Everything was as expected

We bought this unit about two years ago. It’s already broken with an internal leak, not repairable. Pretty bummed about this purchase and the quality of the product. We liked the look, liked the shelves. Looks great, life of product... horrble.

Fine enough for office use. But the racks are very janky. Overall it’s mediocore build but it is what it is for the price point.

It’s a very attractive unit, but like other reviews stated the compressor went out after less than 18 months. It doesn’t make sense to repair it so we’re in the market for a new wine fridge.

Unit is attractive, easy to install and keeps the proper temperature.

The appliance is nice, however the racks are difficult to pull out and hard to load because they areREALLY close together.

No room for large bottles w/o removing a shelf

Some of the shelves are too small for certain types of bottles (Pinot Noir) thus forcing you to use those shelves for the smaller bottles. Even then, the space can cause the label to be scraped off. Also, several of the shelves have no stop. The bottom shelf is just resting on the bottom of the cooler. The compressor seems to be of good quality. Fairly quiet for a compressor cooler. Appearance is good.

I will never shop at Home Depot again. I bought this fridge twice, paid for delivery and both times it shipped completely damaged. I had to then return the fridge to a store for store credit. Not worth it.

Came damaged but we were able to us it. Looked like it had been returned and reshipped, presumably damaged. Not impressed!

It runs just a bit noisy.

Good reasonably priced wine cooler. Very quiet. Time will tell if it is reliable. All the wine coolers seem to fail in a few years.

Oh yes it was easy. Once you decide what temp to keep your wine stored at “you set it and forget it.” Home Depot made it easy, they delivered a day ahead of schedule too! helped out a lot, as we were leaving for vacation.

It seems well built and is operating well

Cooled quickly, runs quietly and I think I got at least 50 bottles into the frig. I've had the frig about a month and am very pleased so far.

This is a second purchase of a Danby wine cooler. 2 months out of warranty for the past cooler Danby would offer a 10% discount on the purchase of another Danby product. Contacted Danby and still have not heard back from Danby. The recent purchase appears to be working as advertised.

Bought new and lasted 16 months then stopped cooling. Looks to be pretty average based on similar reviews. I would shop for another unit that is far more reliable.

Have had the Danby 50 bottle wine cooler for a week now. It has held a perfect 55F the whole time. It is very very quiet and does not run constantly as others have noted. Honestly, it is so much better than my old VinoTemp (also bought from HD) which was noisy and temperature varied by a couple degrees. It is well constructed, feels solid, has a fan to even out temperature and a door ajar alarm that will beep after 5 minutes. I would recommend this wine cooler. Why not 5-stars? I am not giving any wine cooler 5-stars until they have shelves that can easily accommodate larger bottles. Pinot and other wide format bottles are extremely tight between the shelves. You have to lift the shelf up above to slide the lower shelf out. And the wire on the shelves are not spaced to allow even bottle spacing. My old VinoTemp had inserts that were bottle shaped to keep the bottles spaced evenly. Unfortunately that feature also limited it's flexibility. Holding the wider bottles, is not just a Danby issue, it's a wine cooler issue in general. They all need to come into the real world of bottles that are not all Bordeaux size and be real about what they coolers hold.

We have had this unit for 3yrs now. I normally don't write a review but this has been a great fridge. This fridge has gone through a flood and is still working after we plugged it back in. The only thing, it is the compressor is a little noise.

This product looks great, but the shelves do not slide easily and are too close together.

Our cooler worked great for a month or two. Then it started beeping. Neither the manual or service seems to know why. We lived with the beeping for several years. Meanwhile the pull out shelves have broken. Even when new, there were times when a whole shelf would just drop all the bottles. Now the unit is completely broken. The manuals are no longer online and no parts. Pretty much a waste of money.

I bought 2 to put in my new house. They came in damaged as if both had been dropped. I had to take them for install as my house was in a Parade of Homes and dents were on back corners of units. They are nice looking but I’m not happy about the conditions they were shipped.

The item had a small dent in the corner but I did not realize that until a week after delivery since we did not open the box until it was ready to install. Understand this is beyond the 48 hour time frame from Home Depot so we installed anyway.

Worked well. This was a replacement for another Danby (same model) which failed after 3 years.

Assembly instructions were clear. All parts were included. Door change wa easy. Cooler is very quiet

Easy to install! Great value

Love it. Large capacity. Easy to use. So far, I love it.

Simple operation. Installed it easily in less than 10 minutes. Put it on 50 degrees, it got the contents to that temp very fast and has stayed there. Had it a month and it is working fine so far. Totally silent. Cannoty tell it is running but for the LED temp control readout. Great looking.
