Great purchase. Bought it to create a small room in an apartment and I absolutely love it. Used the ceiling mount option and its fairly easy to install. The color I picked matches the wall allowing me to keep the aesthetic. I recommended

Nice and simple
The shades were easy to install and operate. I thought the shades turned when opened but they just slide left and right and the shades stay flat. So, when they are open you will have one shade still covering the window. I like that the you can slide the shade in any direction. You can have open on each side and have just the centered covered or just cover the left or right side of the window as one desires. The shades themselves are like a woven thread but made with nylon like material, make the shades easy to cut but also if it gets a small tear could cause the tear to progress easily and rip the shades along the line of the tear. The bottom of the shades has a metal clamp that you must install after you cut the length to size. This “weighs” the shades down keeping them straight and keep the ends from flailing apart after the cut. Installation was simple, I chose to install via the ceiling giving me a full-length wall/window covering and it looks better than the brackets sticking out of the wall to hang the shades via that option. Note: I used a 7/32” Drill bit for the anchor holes (was not in the instructions). I originally was going to install this over our front windows but the length of our set if windows are too long (94”), So we installed as a closet “door.” It works nicely as long as you don’t mind about 20” or so that will always be covered when opened but than again we can easily move the shades or pick/”roll” them up to move out of the way. The Velcro makes hanging up the shades a breeze. Only con is the woven material. As you can see in one of the pics, the material can be easily damaged or arrive damaged even though my past experience with this type of woven material is satisfactory and I rarely have any issues.

Updated Look For Any Room
A double window in the parlor with curtains and Venetian blinds that were hardly ever opened fully is being modernized thanks to Chicology Sliding Panel Track Blinds. The manufacturer offers these in a combination of 24 Color/Finish Choices. The four-track mounting hardware comes with top & bottom connections. The mounting brackets are adaptable for either ceiling or wall mount. The 8 foot long slats are designed to be cut to the length needed. The 86 inch long track is adjustable down to 52 inches without tools. Two wands are included making it easy to adjust the tracks from either side.

Decent cut-to-length light-filtering vertical blinds
I requested these vertical blinds through the Home Depot Seeds Reviewer program to filter out some of the lifht coming through our south-facing porch windows. When I received them, my wife made a valid point that we had previously had an issue with a fabric play tent crumbling to dust after being exposed to the sun after only two years. So we changed plans and decided to replace bulkier curtains separating our livingroom and dining room with this slimmer alternative. Removal of the old curtains and rod was fairly quick, as was installation of the new vertical blinds. What doesnt work for us is the bottom bracket to fasten the fabric panels at the bottom. Not only would this require drilling into 100-year old floors, but it would present a tripping hazard.

Very Stylish Blinds!
The blinds are packaged nicely in a compact box. The instructions are very easy reading and easy to follow. The blinds are made of a very durable fabric. The blinds have somewhat of contemporary look and are extremely fashionable! I think the styling of the blinds would work with any decorative styles. I would strongly recommend to anyone looking to upgrade their window blinds!

Nice!
I am really excited about installing this Chicology Woven Cut-to-Size Truffle Light Filtering Adjustable Sliding Panel Track Blind. The hardware and mechanisms are sturdier than on other blinds iltgat I have purchased in the past. Functionally, I like that this is roll down. In the past having to push curtains back and forth and having to deal with them clumping to one side was annoying. I like the simplicity of these drop down blinds.

Nice panels
The Chicology cut-to-size length panels is a nice addition to my sliding glass doors. I can get the length just right to reach the floor. The light filtering is also as important to the privacy it gives at night. Sliding panel overlapping on a BBC track blind with 23 in slats slides well. The ballroom grey adds a modern touch to my decor. The fabric feels like good quality and will hopefully last indoors and from sun exposure.

Straightforward installation, Attractive
I replaced an old "strip style" blind over a slider door that was coming apart. The Chicology design was simple and ingenious, and comes in a small package given that it fits a six foot opening. Good installation instructions and all the materials supplied including mounting screws and wall anchors (I didnt use wall anchors as I screwed into a header). There are 4 23" fabric panels that cover the window opening and retract to either side with the 23" panels stacked up behind one another. Installation steps: Mount brackets to wall, attach track to brackets, cut panels to length, attach bottom strips to panel, mount panels to track (velcro attachment). It took me about 45 minutes start to finish. I like the appearance and simplicity. Made in Taiwan

