Did not work

Too complicated to install, Returned it.

I set up 2 of them. My boiler room and sump pit. The boiler room sensor warned me of a sewer pipe back up wetting the floor. Set up for wifi took several tries but worked. No hub needed just the app and wifi. I like the AC plug so I don't need to change any batteries. The alarm sounds like an alarm clock beep. Wish it is louder. The cable plugs into a phone jack which is convenient. I used a phone cable and extended 25 feet from outlet and sensor worked. I set it so I receive email notification and alerts notification on my iPhone. It's been 8 months now and everything works.

After setting up the D-Link Wi-Fi Water Sensor several months ago (and testing it with a small amount of water on the floor), the unit failed to report a leaking humidifier this morning. Furthermore, it no longer is visible to the router. When I went to the web site to do the setup again (http://mydlinkhomeapp.dlink.com/) the site isn't responding. I'm returning this junk to Home Depot.
