was working on stripping the Behr Deck over from my floor boards, originally was using a HF side button angle grinder, the dust cover and Diamabrush didnt fit correctly. when I used it without the dust cover, the HF grinder would heat up too much in my hand (side button) and would trip the breaker. this DeWalt solved all my problems and i was able to get the job done.

Exceptional grinder, I’ve use this model many many times. I have no complaints on this product, however, the selection at not one but two locations of sanding pad attachments is lacking. There’s only one flap disc grade, and only diablo 50 and 80 grit are the finest grade they had. They offer finer grades in orbital or mouse pads but for doing large commercial size projects a mouse isn’t going to cut it. One more reason a customer is apt to buy online as opposed to visiting the local hardware store....shame

It works well, as expected. I prefer a corded tool since I will not use it every week and will not need to hunt down batteries, chargers, etc. If I did use it everyday, I would have bought the battery-powered one. No complaints.

Home Depot as a retailer needs to remind DEWALT that HD is also a store for PROS not just grandmas . The power cord in the grinder is 5ft long / They saved 40Cents on additional 3ft of cord that every professional contractor needs desperately , I think this is last DEWALT tool I purchased in my life.

This angle grinder does not come with the necessary type 1/41 safety guard for safe use as a cut off tool. The manual does not even identify the correct part number for this accessory. After much web searching, I believe that the correct OEM part number is N311439. It ranges in price from $35 to $50, depending on whether you can find a knock-off. Fortunately, I have not even opened there carton, so I can return it. For me, the primary use of an angle grinder is straight cuts in metal, using a thin blade. The tool should come with a type 1 guard, with the cheaper grinding guard as an optional accessory. Many users don't even bother with the grinding/flap wheel guard, but a flying broken cutting wheel is a real risk.

Tool worked as expected - once. The self-tightening feature of the nut that holds the blade in place worked so well that the blade could not be removed. Tried the included blade removal tool until it bent. Tried liquid wrench. Tried PB Blaster. Bought and used the Milwaukee grinder blade removal tool until the pins bent. Tried bending the cutting blade to get more leverage. Basically, only buy this tool if your expectation is to use it once and throw it away.

I like the tool so far. I purchased it and a diamond blade to grind some concrete. Both performed well and made the project a lot easier than I thought it would be.

Cuts tile the best with less chipping than any other Dewalt model or brands.
