I have a Trane AC unit which has a variable speed blower motor. It had a 10 yr warranty but on the 11th year it broke down. I got 2 estimates to repair it. One was for $2200 the other was for $1850. First guy wanted me to replace the motor/module and the circuit board. Both of them wanted me to invest that money in a new unit and spend $5k-$8k on a new unit and saying that's how long they usually last, blah, blah, blah. The second guy said only the motor/module. I shopped around and the motor/module cost $750ish. One of the shops I talked to said what most people do now is replace the variable speed motor with a direct 3 speed motor w/ a relay. It is called an ECM to PSC conversion. And you have to add a relay $9, and a capacitor $5. You can select which speed to run it on. I had it on hi first but it was too cold, so I have it on medium now and I don't see any difference from my variable speed motor. I had to pay an ac tech $100 to do it and about $125 in parts, and I saved thousands. Plus I know what to do when the downstairs ac blower motor fails, and will save thousands there. The variable motor lasts about 10 yrs. Direct 3 speed like this lasts atleast 15 yrs. Regal Beloit is the company that owns Century motors, AO Smith, and Genteq - which is what was in my Trane originally. Regal is the largest motor maker, I believe all AC units have a Regal Motor in it. When my condenser motor breaks outside there is a replacement motor for that too for $100. Direct replacement, fit fine and works great. Had to order it and it took just a bit longer than expected but was not bad. Called a bunch of AC/furnace repair shops but they didn't want to sell just the motor

It was a perfect fit for the replacement I needed for a blower fan, It only has 3 speeds but works great for the air filtration unit I made for my garage

I was afraid that my old heating unit would require replacing because I could not find a motor like the one that died but this Century Blower Motor was the perfect replacement. So far so good!!! I'm happy... and WARM!!! Oh... and replaced it myself. (SCORE!!!) GIRL POWER !!!!

Century 1/2 HP Blower Motor fits the most of the Bryant Model Furnace drawback is doesn't come with bracket, so make sure to get the appropriate bracket.. runs very smooth and easy to install if you know what you are doing.

Very quiet easy install

Ordered online 2 am 8/16/18 Thursday morning, delivery time was estimated 08/21/18, received UPS 08/17/18 @12 pm Friday afternoon!!! 5 STAR AWESOME (FREE) DELIVERY TIME !!! Replaced an old discontinued GE model 5KCP39MGF338S with same spec except old model was an 11 amp and this model is rated 6.5 with max 9 amp, not sure if that will make a big difference. Lead wires are only 6 - White, Black, Blue, Red and 2 Brown for capacitor. GE model had 7 - White, Black, Yellow, Blue, Red, 2 Brown for capacitor. Also ordered the recommended capacitor - Packard 370-Volt 10 MFD Motor Run Oval Capacitor. AC repair guy quoted $400-500 to replace motor & capacitor. With a lot of patience and online videos you can do it too. Total cost for this motor & capacitor $101.83 + tax First day running great !! Will update if any issues.

The motor was easy to install and has been running the furnace blower for about 3 weeks now with no problems. I'm glad Home Depot had it because this size motor with these specs is difficult to locate.

The product was great but I live less than 2 miles from online warehouse and it took 5 days to receive it. Then the invoice from the store had a different amount than the on line invoice

motor performed beyond my expectations

Motor works every time. perfect fitment and exact specs for what i was replacing. HVAC repair wanted more than this motor. DIY and saved money. Only downside makes 3 second humming noise on start up. maybe just needs to break in.

This "maintenance free" HVAC motor works quietly this far so I'll give it a 5/5 star rating. We'll see how it holds up after a year or so.
