Bought and installed two of these, and I’m really happy with how they turned out. They’re very sleek and modern and operate nicely - fan is quiet and smooth. Worked well on our vaulted ceiling with an 18’’ extended mount with brushed slate finish. Remote works well with 4 speeds and light dimming. Only complaint I have is that the fan blades are essentially rigid plastic. I was expecting wood based on the price but it does look good from the floor looking up.

I really like the way this fan looks - clean lines, and a simple design. The ceiling was not wired, and so I had the electrician install the fan since he was running the wiring. He said it was easy and there were no installation issues. The ceiling has about a 15 degree slope, and it worked fine with the included downrod. The first thing I noticed (or didn't) was the noise - this is a very quiet fan. I can not hear anything unless it is absolutely quiet and even then it is barely noticeable, and only on High. It is well balanced and does not wobble at all. I can easily sleep with this on. It moves a lot of air on High, and seems a good fit for a larger room. At the lowest speed, there's enough air to cool but it is not 'breezy' and it would be comfortable over a bed. The built-in light is bright, about the same as a 75 - 100 watt bulb. Color temperature is about 3000K, a "warm" white, very good for indoors. The bulb cover / diffuser is fairly large, so there's not much glare. There are a couple things that I didn't like that much. One is the fact that to reverse the fan, you have to flip a tiny switch that's located on top of the motor housing. The other is the remote. It's nice and compact, but not straightforward; it does not have separate function buttons for everything, you have to use special controls to do certain things. For example, there is a nice Safe-Exit feature that leaves the light on for about 30 seconds to let you exit the room. To use this feature, you have to hold down the power button for several seconds - not intuitive. Other than the minor control issues, this is a great fan that looks really cool.

OUTSTANDING FAN!!! By all means - instructions say that if you are not familiar with wiring, hire an electrician... I think that this fan is a total DIY project!!! It is so EASY to install it! First of all - we have a slanted ceiling (see pictures). It's quite a sharp angle too. So, we had to order an extension down rod (24") to install this fan in our master bedroom. Wiring. If you are DIY - the instructions are SUPER well-written. Very clear where each of the wires gets connected. Plenty of space behind the cover to hold all the wires once you are ready to place the cover. It took us total 1 hour to drill a hole in our ceiling, feed wires through the ceiling space and connect to main line (make sure your breakers are off not to electrocute yourself). Connecting parts of this The fan itself does not wiggle in its position even at FULL speed! Light setting to dimmer is super easy as well. While in dimmer mode, it still works on/off by quickly pressing buttons instead of holding to dim. The color of the light is pleasant white/yellow (about 5k color?). The noise is non-existent. At highest speed, one cannot even hear motor or blades rotating. Very impressive! Very well thought-through product. Great quality fan! Super HAPPY with it!

Fan was easy to install. I like the design and look of the fan as well. Motor runs quiet and the light is nice and bright. Fan puts out really good air hung on my back porch.. I only wish it had a reverse switch on the remote. You need a ladder to change the direction of the fan the switch is hidden on top. Also the light kit on this fan is integrated and cannot be replaced with a bulb from just anywhere. Great fan for the money.

The fan is great and easy to install

The Casablanca Piston fan is not a complicated install. Clear directions. Install in about an hour w 2 people (high ceiling). Love the sleek, modern design. Super quiet. Remote works perfectly. Completely satisfied.

Fan looks nice... but the remote does not work so we can't use it.Currently trying to get Casablanca's warranty department involved, but they have thus far been highly unresponsive. Extremely disappointed, and will likely not purchase Casablanca products again unless they can remedy the issue.

I really like this fan - when it works! The fan is very attractive. The light is bright. The varying speeds on the fan are great also. I ignored the warnings of other reviewers because I liked the features and look of the fan so much. The problem is the remote does not work much of the time. I have replaced the batteries, called customer service and followed their directions on syncing the remote with the light. I bought a little widget so that it was impossible to turn my light switch to off because turning the light switch to off will get the remote out of sync according to customer service. The remote still gets out of sync. Sometimes I click the remote a hundred times (no exaggeration) before the light goes off. Very annoying. If the remote worked it would be a five star fan.

A nice fan but the installation is a little rough. Fan shakes mildly and has some features that are not installation friendly. The light is very nice and the airflow is not overwhelming and in fact its perfect speed for a room.

Purchased two of these fans to replace older ones and could not be more pleased. Very well made and sleak looking. The airflow is fantastic!

This is a beautiful fan and fits our decor perfectly. We have purchased three other Casablanca fans previously and were always happy with their quiet operation and powerful motors. The only issue with this new fan was the fact that it had to be balanced after installation. That was a first from my experience with Casablanca fans. We never experienced any wobbling/shaking with our previous fans.

I ordered two of these Ceiling Fans for our pool terrace and they look gorgeous. There were easy to install and work great.

Great fan. Very good combination of somewhat modern look with great functionality. Just so you know, the down rod that comes with the unit is not as long as the picture. Longer can be ordered separately The fan unit itself is longer which increases the fan blade distance from the ceiling..

So far, we are very happy with this fan. It has a stylish modern look with its three-wood blade design and brushed slate motor housing. The directions for installing were straight forward and installation was easy. The remote control works great for controlling fan speed and turning on and off the dimmable LED light. On high speed, it can move a lot of air and on any speed the motor is very quiet. Since we installed this fan indoors, I can’t comment on an outdoor installation but it does look and feel well built.

The fan was a bit of a bear to install, but worth the time and effort. We have a low ceiling and it is over our bed so problems with the height. It is beautiful and is whisper quiet. I now no longer need the additional standing fan I had to use to keep the room cool when we had our old fan.

This fan is very unique in its design. The motor is made of sturdy materials, but lightweight at the same time. The assembly and installation of the fan were made very easy with the step by step directions provided with the unit. The blades are well constructed and not flimsy. The remote makes adjusting the speed for the chair and turning on and off the light a nice plus for the fan. All in all a fantastic deal for the price

As part of a total kitchen renovation, this ceiling fan replaces one that has been continuously running for almost 30 years (except for power outages); it looks great (matches the big color changes and somewhat reminds me of a radial engine on an old propellor driven aircraft ), operates quietly (can hear the blades whirring at highest speed only), and performs well (balanced w/o slightest wobble out of box and moves a good deal of air even on lower speeds). The remote controls the fan's four (4) speeds and the dimmable integrated LED light which has has a safe exit mode for dimming the light to off over 30 seconds. It also has a strong warranty - lifetime on the motor except for electronics and 1-year on component parts, control, blades, and finish. My only minor complaint is that with a fairly small mounting bracket, the number of wires and placing the receiver on top made for a fairly crowded space in getting everything attached and back into the electrical work box. I would recommend this product.

I had the fan installed about three weeks ago so no problem with installation. However, I have three problems with the fan: 1) I can no longer use my wall switch. The fan can only be operated at it's full potential through the remote control. You have to reset the remote control every time you turn the wall switch off. 2) The remote control can be tricky to operate. You have to use multiple button combinations to set the different modes. Not straight forward. 3) The screws which attach the cover to the ceiling are a different color (silver) than the housing (slate gray). This is very distracting for such and expensive fan.
