I need to drill twenty (20) 1-1/2" holes to build a stall bar rack. This bit worked flawlessly. It did get hot so I needed to wait in between holes but any bit will get hot. The holes were centered and the right size. It clears the chips well. I sanded the ends of the 1-1/2" maple dowels a little to allow for the glue because they were fitting almost to tight. The bit still looks new. No complaints.

Easy to use. Super smooth drilling. Excellent finishing. The holes are just like I wanted.

bought it to complete a paulk workbench project, and thats how long it lasted. by the time i got done drilling 230 holes in half inch plywood, it was dull enough to have problems cutting through cardboard. if you need a temporary bit that will see infrequent use its good enoug. if you want something to go back to for years dont bother.

I needed to drill a 2" hole in a finished desktop and this fit the bill. It cut the hole cleanly without any extra marking on the tabletop and easily cut through the pine. The exit was in thin material like luan and this was much more problematic. Had I taped the exit hole before drilling it I might have had a better outcome. Does a great job on hard or soft wood however.

I am a novice wood worker who is learning about cabinet building. I wanted to use European hinges for my second cabinet building experience but needed a tool/jig to create the 35 mm circular hole in the cabinet door to install the hinges. This Forstner bit was exactly what I needed. Used in my drill press, it worked perfectly for me. It was very reasonably priced and produced high quality results to meet my needs.

Needed a drill bit to square off the end of my turning woods and drill pocket holes in some cedar. Works great for the pocket holes. Works great to square off the end of some Manzanita limbs to prepare them for turning stock in my lathe. The guide tip of the bit makes a great pilot hole for my thru drill bit. Sharp, durable & runs true in my drill press.

Diablo is my goto for a drill bits and saw blades, they stay sharper longer

Very clean cut. I used it on outdoor PVC boards and wood 2x4's. The wood only had tear out on the backside of the boards. The PVC was perfect circle with no marks. I only cared on the PVC. If i wanted the wood backs to be better I would of put a sacrificial piece on the back.

Working on a project for my daughter for her classroom I tried a number of different drill bits, and they all tore the holes up/ I finally found the forstner bits and they were perfect! Saved her $150.00!

Hi had tried several different spade bits with little satisfaction or progress. One of the Pro Desk guys said this Forstner bit would be just what I was looking for. He wasn’t wrong. I had to drill holes through my floor joists to run a length of 10/3 wire and this bit worked very well. Thank you Home Depot ProDesk !

These are great drill bits for a smooth cut. I used this on a formica cabinet.

Paid too much for a single bit, 8.99. could have bought 8 from Harbor Fright for 10.99
