Some say the installation is "easy". Perhaps, if you're an experienced DIY'r. I wouldn't call this installation a beginner's project, especially if you're tub has a tile surround. With a tile surround, the screws are not supported for the first 3/4" as they pass through the tile and backer board prior to screwing into the studs. There's a lot of leverage working against these screws, especially if someone grabs hold of a door or rail to prevent a fall. To attach the brackets to the wall, instead of the screws provided I used #10 - 3" stainless screws and quality silicone caulk to prevent water seepage where the screws penetrate the tile. The instructions show how to compensate for a less than perfectly level tub. This curved door assembly has a lot of geometry that must line up for it to look good and operate smoothly. If your tub isn't level and your walls perfectly plumb, I'd think I'd pass. Templates are provided and they'll get your mounting positions close but not perfect. A laser level is of great help to assure the mounts are positioned exactly where they belong and are coplanar to each other. The doors are attractive, operate smoothly, and do a decent job of keeping water in the shower/tub where it belongs. I'm happy with tub and door assembly, I'll update this review if I run into problems over time. I'd give this 5 stars if there were better instruction and proper hardware for installation over a tile surround.

BE AWARE!!!! Delta do nor sell replacement parts RP81144 (waterfall gaskets) & RP100108 (vertical gaskets) unless you buy a new door. FYI, those plastic cheap pieces get damaged, break, detach with water, get moldy and they need to be replaced after few months of use and cleaning.

I absolutely LOVE the modern, sleek look of this sliding door. The doors slide so easily and it looks like I have a new bathroom. I cannot say enough wonderful things about these doors!!!

It came out great, just took time to assemble and hang. I did it by myself but a second set of hands will make it easier.

Well constructed. Thy have a solid feel. But, After about 6 months the plastic strips that are supposed to prevent the water from splashing out between the door and tub fall off. I tried reapplying them by thouroughly cleaning the glass and reapplying them with Gorilla Glue double sided tape and that didnt even work. Dissapointing

Gorgeous. Love the curvature glass! Installed with tile application so had contractor shave down crossbars to fit with marble tiles.

The tub only lasted us 4 years. The tub cracked a d now we have to pull it out , replace the tiles as well. This will eventually cost us lots of money.

It really compliments my bathroom!

That is about the time it took to show some issues. First, the top bar makes it very difficult to get the inside of the top portion of glass clean. Then, the bottom sweep, which is held on with some tacky type of material came off. Water all over the floor without that sweep. How am I supposed fo adhere this without ruining my door with glue or the wrong tape? In addition, there is a part where you can’t reach snd you can’t clean in the dead middle of the doors. So the bathtub looks filthy at the spot where the door joins. I can’t reach if. I have tried to cram my fingers in there but it is difficult. I use a squeegee after every shower but then they still need to be cleaned with glass cleaner weekly and you can’t reach two spots because of hardware and design. The flimsy bottom sweep held on by a tacky substance fell off at 6 months. The elements of quality are a mismatch. I may have the doors for 20 years but with wet floors or 2x yearly bottom sweep replacement. I also, have no idea where to get a sweep designed for this door and the substance needed to adhere it. I did email Delta to inquire about the sweep issue.

These doors are just beautiful…

I bought this tub and installed it a couple of years ago and I love the look and function of it until...my 4 year old ripped the waterfall drip edge off the bottom of the glass door, and now a ton of water ends up on my floor rather than in the tub and down the drain. I went to Home Depot (where I bought it from) for a replacement part and they were absolutely no help at all. They couldn't even try to order it. So then I went to Deltas web page and tried to order the part and their "Parts Search Bar" dose not even recognize the part number! How is that when it's their part? ABSOLUTELY RIDICULOUS!!! Guess who's shower door will never get installed in my home again? And guess where I won't be buying that door from again?

I purchased this shower door in April because it was so unique. My contractor installed it and at the time neither of us saw a defect within the glass. Later on upon closer examination, I saw the small defect which both the contractor and I thought was just a spot that would require reaching and removing. That turned out not to be the case. The defect is within the glass and totally unreachable. I phoned Delta and sent them a photo and they acknowledged the defect and said they will replace the door but not cost of reinstallation. Contacted Home Depot and was told the same thing. Home Depot offered me a $50 Home Depot gift card.......including tax, I paid $616.61 for this shower door. A $50 HD gift card was not going to remove my dissatisfaction with this pretty door with a black defect, and yes it's small, but noticeable. I am extremely displeased with Home Depot. I had a major home remodeling job done to my home lasting 6 months and spent thousands at Home Depot and in return for an eyesore in this beautiful door they offer me a $50 gift card!!!!!!!!!!!!!! TOTALLY UNACCEPTABLE! Shame on you Home Depot!!

We are very pleased with the tub shower unit with curved glass. The young lady that helped us with our purchase was very helpful and knowledgeable about this unit. High priced but was what we wanted. Turned out great

The manufacturer states they don't recommend that you install it directly onto tile but I can't see any other way to do it. We had a professional install it for us and he had no problems doing so. It's a beautiful door and we love the look! If your walls are not precisely straight you may get a little bit of leakage after a shower but otherwise it's a perfect fit for our (non-Delta) bathtub! Make sure you measure your tub and double-check the specifications!

Our family Lives the look of the shower doors and hardware. We got the whole store set up in our newly remodeled house. The only thing that's disappointing is the white barrier strip that is glued to the tub, it keeps coming undone like the glue really doesn't work!!! I don't wanna ruin our new tub trying some other industrial glue to see what would work, is there anything else that ure company uses or any other solution to fix this issue?? And we didn't get any instructions on these Beautiful glass doors our contractor knew how to put up and do it because he installed 3 more like these within the past couple of months. Would you be able to send me instructions so we can file away with our other bought items. Thank You.
