It works, but it's difficult to attach and remove. I feel like it's getting easier, so it may just be a matter of the clips becoming more flexible over time.

My 18v batteries had died and I have a full set of Dewalt cordless tools that I thought were going to be useless because I was having a hard time finding replacement batteries. I came across this adapter for the 18v to 20v battery, now I’m good to go! It work great!

This does not fit my 18 volt tools very well. It is very hard to install and almost impossible to remove. It is a great idea but I am not pleased with how it works. It will not accept a 8ah 20 volt Dewalt battery. It has to be a 4ah or less.

This adaptor is great, it fits my 18v tools perfect, now i don't have to replace my hammer drill or my 90 degree drill.

It didn't work with the 18v flashlight

Home depot provided misinformation so it could not be used.

This brought new life to my 18V DeWalt power tools.

Never opened the package. Bought a 2-pack of 20v batteries and the adapter per store associate suggestion. I didn't realize (and apparently neither did the associate) that I would need a 20v charger as well. Will be returning both and probably just buying a whole 20v system.

2 stars because it works. I can't give it any more because of how difficult it is to remove. You are forced to purchase this or all of your 18V tools will be useless. I am a man with man hands and can't get it off without 2 flathead screwdrivers and some cussing. This is poorly designed for quick removal between tools.

This adapter is just what I've needed to continue using my old DeWalt drill, works great.

This is completely overpriced and not easy to use. First, it doesn't accept all De Walt batteries. The 6ah battery I bought wouldn’t fit, the two arms on the bottom impacted the battery before it could engage. Most problematic is once you do get it to accept a battery (5ah fit) and insert it in the tool it is impossible to remove from the tool without an assist from a screwdriver, pry bar, etc. The $9.99 aftermarket one I bought on line works much better. My advise, don’t buy the DeWalt adapter.
