Used to protect hardwood floor
I didn't really see any reviews if would protect hardwood floor. I gave it a shot as I am doing a big remodel but didn't want to refinish my true hardwood flooring. This stuff rocked! I was afraid of it not sticking enough, then afraid of sticking too much upon removal. Of you remove it slow, you can see it did what it was supposed to do. There's no residue on my flooring and I'll have an easy mop job to clean up the rest. I even scraped off my texture ceiling on top off this stuff. I will keep this stuff on hand for future work over hardwood floors.

I used carpet shield and covered all the carpet in my home with carpet shield.

No one cares about your carpet as much as you do. If you're moving and you have multiple people moving furniture, boxes etc, especially if it's been snowing or raining, this is invaluable. I put it down in the house I was moving from (in which I had just cleaned carpets) and the house I was moving to.

I don't usually believe a lot of product reviews, and don't write many reviews, but in this case you should DEFINITELY PAY ATTENTION. This product DOES provide an effective barrier to dirt being ground into your carpet and is very durable. BUT, you WILL DEFINITELY HAVE TO HAVE YOUR CARPETS CLEANED AFTER USING THIS FILM. It will leave a very slightly STICKY RESIDUE after removal, that in a very short time will collect normal household dust and dirt. You will see a line at the edges of where the film was placed. As stated in other reviews it will be somewhat difficult to remove. In our case it was used over a "Berber" type carpet and in areas next to an edge it DID pull loose ends of the carpet pile up, so be cautious when removing this product. I will never use this product again.

Shoppers BEWARE!! This is the WORST product out there for floor protection!! My husband is a builder & we recently built our dream home. He purchased this product (without reading the other reviews :( ) laid it out over our brand new carpeting that cost over 7k to (in place for only 48 hrs). Took 4 ppl to remove each section (2 to pull & 2 to hold down the carpeting), it's adhesive is so strong that we almost ripped the carpet out!!! Every section where this was applied, was left with an adhesive track that has now discolored our VERY expensive carpeting. We are devastated!
The 1st photo in my review shows 'Carpet Shield' in place, the next 3 photos display the aftermath in 3/5 rooms.

What a mess! We applied this film to a totally dry carpet in an air conditioned house. It was only down for a few days, just long enough to move in furniture and boxes. When we pulled it up, the adhesive transferred to the carpet pile and now it's acting like a magnet for dust and dirt! The carpet "shield" is creating the very problem it was supposed to prevent. Now we have to spend over $100 to have the carpets cleaned professionally and get this sticky glue off. Save yourself the bother and don't buy this product!

Bought a roll of this to protect the floors during a move. It applied easily just by rolling with my foot then cutting with a knife. I would 100% recommend and buy again.

This is a great tool to keep carpet clean during family events! Great quality. I recommend to use with to people as it is sticky on one side and can be challenging to maneuver at times. I professionally got my carpet clean, after drying I cover them all with this. I replace it every 30 day or so. Very handy if you don’t like carpet much or if you want to keep large flooring space clean longer.

Did not stick!
This product stuck to itself very well, but not to the Carpet! Very disappointed. We laid this down on brand new carpet before movers arrived. We were able to make it work by laying down multiple strips side by side, but still Super disappointed that it didn’t do the job that it claimed it would do.

Do NOT recommend. It doesn't adhere to the carpet so it moves if you walk on it, which defeats the purpose. They need to make the adhesive stronger. It's also hard to work with. Don't waste your money.

You need 2 people to use this product; one person to hold it at top of stairs and the other to pull it while simultaneously pressing it onto the carpet. It worked great to protect our carpet during remodel on very high traffic area and workers with dirty shoes.
