A little tedious to go over every grout line but well worth it

Amazing Transformation!
I can't believe just how easy it was to use and how incredible the transformation was of the grout. The $20 was a low risk, but provided a HUGE improvement. I'm still in-awe. I love our funky vintage tile, but not the ugly brown grout. My original plan was to just tackle the shower pan, but because it was such a success, I plan to not only do the whole bathroom floor, but our other bathroom.

Works
Worked great to clean up an old 1940’s bathroom. First used baking soda and peroxide to clean the grout and then applied. I found letting it dry a little and then wiping with a damp sponge and dry towel worked for me.

Colorant lost on shower floor after 4-6 weeks
Purchasers should be aware (per Custom Building Products tech support) that on structurally intact grout that is regularly exposed to water such as shower floors and lower shower walls, the colorant can be expected to fade and be lost in 4-6 weeks.

We have used this product in the past and were very satisfied with the results.
Very time consuming to apply however well worth the effort!
The photo shows the "Grout Renew" outlined on the bottom left tile.

Absolutely love it!
We built a new home and the color of our grout is awful. It’s not at all what it’s supposed to be. I was told to use this stuff and boy do I love it. It’s tedious. But you just use a damp cloth if you get it on the tile and I used a paintbrush to apply. only do a small section at a time. Unfortunately it’s going to take me forever to do it on all 3400 ft.².

Great Product
Grout did not look clean after scrubbing with various products. Decided to try this and floor looks great. Finally a product that performs like it should. I highly recommend.

It works.
It took a full day to do my bathroom but it's definitely worth it. The end result speaks for itself.
A few things I'd do differently if I did it again: I'd do all the horizontal lines first. This will allow you to wipe away the excess without smearing the vertical lines. Then, I'd allow the horizontals to dry before starting on the vertical lines.

Like night and day
This was a lot of work. I followed the preparation directions exactly and applied with a bunch of foam brushes. I really hated black grout in our bathroom. The room looked dark and dingy. I'm having the tub refinished wanted to replace tile. I used this instead and saved a ton of money. I used Grout Renew in my Florida home with good results but that was white over white. The results here are dramatic! I have a little touch up still to do but it looks amazing. We'll see how it holds up.

Amazing Product
I’m in the process of doing some repairs on my Dad’s home to sell it and both bathrooms tiles needed some love. I tried to scrub the grout but it wouldn’t come clean. I stopped at Home Depot and bought this product in the color Bone. My husband thought I was crazy, but wow what a difference it made. I would highly recommend this product.

Makes grout look new
This product is amazing, I wish I knew about it sooner. This transformed the dingy grout in my kitchen backsplash and it looks new. I had to use two coats since I was using the bright white over a darker grout. I used a small artist paint brush to apply it. It dries pretty quickly so make sure you wipe off any excess as you go.

This product restored my grout to look like new. It is a lot of work. You need to do small sections at a time so you can rug it off the tile before it dries. Grout should be pre cleaned. The back part of the photo is done, front is before.

Made all things new!
I live this stuff..easy peasy just take your time and wear knee pads or get your grandsons to help @$10 an hr like I did (after a little coaching), wipe as you go OR tape your lines and you will be amazed. I regrouted LVT in the kitchen (it looked so much cleaner than the original dark grout) and ceramic tile in the bath (it looked brand new). Apparently the sealant is very good because everything has held up to the high traffic and steam mopping.. you will not be disappointed!

After thoroughly cleaning the tile floors with their heavy duty tile and grout cleaner, this product went on very easily. I am OCD so I took my time in applying it and making sure I cleaned up any excess right away. I am sure I could have done it quicker but I don’t know if it would have come out looking as nice as it did. My floors look brand new. I felt a great sense of accomplishment once done with them all. Time will tell how durable the grout recolorant is but I am more than impressed with how they look at this point.

works perfectly
I have used this on multiple floors. never had any issue with the coating coming off or fading as some people noted. It actually absorbs into the grout! You can still see the texture of the grout through it. If done properly there is no way anyone would even know it's been treated. Honestly a life saver considering all the extra effort it would take to re-grout my floor, which is small hexagonal tiles. With pre cleaning and treatment it took about 3 hours. I was tired of constantly cleaning my white grout so I went with a light grey (rolling fog) color.

