What can you say about seeds? Well if most of them germinate and grow well, I'd say we have a winner. As with any carrot seed, they are microscopic and difficult to sow just one in any specific location. So we just drop a few here and there and hope for the best. So far so good. The germination rate is surprisingly good. The seeds come moisture treated and sealed in an air tight, lined envelope. There is also a date on the package, so you know if the seeds are fresh. We are growing them in a sandy, compost, clay mixture. Not the most ideal soil, which is why we added the sand and composted manure. They seem happy and growing. It is a slow process, but they are doing great.The flavor is good for eating fresh. They are very mild tasting when cooked. I got more carrots from these seeds than I've ever had before! They've come up 3 years in a row. Which you would think because you pick them, they would be done but for some reason, we have another crop of these without planting!

Excellent germination and delicious fresh carrots! That's what you'll get from this pack of awesomeness! I only planted a few seeds last year to try these out and they grew perfectly. I planted last year in a pot that was deep enough for the carrots to grow and they did excellent. This year I planted a row of these seeds in my garden. The seedlings emerge in about 14 days. Kids love them because it is a surprise each time you pull a carrot because you get a different color each time. Try them, you'll be glad you did!

I’ve been buying these for my daughter’s garden for a few years now and they do well for her. We don’t really have the type of soil that is necessary to grow carrots, with too much clay already and she hasn’t added much to loosen the soil and have better drainage but these seeds really do produce the carrots that are pictured on the package. All different colors and some differences in size but they sure do taste good. For the small prices she has fun growing them and they look crazy with different colors but they grow easily and taste very good too!

I bought Kaleidoscope carrot seeds and have had them two days so I would not be able to give them a rating too soon. The photo on the front looks delicious but that is all I can say.

This is our second year planting these. Each color carrot tastes a little different but all were great. Planted twice as many this year because my wife enjoyed them so much.

Why would you ask me to review this product before they are able to germinate and produce carrots? I chose these seeds because they are a variety of colors. The packaging is sealed. It is a convenient size, unlike those OTHER carrot seeds that come in a shoebox. I look forward to holding them, cigar like, and ask Fudd “what’s up, doc?” This summer but it is far too early to tell how many will germinate, whether the proportions of non-orange carrots are reflective of the packaging, whether the varieties are disease resistant, or any of the other things I expect of them. At this point these are simply aspirational carrots. Carrots of hope.

Love burpee seeds, always get tasty veggies!

We planted about half the package, and only 5 sprouted. When we harvested and tasted them, they tasted like turnips, bitter, and no carrot flavor at all. We will be sticking to regular carrots from now on.
