This is a very simple, nice looking table. Not fancy, but a good looking table that is very sturdy.The best part is that it was very simple to put together. When I looked at the box, I figured there would be a ton of screws and take a while to put together. Not so. I put this together in 35 minutes and like I said really looks nice. My wife wants to use this as a craft table. This table is a home run!

My daughter wanted a small table for those times she does homework in a guest room. The table is the perfect height and real estate space, and we couldn't have gotten a better fit had we tried. Most of the furniture we looked at was bulky and thick and didn't match the room. There are times for wood and there are times for steel. My only complaint is one of the plastic feet at the bottom was broken. It was obviously a cheap build. I glued it back together but don't expect it to hold up long. It's well built, easy to assemble, but I wish the designers had used better materials on the plastic footers. Overall, a good desk.

I got this for my teen who needed a bigger desk to fit books, laptop, etc while doing homework. This one definitely does the trick. He didn’t need any drawers or shelves to take up space, just the larger work area. It’s incredibly beautiful and sturdy as well. The top is a laminate material with a wood grain like finish which seems to be very durable. The base consists of thick metal and not easily bendable. This desk will last for years to come.

My daughter was needing a new desk. Her old one was large and had a broken shelf. She wanted a small writing desk to do her schoolwork on. I found this little Closetmaid desk and it is perfect. The box was slightly damaged when I received it which accounted for the small nick in the veneer on top of the desk. It was in the corner so I was able to super glue down the part that had come up. No big deal. I will say here that the veneer is more like a glue down topping than solid wood. Having said that, at this price point, you don't expect solid wood. For the price, you can't beat this Closetmaid desk. Assembly was pretty simple. The included instructions were vague and pictures only but if you pay attention to where your holes for the screws go, it goes quick. Assembly took 15 minutes. Once put together, this desk looks great. It is sturdy and well built. Fits perfectly in my daughter's room. It is 43 inches wide, about 18 inches deep and around 30 inches tall. The legs are black and the top is a gray barn wood look. Contemporary and sharp looking. If you are looking for a small writing or laptop desk. Look no further. This one is perfect.

The table arrived quickly and was packaged well when opening. There was about 15min of assembly for 1 person and fewer than 10 pieces to assemble. The instructions were simple and straightforward and the only tool needed was a Philips head screwdriver. Once assembled the table was sturdy and looked great in our living room. The table top material appears to be particle board with a nice wood like finish. It is a beautiful table and we love the color. The only issue we noticed was that one of the plastic finishing pieces on the side was delaminating, but it was an easy fix with a little bit of glue. Overall, very nice sturdy table that makes an excellent compliment to an office or living room. We have used this table pushed up against our dining room table as an extension for holding buffet style serving of meals.

The ClosetMaid writing desk was the perfect size to fit next to a bump out wall in the game room. It was easy to assemble and quite sturdy for modular furniture. I was a little confused because the description mentions a decorative shelf but the desk is pictured correctly on the web site. I saw where there are other pieces of furniture that match the style and color of the writing desk so after I do some measuring there may be additional pieces on my wish list.

Let’s clarify a couple of discrepancies: The product name includes “with decorative shelf” - Unless they mean the desk itself, there’s no shelf of any kind. And the claim of “tool-free assembly” is not true. Assembly is quite easy, but you do need a Phillips screwdriver (and a drill if you want to anchor it to the wall). If these are show-stoppers for you, then you can stop reading right now. . But if you’re looking for a nice, easy-to-assemble “industrial chic” desk, this is a good choice, and the price is hard to beat. The instructions are clear and it takes about 10-15 minutes to assemble if you’re taking your time. It’s big enough to serve as a writing desk or for a laptop. It could also display decoratives. It’s light enough that anyone can move it. It could be used for computers or home entertainment, but it will look messy since there’s no enclosed storage. . Recommended. . ClosetMaid 43.3 in. This ClosetMaid Grey Desk is a great simple piece of furniture for anyone doing light work. If you do plan on hand writing or drawing on this desk, I would recommend that you invest in a mat to do so on, as the desk material is textured and not conducive to the tip of a pen or pencil. The decorative back "x" provides some support to the frame and the building of this unit could not be any easier!

The other day when we were out shopping, we came across this Mixed Material Storage Furniture 43.3 in W x 17.7 in. D Natural Desk. It looked to be a great addition to one of our bedrooms at the base of the bed for some storage and a plant shelf. We’ll probably at some nick knacks or pictures later. It will work to put in your entry way, in your office or behind a sofa as an extra shelf. It’s simple yet attractive to fit about any space you choose to place it in.

ClosetMaid gray mixed material storage furniture desk has many uses. I have started with using it as a sofa table, but already thinking about some other ideas that might be better suited for my house. I wish I still had my aquarium, it would have looked nice on the shelf with supplies stored in baskets below the shelf. It could also be used for germinating my seeds at a nice height and a hanging light above it. It has a sturdy frame, but if you have small children, for safety it comes with two brackets, two anchors, and two extra screws to attach it to a wall stud so it will not be pulled over. The enclosed directions for assembly were easy to follow and only took a short time to finish.

