It caught the hair initially, but then the hair washed over the side and went underneath the drain. Because I have a stone and grouted floor, the drain would not sit perfectly flush with the floor.

This drain strainer works very well for me. My new shower drain is flat and about 4-1/2" across. This strainer catches hair very nicely! I was afraid it would float around but it stays put! The floor of my shower is textured for non-slip. It stays in place with no added adhesive or wires to hold the holes of drain. I'm 100% happy with it. Wipe off hair after shower/shampoo is all, with a tissue.

It has worked well in our standing bathroom.

This drain strainer lets the water go through & also does a good job of catching the hair. It does easily move if you bump it as there is nothing to hold it firmly in place.

It doesn’t catch anything hair went underneath. Don’t waste your money looks nice but it doesn’t work.

The Danco 5 3/4” Shower Drain cover works really well! Used it for a month now. The rubber gasket around the edge works well at guiding water flow over the outside edge and into the strainer and holding the strainer in position. Periodically I find a hair strand caught under the gasket edge but rarely. Never used a strainer with the gasket before. This one is worth it. (We have three long-haired ladies in the house. Absolutely no hesitations or regrets on this purchase. Well done

Good drain covers, I use in shower and kitchen sink. Only fall back is water can't drain all rhe way the cover sits a bit high

Well made. "Rubber" ring that surrounds strainer holds surprisingly well to a tile shower floor. The strainer actually traps hair - I would guess approximately 75% of loss

Shower floor screens, by their nature, must be slightly higher profile than the floor. This prevents some water flow to the drain. This is about as low profile as possible but still fails to collect all the hair.

Very stiff so doesn’t conform to tub shape.

Finally a drain strainer that works and doesn't move around. This is nice and sturdy and should last a long time.

My wife lost a wedding band through grates in the shower. Now it's impossible due to this placed over regular grate. It's also collects long hair, easy to pick up. This is our second purchase of this item.