Nice!
I got this Truffle blind to replace some old semi-functional bifold closet doors. Installing the track went smoothly since I had top door trim to rest the brackets on and wood behind the drywall to screw into instead of using the included drywall anchors. I just screwed in one end, adjusted for level, screwed in the other end, and then adjusted to sliding section to center it and screwed in the remaining 3 brackets. I found a number of similarly named videos online for Chicology sliding blinds, but only one matched the instructions for this package. The tops of the panels with Velcro were not cut perpendicular to the sides - one panel was almost off 1/4". This means that when hanging, one side of the bottom bar was lower. I was able to adjust for this difference by putting on the bottom bar at an angle. By the time my wife and I finished cutting, attaching the bottom bars, and hanging the fabric panels we'd spent the better part of an afternoon, not the 30 minutes advertised. The material is described as " natural woven fabric", but I would have liked more information about what it was and how to care for it. No valance was included with this product.

I really like these panels, the wife....not so much
We have some sheer curtains that cover the back door that goes out onto our deck. They have seen better days and honestly, they were never high on my list of things to replace. When I saw this setup, i thought it would be a great replacement for them. Once I received them, I opened the box and looked at the instructions and saw that installation should be fairly simple. As I'm about to install them, my wife looks at the color of the panels and based on the look she gave me, I knew the color wasnt going to work for her. I looked online to see if I could order some different panels but have not been successful at finding anything, so these are still sitting in the box for now. I really do like these and I think they work well for a lot of different applications, but I do wish they offered different color panels on their website or through Home Depot. I'll keep looking for some panels or look for a different location to install these.

Great Idea! Out-of-Square Fabric Will Be Replaced
These are a great idea! Sliding fabric panels are so much nicer than vertical blinds. I ceiling-mounted the adjustable-length track, making it as large as possible so when opened it displays the entire window. The track went up easily with the included hardware. I unfurled the curtain panels, a handsome dark grey loose weave fabric with velcro sewn across the top that mounts easily on the sliding tracks. The panels, however, were not cut square. The panels were cut as a parallelogram, just ⅝” out of square, but that was enough to throw them off since they do not hang straight down. I will reach out and hopefully get some square panels that will hang well. If the panels were square these would be at the top for me!

Not a good idea
I wanted to take off my bathroom door and use this shade. Well not such a good idea and I really couldn't figure it out to hang. So I'm going to hang them in the front window when I find someone. I really thought it would be cute and diffrent as a door to my bathroom, don't laugh. I wasn't thinking about privacy and all that comes with that. I thought diffrent cute okay.

Great blinds.
This Chicology track blinds are easy to use and work great for filtering out light or completely blocking out the window. the instructions are easy to follow and took about 30 minutes to install. The material of the blinds is a woven fabric that attaches with hook and loop and holds tight. They are cut to length so should fit any window length. there are four panels so you can adjust the right amount of light getting threw. They slide easily and will last for years.

Sliding panel
The chicology sliding adjustable panel can be used as a shade or a room divider. I got this to use as a shade in my kitchen for my sliding glass door that gets a bunch of sunlight and artificial light at night. It did filter out a lot of light but not as much as I was looking for with this project. It seems like a fine product very well built and sturdy.

will be installed in place of my closet sliding doors
I love this sliding panel set up. I will be installing this in place of the sliding doors of my home office closet. I initially removed the mirrored closet doors because, well, they were mirrored. I have not replaced them during the 3 years since. Having found this solution, I am very excited to install just as soon as I find time to paint the room first. With winter coming, the outdoor projects will be on hold and I can get to this one. My initial inspection of the product is positive. It appears to be well made. The track slides smoothly, with the first track engaging the second, the second engaging the third, etc as the panel are slid open or closed. The material of the panels themselves is tightly woven and appear to be durable.

Love these shades
This woven Chicology truffle sliding shade is Great for letting as much light into a room as wanted. It is totally adjustable to your taste. The directions are easy to follow and took me about 30 minutes to install. It has 5 support brackets to install and you can adjust the width as well as the Hight. The length can be cut to fit with weighted bars at the bottom to keep it straight. the woven panels are attached at the top with Velcro like strips. This is a great alternative to blinds.

Useful sliding panel door or room divider or window cover
This is an easy to install and very nice looking door or room divider or window cover. The fabric is a very rough woven heavy type fabric meant for long life and nice looks. The fabric attaches to the tracks via each of the 4 panels having velcro on the top which mates to the track its installed on. The 4 tracks glide easily and the unit itself can be installed on a ceiling or wall. If you are installing over a window or door area, keep in mind you will need 23" of space on one side of the opening to use for the storage of the panels while opened. This is labeled as a light filtering blind which really means a fair amount of light will get around each panel as there is lots of space between panels. The 4 track unit is almost 3" deep to hold each track, so there is almost 3/4 inch between each panel - as you can see not much room darkening here. But for privacy it would work nicely. If you have a open entryway into a room which sometimes you would like closed this could do the job nicely, or course if it fits your styles and likes. so easy to install, very trouble free operation, stylish, and durable. I certainly can highly recommend this as an effective door wannabe.

