When I purchased this product I had intended to use it to paint an old wood table. I changed my mind and instead painted a tan 1950's naugahyde vinyl office chair. Covered the vinyl beautifully. Gave it two coats although it looked pretty good with just one. It was easy to apply, no offensive smell, easy clean up. I also purchased the wax by the same manufacture which added a nice shine to my chair. My first experience with this type of paint and it was a very positive one for me.

This was my first project using chalk paint and it actually was much easier than I expected. Two coats of paint, some distressing and one coat of creme wax and VOILA! I am very happy with the results and I plan to use the same paint and technique for a bigger project: turning an old entertainment center into a kitchen pantry :) Stay tuned!

    Great paint!
I love using this paint! It's very easy to use and goes on smoothly. Items need little to no prep work and the paint adheres very well. I've used several colors in the line and am always very happy with the end result! This color is a light blue/gray and looks great with the clear creme wax or the dark brown wax for distressing. Will definitely be using this product again!

    Not Green
Though I do appreciate the texture of this paint, as well as its' ability to hide flaws and the convenience of not having to prep painting surface, I am disappointed in the color. It appears to be a sage green/greyish color on the can swatch, but paints on more like a robin's egg blue. I actually adore the blue color, just not for the project for which I'm on a time crunch to complete. Because I live an hour away from The Home Depot (or any similar store), this is truly devastating!

      Color is more blue
I was expecting a green grey with this vintage color based on photos of furniture. But this is much more baby blue than I would have liked.

        Very pleased
I actually love this color. I wanted to try chalk paint. I started with an old chair very dark wood good sound but horrible seat cover. I love this color. It is a light sage green (gray/green) in natural light, but at night with artificial light it looks grey blue, sometimes even light lavender. I just think it's lovely. I was very happy with the ease of application, cleanup. I'm now going to do my dining room chairs and table and have gray on the tabletop. The chair looked beautiful, I refurbished the seat completely and then used a pretty bird patterned fabric. I put it out for free, it was a fun project.

        Color was off
I ordered vintage which has a label that looks like a greenish/gray. After applying it appears more light blue/gray. Sad because it is for my unborn daughters dresser. Wanted green not blue.

Good quality chalk paint for refinishing in cottage style
I have used other chalk/clay paints in the past, but they were from specialty stores and much more expensive. These types of paints cover a large area, are easy to use, and don't require sanding anything beforehand. I used 3 of these to cover a large oval dining table with a pedestal base, a large buffet hutch and 6 chairs. You can "wipe it back" with a damp cloth so it has the appearance of natural aging down to the original wood. You can also use sandpaper, but I prefer the wet method. I will state that this color is not a light grey as everything appears to be. It is more a light blue-grey. I did mix in some of the darker grey Relic color to get a truer grey. You will also need to use the varnish, I chose the matte varnish, to finish the project. One coat is usually enough to protect even hard used areas like table tops. If you are more comfortable, use two coats.

Awesome price...great consistency. ..end product was remarkable. Only problem was that the color wasn't very clos
The color indicated on top of product was more "green"...what I got was a pale blue. Loved the chalky finish. It is a great paint to distress with. I think they could work on their color tho. Id definitely tell a friend to use it. Works as well as Annie Sloan chalk paint....

          Loved it!
I had a small project to do with chalk paint and this size of 16oz. was perfect. I could not tell the difference in this vs Anne Sloan chalk paint.

Not the same as color shown online
The swatch I saw online for "vintage" was a green/blue vintage color I've seen, but the color I received ended up being lighter and more blue, almost robin's egg blue. I'm disappointed that these paints aren't available inside of stores where people can check them out. This is a lower-quality chalk paint. I also noticed that the creme wax to use on top and buff to protect the paint says it has to be re-applied about twice a year. Once I'm done, I want to be done. Also, the paint took two coats. Without a second coat, lots of white streaks showed up in the brush strokes showing the white Zinnser primer I used underneath. It's not the brush. I used a good quality China white brush.
