Made three holes in wood with this and it was dull. Absolutely bizarre as I have never had any issues with any other Diablo products. Hopefully just a one off.

Used this tough and quick self propelling and extra long bit for chewing up the remains of a couple old posts the broke off in some concrete that had to remain. I got all the rot out like a backyard dentist and i wouldn't have been able to do it without the help of my diablo 1 inch by 16 inch speed bore in hand.

I bought one to go through a floor joist. 2 holes in the head snapped off. Figured I got a bad one so I went and bought another. Now I’m sitting here with to broken cheaply made spade bits.

Purchased this item on 11/22/22 to run some electrical wiring in my basement through 2x8s with my DeWalt battery drill. Maybe got through 5 single boards before the tip/guide snapped off in the wood - had to finish the rest with a traditional 1/2 drill bit. I didn’t even get to the three 2x8s that were sistered together.

This worked great just what I needed for the job.

The Diablo SPEEDemon Spade Bit is just that, it's a speedy bit that cuts through wood without issue. These are my favorite bits for deep cuts where a regular wood bit just isn't going to cut it. These bits are really strong and durable and last a long time. The threaded end really grabs the work piece, forcing the cutting end down and through without issue. A couple things to keep in mind, once the little cutting ears on the ends wear down to nothing, the bit really doesn't work anymore. Also, because the tip grabs and pulls towards the piece, if the blade gets jammed up on a piece of metal, it's going to yank your drill hard so be careful.

I drilled about 40 holes through 8x8 rail road tires really easy.

The brand new bit got stuck while drilling and I was unable to pull it out and broke the bit while trying to get it out. A useless purchase. I will never buy again!

Great for using in hard to reach spaces. Also for cutting through thick framework where plumbing and electrical lines need to run.

It drilled well for the first 4 inches and then decided to stray off the path and go down a different direction due to the bending of the shaft. But got the job done with extra passes.

It's a good "helper" for me.

Was not the right drill bit for the project.

Had one day. Works great if you drill in and out slowly.Trying to power drill straight through 3 4x6 stacked pressure treated boards, drill gets stuck and impossible to get out. Had to use diamond blade to cut the drill bit off flush to board.

Great bit , excellent price and it did a great job.

Works well to penetrate wall supports to run new cable.

Perfect drill bit for treated wood. Clean hole bit. I drilled every inch and brought the bit back out to clear the wood shavings off and re insert itas my 6x6 wood post was still very wet. The length was more then I needed but I will have uses for that later with remodeling so I found it a win win for the price. Very happy with purchase! Would get another one once this gives up.

Easy to clip into the drill

I needed a long enough drill bit to use on a tree trunk root. This drill bit was perfect.