Nice blinds
These blinds are nice, since you can mount them either on the ceiling or onto the wall. The track is adjustable, so you can use it in many different sizes of windows. I mounted my track onto my wall and the package comes with all the hardware you need. The track is easily mounted and the blinds attach to the track using Velcro. The blinds can be cut to your desired length. These blinds seem to be a bit cheeply made is why I gave them a lower rating.

Nice blinds
These track blinds can be mounted onto your ceiling, onto your wall, or if your windows are recessed, they can be mounted into the recess. I mounted mine onto the ceiling. Mounting was easy, you place the track onto your ceiling and mark the edge away from the wall. You use this line to drill your holes for your latches, following the directions. Once latches are mounted, you just place the track onto the latches and turn them to lock the track into place. Now you place the blinds into place with the Velcro and figure how long you want them, you cut each blind to length and install the bottom edge to finish each blind. Install the pull rods and you are ready to use the new blinds. These woven blinds seem to be a bit cheeply made is why I gave them a lower rating.

Good light filtering, easy installation
I recently got this to cover my rear patio sliding door because i get a lot of sun most of the day in that area. These sliding shade panels have a contemporary style with a durable design. They have multiple fabric hues that allow you to choose a color that matches your interior. I got this in a darker gray and a weave pattern, the picture with them installed is a second color i got so that i could have a more translucent set for the winter. They adhere to the track with velcro to make changing or replacing easy and quick. This is a versatile product perfect for sliding doors, Its adjustable track and panels provide the necessary length for most large patio and balcony doors to gently filter sun rays while providing semi-privacy. Having a rail per panel and two wands facilitate access and movement for desired privacy. If you have large windows you can avoid traditional vertical blinds to create a light and airy atmosphere while optimizing your views outside with their light filtering fabrics and semi-sheer opacity. This product can be mounted against the wall or ceiling. A minimum depth of 3/4 in. is needed for a ceiling mount. You will need a bracket space of 2-1/4 in. for outside wall mount. I would definitely recommend this if you're looking for a more modern design to cover your big window or door.

Excellent light filtering blinds for our dining room slider
We recently purchased all new blinds for our windows but wanted a more modern option for our sliding glass door. The Chicology Ballroom Cut-to-Size Grey Light Filtering Adjustable Sliding Panel Track Blind was an almost perfect match to the blinds we selected and is way more aesthetically pleasing than the traditional options offered for sliding glass doors. Everything was packaged well and everything arrived with no missing parts. Instructions were super simple and easy to follow given the great visuals included along with the written instructions. The blind we selected was great at providing privacy in the later afternoon into the evening but still allowed light to filter through during daylight hours. Installation took less than an hour. Panels come full length floor to ceiling with option to trim to your preferred size. End result is a super sleek elegant look. The Ballroom Grey color we selected partnered well with our new blinds and looks great against our black walls.

Believe it when reviewers say that the panels fray easily!
The overall quality was better than I expected. Seemed nice enough to me. Albeit the color was much darker than it looked online. I planned to use it to screen a toilet alcove with no door from the rest of a large master bathroom. But, when I went to hold some panels up in place to check fit and look before installing, I quickly discovered that the reviews that said the panels frayed and were not durable were spot on. Just gently folding the panels over my arm to carry them to the room resulted in one fraying immediately. (see picture). That after having gathered tools and moved furniture in preparation for an install. The edges will fray at the slightest friction. The way rayon material does on an unfinished edge. I could see them coming apart within a week of gentle use. Needless to say, these will not be installed anywhere in my house. Which is sad. Because initially, I thought I’d be recommending these for use as long as one took the 24” or so necessary stack area into account.

Great for Extra Large Windows or Patio Doors
We're redoing our living room and have a huge sliding window to cover with blinds. Not wanting outdated drapes, and I think that mini blinds would look really out of place on a window space that big, I picked these long and wide panels in a nice neutral brown tone. All hardware in included and the panels look like a thin rattan, very cool. They would fit in well with an older or a newer design. In a midcentury modern they are outstanding in looks. The railing/guide is gloss white, which is glaringly different than the brown panels and I'll be repainting it in a similar color ASAP. Other than that this is a nice big kit and Chicology items always install easily. Recommended (but I think the rails/runners/guides should be offered in matching colors).

