim of when the last fan was purchased (16 years) Broan could have figured out how to make the motor quieter. It does draw well (I have it in the kitchen). There does not seem to be a competing product as far as I can tell for a quieter version.

Sorry, I had to return it because the electrician (when he came to see this product after I ordered it) was able to fix my old exhaust fun (placed in 1958) and I do not need it anymore.

The pull chain broke as soon as I installed and pulled it. I had to buy another pull chain. The chain should be made sturdier so that it doesn’t break when pulled.

I needed a good exhaust fan for my hot tub building to get the moist air out when we have it opened for long periods and this fan really moves the air. I liked the fact that I didn't have to wire a switch to operate the fan.
