I would say to pass on these
Not very good. clogged and did not cut very well compared to other belts sold online only from home depot. If you are in a pinch and can not wait for shipping, then they might work until other belts come in the mail

I have had no problems with these belts like some users. I like that this is an assortment pack with a 50, 80, and 120 grit belts. They fit my craftsman 30 inch sander with no issues and preformed as expected. I use the belts on wood, metal, and plastic and did not have any shedding issues. Sanding belts are consumables when doing wood working and will they wear out with continuous use. The belts preformed well and met my expectations for sanding.

I will get these belts again. The Zirconium blend abrasive does an excellent job of removing wood and softer metals. I've used it on hard woods such as hard maple and oak with great results. The abrasive adheres to the belt very well. And it doesn't plug up like other belts I've used. And when it does a touch with a neoprene rubber stick removes it. And I like the 3 different grits.

These are just okay. The belts I usually use work really well on wood and especially on metal - and they last forever. But,I have to order them online. These are available down the street so I figured I'd give them a fair shot. On metal (re-establishing bevels on woodworking chisels), the grit comes right off. The 50 grit is like an uneven 220 grit withing a few minutes of use. The same happens with wood but not quite as quickly. It's also easy to burnish end grain on some harder woods like maple and leave red marks. They did stay on the sander well although they seem to be a bit larger as there was a lot of slack when I initially loaded them up whereas my preferred brand is a bit tight to sneak on even before tensioning. I would use these in a pinch, but based on experience with other brands (similar in price) I wouldn't recommend them

I use a 1x30 belt grinder primarily to sharpen my chisels and knives, 180 to 800 grit. When I get a nick in a blade or other damage or just need to reshape these 50 and 80 grit belts take stock off fast and after the 120 belt cleans it up the blade is ready for my aluminum carbide sharpening belts. These track beautifully and so far I am impressed with the grit life.

      Not so bad.
I have only used the 120 grit belt so far but it seem to be a good product. I am using it in a cheap central machine sander to shape and install a zebra wood handle on a damascus knife. It does great on the wood and made quick work of smoothing out the brass pins. it even does pretty good cleaning up some edges on the damascus. overall i am pretty satisfied with it.

Worst belts I have ever used.
I bought these belts for a 1 x 30 sander I have had and used for a long while now. I only bought them because the Home Depot was closer than my usual supplier at the time and I did not want to order them online. First set I purchased, two out of the three belts flew off because of improper size. I exchanged them for a second set. The second set, only one of the belts fit improperly, but I decided to just take the loss because I wanted to get my project done. However when using the belts that ( in some small form) fit "better" they would still come flying off the wheels when in use. And what little use the belts did get, the grit came off the belts much too quickly and were wore down with less than a couple minutes of use.

      does not work well
These Diablo sanding belts are.... NOT RECOMMENDED They are listed as "premium zirconium blend", for wood, metal or plastics, and are non-directional (angled cut). They, or at least the 50 grit belt, which is the only one I have used so far, start off to do the job acceptably, I guess, but it is no great shakes at material removal. The big problem I saw is that they shed grit like a dog sheds hair..... I've used this sander for many years, and this is the only belt that has blasted me with loose grit to this extent. When I started using it, my hands were being grit-blasted by shed abrasive, and after a little use, the belt doesn't remotely resemble the one I put on the machine. Either there was too much coarse loose grit on it to begin with, or it doesn't hold grit worth a darn. But the 50 grit belt now looks like a 100 or 150 grit belt, after only a few minutes use. Might be OK for wood, but don't bother buying them for metal. And since you can ONLY buy an assortment, you will build up a supply of stuff you don't need.