This desk will make a nice desk for a student, a nice table to just decorate with pictures, or in my case, a TV stand. The stand we have now will hold the 43” TV that we currently have but we want a larger one. Most all TV’s come with legs on each end now, instead of a nice central base. This will hold the 55” that we are looking at. I also plan to add cube storage underneath so that small space will now take care of several storage issues. While this desk isn’t top of the line or anything, it is still a sturdy desk for the money. Assembly was easy with all included parts, instructions that were good, and even a small wrench for the acorn nuts. All you need is the box or carpet to assemble it on and a Phillips screwdriver. I gave it a 3 star because of the finish on the top of mine. It was not finished well in the factory but I don’t think it will be noticeable after I place the TV on it.

This solid and well made table was very easy to assemble as all the parts fit very well and easily matched up in the process of putting it together. Once it was done it was was very stable and there was no detectable bending or wobble associated with the unit. Also if needed there were attaching brackets to firmly attach the table if needed to the wall to help carry oversized loads. Color appeared neutral so that it would be very usable in most any location.

Loved how easy it was to put together - a big plus for me. It was packaged well and didn’t have a lot of parts to it. The instructions were one page only! The color of the table top is light grey and is 17 inches deep. It’s great for a large closet or craft room, dining area or office space. A Very modern and minimalist look. One small issue is that there is a white spot where the finish rubbed off (see photo) so I wonder how durable the finish will be overtime but I still like it!

Got this Closet Maid writing desk for my wife as a bond agent and her new office in 3 weeks or so, was very easy to put together and all holes lined up perfect. The white frame is sturdy and the smoky taupe color is really nice so will be painting wife office around this color. Instructions were very simple and only took 15 mins to put together, all hardware was included and like how end of screws were also white to blend into frame. It’s a perfect size to use as a writing desk or as a nice table to hold your pictures and other decor, overall a very nice sturdy desk or entry way table. I would absolutely recommend this Closet Maid writing desk to anyone, can be used for other desired options.

Super easy assembly for a great quality desk. Assembly was a breeze. After it was put together we immediately put it in my husbands office for his art desk-- it's very lightweight and is easy to move. But, it's weight doesn't compromise it's sturdiness, it doesn't wiggle at all. It's great to have such a simple design (considering he has such a busy desktop). The materials of the top of the desk seem durable and have withstood much so far. The desk has a smaller depth, which we love because it's in a small room. This is a great desk that is versatile in function and it looks amazing. The colors are neutral and I love the metal legs. I would absolutely recommend this!

The CLOSETMAID Desk is well made, sturdy and just what I needed in my shop. It's very easy to put together by one person and comes with all parts packaged and an easy to follow instruction sheet. I like the light natural wood finish and the cross brace in the back really stabilizes it and makes it sturdy. It's lightweight and easy to move and comes with a bracket to attach it to the backwall, if needed. I'd definitely recommend it for a nice desk in home or office. It compact at 43.3 inches x 17.7 inches deep.

This desk is fairly quick to build, so it took me less than 20 minutes to put it together. It has a smooth texture. The desk is simply appealing and provides enough space for a laptop, some books, and a few decors. For this reason, I would recommend this desk to be utilized for basic tasks or small office. Furthermore, the sleek and contemporary feel of this desk adds elegance to the room, and provides enough space for day to day use!

This is a sturdy, easy to assemble, versatile desk/table/shelf. It comes well packaged with easy to read/follow instructions. It took me about 20 minutes to assemble by myself but it could easily have been done in half that time with some help. The only tool you need to provide is a Phillips screw driver. The materials are solid yet the desk overall is light weight and easy to move around. There is some optional hardware to anchor the desk to the wall if necessary. We plan to use ours as a sewing machine table. We are very happy with the look of the gray table top with its distressed wood look.

This is a very nice and high quality piece of furniture. This is one piece of a set that has several other pieces. (Ladder shelf, end shelf, coffee table, etc.) The furniture is very durable and has a solid feel. The item is packaged very carefully to avoid any scratches or additional wear and tear while transporting! Assembling the furniture is extremely easy with the included hardware and tools for assembly. (No additional tools are required) This is a great looking piece for the money!!

This was an easy desk to put together. It took me about 30 minutes including unpacking the box. It came with brackets to attach it to the wall which I didn’t use. If you had kids and put something heavy on this it might be worth using them. This is a very sturdy desk. The top surface isn’t smooth – it is like you can feel the grain which is a little strange. It is not a big deal. I like the size of the desk, I can put my laptop, a 2nd monitor and a stack of paper on it. I do wish there was a small drawer so I could store some pens and miscellaneous things. If I had a small cabinet, I could possibly fit it under the desk which would help. There’s a lot of leg room under it. Part of the veneer is damaged which I don’t think happened during shipping because the packaging wasn’t damaged. One of my photos shows it. The dimensions of the desk are: 17 ¾” deep x 29 ¾” high x 43 ¼” long.

Perfect for my purposes. I wanted a piece of lightweight contemporary/modern themed furniture that could serve two purposes. My guesthouse needed a "behind the couch" table and it needed to offer the option of a desk area. There are still long term guests who want to set up a computer space on a desk. I have a corner where a desk would work and i have a space under the television where a table would be convenient to block traffic from that area. (Allowing me to have a cord running to the end table lamp without it being a tripping hazard) This desk/table does both easily. The driftwood type gray wood look goes with all my wood colors and does its part to help pull off my relaxed cottage minimalism look.

Just get a screwdriver. The table is very lightweight, so don't expect to use it in heavy duty situations. For most household uses, that's fine. It came delivered in a lightweight compact box. Easy to move to my assembly location. Assembly went fast and you only need a phillips screwdriver. The suggestion is to attach it to a wall. That's a good idea, but not required.
