I'm no spring chicken anymore, so my trusty ol' commercial grade wood step ladders have become a bit of a hassle to use. The lighter weight, generously sized step surfaces, handy tray, good stability, and ease of opening/closing make this an excellent ladder for me to use around the house. Best of all, the high, padded grasping handle bar helps the user to maintain balance, thus enhancing safety and performance. The ladder is well designed, well made, and sturdy.
Sturdy, Easy to Move, Good Size & Weight, Durable, Nice Design, grasping handle for safety, compact storage
Great ladder, I had a two stepper like this that I have had for many years, but needed something taller & heavier weight load capacity. Have looked all over for one until I found this one and Home Depot had it for the Best Price. Exactly what I wanted. Well made, strong, sturdy. Only wish It had anti-skid rubber leg tips instead of hard plastic, but they all use that. I replaced them myself just to make me feel safer, no big deal.
Ladder arrived quickly. I'm chronologically advanced, so I'm not enthused with climbing high. This ladder is easy to open/close, and was easy to remove from the box. But what sold me on the ladder was how I felt steady and secure when I'd climbed to the top step. Good sized shelf also. Price was right. What else is there to discuss?
This step ladder was just what I needed. I have arthritis so it is hard for me to climb on a regular ladder. The rise on those ladders is 12 inches or more. This ladder was easy to open and has a bar to grip when I climb, and the rise is less than 10 inches. I had previously ordered a so called safety ladder but it was heavy and impossible to open. I wish that I had ordered this ladder first. I could saved myself a lot of money
We purchased this particular ladder because it has a tray/shelf to set things on. We thought this would be handy in our kitchen so that things could be set on the shelf and then moved into or taken down from high storage without having to bend down to the counter. What I didn't realize is that the shelf is the same height as our kitchen counters, thereby defeating the purpose of having a shelf to set things on. The shelf at counter height also means if the step ladder is placed facing the cabinets, it's far away and we have to stretch to reach into the cabinets. We were also a bit annoyed that it's not obvious how to open the ladder. Once you figure out to pull the shorter legs out it works fine, but some instruction on the ladder would have been nice. It's a solid, sturdy ladder and I like that it has a higher weight limit. I'm sure it's a fine ladder for general household use, but it's not ideal as a kitchen step ladder.
Difficult to Use, not good for kitchen use
ONE OF THE FEW STEP LADDERS OF ITS SIZE TO BE RATED TO 300LBS. VERY SECURE EVEN WHEN ON TOP STEP. CUSHION HANDLE, WIDE STEPS AND ACCESORY TRAY WITH PAPER TOWEL HOLDER ARE ALL NICE FEATURES. MIGHT BE A LITTLE HEAVY AND LARGE FOR KITCHEN DUTY OR USE IN SMALL BATHROOMS BUT EXCELLENT FOR PAINTING CEILINGS. I AM 5' 9" AND EASILY REACHED 8' CEILINGS TO TAPE, PAINT AND TOUCHUP.
needed a 3 step ladder for chandeliers, overhead fixtures and general all around "high" cleaning.
feel safe, secure - ladder is very sturdy. will come in handy when hanging holiday garland on front door as well as changing light bulbs esp. outdoor fixutres. the shelf is perfect for necessities such as paper towel rolls and bottle cleaner Forget those old fashioned heavy ladders that are awkward. this ladder is especially perfect for those vertically challenged, females, senior citizens etc. Great buy, great deal.
