These are great flashlights and a good deal giving you two for a good price. The flashlight is light and very bright on the high setting which is the first default setting. The flashlight has a focusing beam function near the head which can give either a flood light or spotlight beam. This is accessed by turning the head. It is a little stiff. It is a much better system than say the way Maglite does it. The flood beam is wide and bright and has a nice white color. The spotlight beam is also decently wide and has good throw to it. The tail switch button has a nice clicky feel to it.. it's not mushy or hard to press. When you use the flashlight on some beam setting and then turn the flashlight off, if you wait 5 seconds the flashlight goes back to starting with the high beam setting which is nice. Also, I read in another review someone claim you cannot momentary press and quick cycle through the brightness levels. This is not true. You can momentary press which is another big plus. Awesome also that it takes 3 AAA batteries. I put a lanyard on it so I can hang it on the wall. Great flashlight.

Excellent product. Extremely bright flashlight Strong beam. I would say comparable to the streamlight stinger which is a $200 flashlight. Only downfall is it is not rechargeable. But so far batteries are still going strong. For the price you can not beat it. Highly recommend

I have several Coast products due to their quality and warranty. These flashlights are another great value. They are very bright as a spot or in flood light mode. I question the one bad review. I have never had to use the lifetime warranty with a coast product, but it is there for anyone that by chance got a defective unit (never know if it was dropped and banged around by customers or freight crews prior to purchasing it). Anyway, this is my best flashlight now; compact yet bright, durable, and waterproof.

Great weight, nice size. Strong exterior. The illumination can reach a long ways. We bought it for the mountains.

I use these for my helmet lights for firefighting. They get exposed to to heat, water and debris. I had to replace one after 3 years of use in extreme conditions. However the second one of the pair still works and has been exposed to the same conditions. Im satisfied with this purchase.

Buy two, they are very handy. The beam is bright but is not adjustable.

The Coast Polysteel 400 is very bright. The quality in general appears to be very good. The price was great as well.

Very bright flashlight. I don't know what Polysteel is but the body of this light is made of a very tough plastic, there's no machined anodized aluminum here. A good value for the price. Recommended.
