I purchased this heater for a 24x26 un-insulated metal building. First, I must say that this unit puts out some good heat... It's 25 degrees F here today and it was able to take it to 70 degrees F fairly quickly. The instruction manual stinks with regards to assembly. There's a rack that comes with it that I really wasn't sure what to do with and couldn't find anything in the manual, so it's in the trash... didn't really care about it anyway, I just wanted a heater, not a clothes dryer.. The fuel gauge and the pump pressure gauges are nice features as well as the ability to adjust the pump pressure for various fuel types. So I tested this unit. I set the thermostat to it's lowest setting which I believe is 65 degrees F. It ran until the temperature in the room was very close to that, then it turned off as expected. The room started to cool down, it got down to 34 degrees after about 10 minutes... I walked over and bumped it with my foot and viola.. it decided to start heating again... So I let the room get back up to 65ish and it again turned off... This time the room got down to 29.4 degrees... I bumped it again but nothing happened... so I unplugged it and headed in for dinner.. I guess the point I'm trying to make here is, if you want a decent heater that will crank out some heat, but don't care about other features, this is a good buy... but if you expect the thermostat to have any value, shop elsewhere... It's a piece of junk... if it won't turn the heat back on after a 40 degree drop in temperature, I'm not sure why it's even in there.

This unit really cranks out the heat. It also runs on multiple fuels. I use it to heat my 30x40 shop. It is a bit noisy but you will get over that right away when it keeps you warm.

Puts out a ton of heat, does burn fuel faster than the smaller models.

This is as shown, the all black version. Not sure if that means it's the new or old version, but it is what I wanted, so I'm satisfied. It also has an outlet on it, which isn't mentioned. It means you don't have 2 extension cords running next to each other. Unexpected plus for me. Good buy!

Performed better than I expected.

This heater really puts out the heat. We were able to work outside with temperatures in the 30's with temps at the work area near 80 degrees by setting the heater about 6-8 feet away.

Easy assembly. It will run on multiple fuels. I did return the item. We are building a house and shop combination. While the machine does blast out the heat, it is extremely loud!!. It also makes the space smell horrible. I had to open all the doors because of the fumes. Fumes are mostly at start up and as it runs out of fuel. We cant have that smell permeate our home. We used the low odor kerosene at $11+ a gallon. Diesel would cost less, but smell more and leave a film. It burns approximately 1 gallon an hour. So, its $100.00 a day this way. Theres more practical long term solutions for us. If you need heat, this will do it. It does come with consequences we couldn't overcome.
