Almost perfect
After 13 years my Magic Chef refrigerator was losing the ability to keep beverages cold.
So after the great reviews I chose this Refrigerator. Also because it was a tad bigger and anything comparable had a freezer, that I do not need nor want.
Well here is the rub. The first time we loaded it up with cans and bottles every time you opened the door a bottle or can would fall over.
The reason is the wire shelves are spaced too far apart. They do not support bottles or cans well. Lucky I still had my Magic Chef and although the glass shelves are about an inch too narrow they fit right on top of the wire shelves. And that solved the problem. If I did not have those I would have my local hardware cut me some plexiglas.
So now the good stuff, the Beverages are ice cold, and i hope I get the longevity that others have had.
I have included pics of the glass shelves on the wire ones.

After two weeks the refrigerator is working well and holding a steady temperature. Perfect size to fit a 25 inch tall corny keg and 5 pound CO2 tank. I'm giving it 4 stars and not 5 only due to short time I have had it.

I have been using this for the past two months and I turned mine into a Kegerator so I will revie...
I have been using this for the past two months and I turned mine into a Kegerator so I will review it as such. It was pretty simple to cut drill the top for the tower and faucet assembly. I used 3/4" copper pipe, deburred to pass between the fridge and the tower and used silicone to seal. I have not yet cut out the front inside cover and this fits a corny keg and 5lb CO2 tank effortlessly. After two kegs and continuously monitoring the unit temperature, the fridge hovers around 40ish degrees. I wish it would be colder but slightly warmer than ideal beer is better than no beer. I gave the unit 4 stars, if I were only using it as a beverage fridge I would have given it 3 stars due to the temperature being higher than I would like. I ended up giving it the extra star because of the ease of conversion into a kegerator.

Great Mini-Fridge!
This Danby mini-fridge is perfect for use in our office. It is the perfect size to keep my lunch, plus bottled water and soda's for visitors to the office, with room to spare. We just remodeled the office and this fridge looks very nice alongside the new furniture. My boyfriend has had this same model in his summer kitchen outside by his pool for about a year and it has been great! It keeps the drinks ice cold, even in the summer heat here in Florida, and he has not had any problems with it. I would highly recommend this mini-fridge to anyone looking for a quality product at a reasonable price.

Nice ice cold beer fridge. Just like my old Danby only with more space since the freezer section was removed. Last one lasted 15 years approx. Hoping the same for this new one.

Good beer fridge, beware of internal light
Pros: Fridge is a rare size, at a reasonably price, and is a perfect beer or kegerator fridge.
Cons: Internal light will stay on! After noticing via thermometer that the top shelf of my fridge was warmer than the rest of the fridge, I discovered that the fridge light was staying on when the fridge door was closed. Add a spacer or something on the switch to get it to close, or just remove the light bulb like I did.

Danby 4.4 cf mini fridge.
Nice fridge. Good size, no freezer, has a light and is energy efficient. Cools easily.
So far very satisfied.

Best for Drink Cooler Only
Doesn’t really keep items cold. I can’t get the temperature to go below 40 degrees on the highest setting. Maybe good for a drink refrigerator but not food.

The description of this product should be updated on the website. The first line implies that it can be installed under a standard counter ("slides under most standard countertops") so I purchased it. Then as I was reading more closely, I saw they want 5" on top of the unit for space and I tried to cancel (within an hour on a Sunday) and I was too slow which is either fantastic or terrible customer service, I can't decide. Anyway, I think we'll make it work but the description should be updated so that this isn't misleading.

not too cold

Danby is the BEST
What a great small fridge. We use it in the garage for pop and produce. Lots of room and good design. Completely happy with it. Buy it you won’t be disappointed.

Buyer Beware
Read the fine print. Specifically bought at HD in case the item was not what I expected, could easily return to a store. Not so fast... fine print says non-returnable. Danby has their own warranty program which basically is a system of figuring out how you did not use the item properly. I installed in my garage in NJ in October, should be no issue, but not according to Danby. The refrigerant leak is being chalked up to improper installation. Buy something different.

Can only maintain temps of 42-47 F with about 40 Lbs. of food in it.
Repair tech "says" bad compressor even though it is running. (but maybe not long enough?)
Had a 9 YO old Danby 4.4 cu ft. that started to show the same thing and that's why the "new" one!
Danby will "provide alternatives" soon as they can figure out their inventory (they say).

Noisier than expected
We are happy enough with this fridge. The size was perfect for our needs, the design/look is fine, I like how the internal storage is configured, and it was easy to readjust the shelves for our needs. On the downside, it is noisier than I expected (or it appears so based on where we put it in the house), and according to the EPA sticker, it uses electricity in the upper end of 'similar products'. After the fact I did realize this product was sold by other on-line retailers with free shipping included.

Lasted Five years
Just went out…lasted 5 years under my bar in AZ…sometimes reaching 110 degrees for weeks. It was shaded by the bar-but understand this little beast held up for beer storage at the pool. Soon to buy another one at HD. Great product.

Does not get down to 32 degrees. Since it is being used as a beer/wine cooler, it is okay for us that it does not get below 40 degrees. But I would not store milk in it.

Needed a smaller capacity refrigerator until my new regular capacity...
Needed a smaller capacity refrigerator until my new regular capacity refrigerator/top freezer unit arrived and this unit worked perfectly. Now that I do have my larger kitchen unit I am able to store 12 packs of soda, water and protein drinks in it so that when I transfer them to the kitchen they are already cold.

Mini fridge was delivered to the store as promised, in excellent condition. Been using it sparingly, until it is converted to a basement bar kegerator! Works great, quiet and would be a good choice for anyone wanting a mini fridge. Really like the in door can storage racks.