Inexpensive way to cover a slider
I have two large (99”) sliders that I was looking for blinds to help cut down on the heat loss during the winter that didn’t cost a fortune. I decided to try the chicology sliding panels to see how they would work even though they are only 84”. The shades were shipped fast. You can install the shades either from the ceiling or wall. It took about 30 minutes to install the brackets and mount the shades. The shades are easy to open and close, however they get stuck on the second bracket and you can only get them to open by tweaking them at the bracket which you can only do when standing on a chair. I don’t know if the bracket is slightly out of square but it is really frustrating. The second issue is if you open them from the right and then close them on the right, only one shade it pulled. You have to use the other shade pull to move them. Overall, I love the color and they look good, but knocked off a star because of the issues encountered. Note: in the question and answers people ask if these shades can used for larger windows and the answer is 'put two tracks together’. This is not a good solution and I would NOT recommend it because I had planned on doing it for my door and after seeing how they are installed.

Very good looking
I am really pleased with this shade. It was very easy to mount and put together. The instructions were good and easy to follow. The shade bracket is strong and holds the shade well. I really like the shade as it is a very nice material, and you can see out pretty good however seeing in is not as easy. Very nice color that matches most rooms. It also has bars on the bottom that you attach to keep it hanging and in place.

Simple and functional
The included instructions are clear and consice resulting in a quick, straight forward and simple installation. The entire rail is one peice which makes instalation a breeze. The entire rail mounts with four mounting brackets which can be mounted as a ceiling or wall mount. We went with the wall mount as our ceilings are slanted. No issues with setting up the rail using the included drywall anchors and screws. Mounting the curtain panels is as easy as it gets, all you have to do is line up the velcro and you're good to go! I can't stress this enough. Pay close attention to which end you are cutting! You must cut the non velcro end! Once you have completed your cuts, there is a metal bracket that pressure mounts on the bottom of the panels to prevent any further fraying as well as give the curtain some weight to keep it taut. The curtain provides the perfect amount of light filtering, blocks almost all light but I wouldn't consider it a black out curtain. After installing the curtains I do wish that they were 6 panels with narrower panels because when the panels are pulled back, stacked and stored, the panels cover an area 23 inches wide, which is half of one of our glass doors resulting in quite a bit of light still being blocked. It's personal preference but it's something to consider.

Remind me of Japanese screens
I hate the plastic vertical blinds so I've always wanted to find an alternative. The Chicology Woven Cut-to-Size Gray Light Filtering Adjustable Sliding Panel Track Blind w/ 23 in Slats Up to 86 in. W X 96 in. L, Woven Gray definitely fit into the alternative blinds category. The track system is pre-assembled and is telescoping to adjust to fit your unique opening. I wanted to set the track inside the opening rather than mount it to the wall. This however caused the panels to permanently block 23 inches of the sliding glass door preventing natural light to enter and blocking a significant amount of the view. If I tried to mount it to the wall I could have reduced this blockage but would needed to have removed the decorative curtains at the ends to accommodate. Installation was super simple. I had the track up in five minutes and the panels measured and cut within ten minutes. Be sure that everything is level and straight when setting the track to prevent it from getting snagged when opening or closing the panels. The woven material reminds me of wicker outdoor furniture.

Good Wide Verticals
I was so sick of the thin verticals from the 70's(?). The new Chicology wide width panels of twenty three inches each, needing only four of them for a sliding glass door, are a much nicer look. They hang from a track that is installed where the other track was, after filling and painting the previous track holes. There is a strip of velcro that attaches very easily to the matching velcro piece on each sliding track. The four panels will cover up to eighty six inches across the door. The length comes as ninety six inches long and can be easily cut to the length required. It can even be cut to a window length for very wide windows. The bottom is then fit with a weighted metal strip to finish the cut edge. This is a light filtering blind, good for public rooms, and in room darkening, good for bedrooms. It is a grey color woven fabric , and is available in twenty nine additional colors.

Interesting new take on Sliding Glass Door Vertical Blinds
I was looking for a decoration change for my older vertical blinds. This fit the bill. They look very similar to the ordering picture in terms of color. The material comes in a roll, and is woven, not too thick and easy to cut to the desired length. It also comes with it's own rods which have to be installed. Essentially this uses a pressure lock system to hold the panels in place, and opens/closes with a wand. These panels are not weighted at the bottom, which I think would be useful. If you are looking for a change from traditional Vertical Blinds, give these a try.
