[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I purchase my portable band saw to install a commercial gas job for my local micro brewery "King's Brewing". This job required up to 2" black pipe to be cut and fit for over 100 ft. to complete their gas needs. This job was tough enough by it's nature, but to cut using other types of saws hand or electric powered would of been very time consuming. This portable band saw cut this 2" black pipe like it was butter, never once kicked or bound up in the cutting process. Easy to use overhead and in tight spaces, turns out to truly be the best saw a contractor could of use for a job like this. Lastly was very impressed the number of cuts I was able to make on the 20 Volt 3.0 Ah. Attached are a couple of photos taken during this gas pipe installation.

One of the best tools ever purchased and money well spent. Males all job/task 1000x faster and efficient. Thanks Dewalt and Home Depot for carrying this product.

I do elevator work and this is a great everyday tool. Great for EMT Greenfield and Unistrut ext.

Just what I was looking for. A small and easy to use saw. Been playing with it around the shop. Odd shapes are no trouble and run time is better then I thought. Oh I've used it for work too.

I purchased an 18V mini band saw a few years back for the guys at work, they loved it and depended on it so much that when it was damaged by a fork truck and waiting on parts to repair dang near shut us down, I guess we did not realize how dependent we had become on it!. So I ordered a new 20V and repaired our older 18V so now we have two. Very handy, will fit in a lot of tight spaces while working on conduit and piping up in the trusses and very light weight with no cord.

I love this tool! Cuts through steel like butter. I will use a reciprocating saw when I have to, otherwise it's the porta-band ftw

Great tool for cutting metal, pvc, ridgid pipe, in all ways portable

The band saw works well and makes clean cuts in conduit. The balance feels a little different from other brands I’ve used in the past. The side hook would be better if it could rotate it out of the way. Had to remove the side hook to get the band saw in a tight location in the ceiling.

Just got the tool and was excited to install the blade and get to work. Looked through the box for the blade guard and couldn’t find it. After some online research apparently it doesn’t come with a blade guard. Thought that was strange and potentially dangerous. The Milwaukee I have used before sure had one. Would be a five star rating if it had come with the safety guard

Haven’t used yet just wanted extra blades