Much better
My grout color was fading and starting to look nasty. I considered paying to have them professionally cleaned. Or even laying carpet or new tile. After trying to clean them up myself I thought maybe staining them would be a good idea! I’m so glad I did that. It’s not PERFECT but it is so much better. I recommend this for a newer, cleaner look, before you consider a more expensive option. I used the Charcoal color. Which was the previous color stained on the grout 15 years ago. Before/after below

Looks fabulous
This was the color we finally decided on. The color choice might be the hardest part. But a friend spent a couple of hours, start to finish, painting my discolored white grout, and it looks fantastic! He was fairly neat in his application, and cleaned up mistakes promptly, so I can't speak to a more haphazard application, but this made my white tile floor look brand new! It doesn't seem porous, so cleanup - my biggest problem before - should be much easier.

This stuff is magic!
This is a fantastic way to update floors with very minimal cost. I used Bar Keeper's friend to clean the grout first, let it dry, and then painted with the Bone color in 2 coats. After about 15 minutes, I used a damp rag to wipe up the excess on the tile.

Easy to use and looks great
This worked great for our situation. We had put down black grout, but when it dried, it dried with some spots light gray vs the color being uniform. I used this on the unsealed grout & it soaked in evenly & dried evenly. I then sealed the grout and tile and then used enhancer on the tile. It looks great & am happy.

Awesome quick fix to grout!
I used this on my entire kitchen and fireplace! I bought the platinum and some craft paint brushes as well. Paint on and let it set for 3 min then wipe off with a damp cloth. Use a flat hand to wipe. Works amazingly!

Take the orange cap off an Elmer’s glue bottle it fits right on this bottle. Use it to squirt the grout.

Looks Like Brand New Tile
Originally I had bought the Bone color but it was way too light for my tile. So I exchanged it for Haystack and it was a perfect match. There is a decent amount of prep but that’s what will make the product last for years.

The color is way off
I purchased this in a specific color using the sample on the website to match my tile. I chose the "Rolling Fog" color which was in the brown family. When I went to use the product, the sample on the bottle label was light gray and so was the product.

Great solution if you dislike your current floors
I hardly ever write reviews, but the satisfaction of using this product drove me to write one for this. I'm redoing a small bathroom on a budget, and the tile floor has always been my biggest problem with it. The tiles are good quality, but there was something about them that bothered me that I couldn't put my finger on-- color? Shape? Grout color? All of the above? After investigating many possible solutions including painting the tiles or using vinyl stickers, I decided to give the Grout Renew a try because, as other reviewers have mentioned, the stakes seemed low; it would only set me back $15 and a few hours. The transformation has been unreal! The grout looks clean and fresh, and the tiles are unrecognizable-- it's like the floor has been fully retiled.
Here are a few tips:
-Make sure you clean the tiles and especially the grout lines ahead of time. I used baking soda and vinegar and scrubbed with an old toothbrush, and then I used a dust buster with a brush head to get all the baking soda up once it had dried.
-Other reviewers have mentioned using an Elmer's glue cap on the bottle, which I did, but I would caution that a little of this product goes a long way. What ended up working for me was putting some of the Grout Renew into an old dish and then painting it on with a paintbrush. Applying it directly to the grout got a little messy.
-Use a toothpick to apply to hairline cracks.
-A lot of people seemed to have an issue with the color of the product, so before I bought it I decided on a range of color values I'd be okay ending up with. I wanted something either the same color as the tile or lighter, without pushing into Arctic White territory. I ended up using the Bright White and was very pleased.
