great mounting brackets. This is a nice style in Chrome. Our old TP holder had a white plastic tube. This chrome one looks classier. The spring rod thing is still plastic, but looks good. The Chrome holders are solid and well built. We especially like the mounting brackets. Easy to attach the brackets and the holders simply slide onto the strong tabs. We'll look for this type of mounting bracket in the future. There is no tiny set screw underneath to deal with. Smart!

I would give 5 start but i didnt realize the "easy clip" mount feature. Seems like if it is bumped upwards it could potentially fall off the wall. I am sure it will be fine, but there is not a set screw like others i have used in past. This is nice since you don't have to smash your fingers against the wall to turn the "old style" set screw. The large baseplate also makes it easy to cover up old mounting holes if you are updating fixtures in your bathroom. Overall i like the easy clip system and am sure it will hold up over time. I would buy this system again.

This product is very nice and durable. I love the look of it which brings a nice look to your bathroom. The handles to hold up the paper holder is extremely sturdy and the bar to hold up the roll itself is light weight, that way it can be easily install and retract back and forth to get the roll on easily and stay securely. You would definitely love this and would not need to replace it in a hurry. Easy to use installation kit and instructions.

I really like the shine on this chrome toilet paper holder. It seems to be good quality and has a nice weight to it and the spring seems like it will last. It comes with all hardware needed for installation. It was easy to install. My only complaint is that I like to buy the jumbo rolls of toilet paper (because no one puts a new roll on!) and this is a little to small.

Our second is a bit small, the first TP holder I installed was a J hook type that is open on one end. Due to tight space the roll seemed to get knocked off when cleaning or getting the trash can, so it time to put up a nice holder. The Delta holder is high quality with some weight to it. The holder has a good chrome finish and a sturdy spring for the roll holder. The mounting was fast and easy. From the time I went to the basement to get my tools, back up, take the old one off, mount the Delta and put the tools away... 15 min. It looks great.

We've lived with no on wall toilet paper holder in this house since purchase several years ago. We were using this cute, artsy wire dog on the floor made for this purpose. Only, it tipped over too easy, got in the way, etc. I previously installed a Delta Porter hanger next to the shower which blended well with the other fixtures in the bathroom. I decided to pick up this Delta Porter Toilet Paper Holder that matched and install it on the wall. It wasn't the "low projection" type that requires cutting a large hole into the wallboard and installing a backer to screw into. Like all Delta Porter products, it seemed heavy and well made. Except for the actual part that the toilet paper mounts on. That is chromed plastic which I am not a fan of because in my experience, the chrome rubs off the plastic over time. We'll have to see. I always like to mount at least one side of any bathroom wall fixture into a stud for strength in an application where repeated hand use is involved to avoid them coming loose and becoming wobbly. I do like the Delta Porter easy mounting system they have. Mount two plates to the wall and slide the fixture onto them. Easy to pull them off too off if you want to paint, clean, etc. But, I did find that the provided, plastic drywall anchors just weren't up to the need in this instance. The screws haven't been able to grip the mounting plate tight and there is some play. And, I'm no novice to using these plastic wall anchors. I will be replacing those with molly bolts to better secure the mounting plate to the wall. This holder is nice looking and matches our existing towel/robe hanger we already had. It's certainly better than that wire dog holder we were using. And probably just as pretty. ;-)

Probably one of the best toilet paper holders I ever bought. It is well built. You can tell by loading a roll on to the tube that it's made to last. The instructions to hang it are great. The template they supply makes it almost foolproof to hang it level. I lucked out. One side hit a stud. But the wall anchors they give you , work just fine for sheetrock walls. And it looks good. If you install it correctly , it sits solid on the wall.

The finish on this toilet paper holder is Flawless. Very good looking Chrome. I do like the Attachment system to this assembly. It has the mounting brackets that are a hook style attachment. The instructions are very easy to follow. everything you need is included in the package ant there is a template guide for the mounting holes that need drilled included on the instructions.

Over the years I have install lots of toilet paper holders and towel bars and after getting the brackets mounted, I always struggled to tighten the tiny set screw on the bottom to hold it tight. Delta made installing this toilet paper holder a breeze. Just use the template to mark proper spacing where you want to mount it, screw in the brackets and the holder just snaps in place, and very tightly. What a great idea. love it.

This is a very pretty toilet paper holder with elegant left and right mounts and a chromed plastic, spring-loaded paper holder rod. Personally, I wish manufacturers would supply metal paper holder rods, but plastic is standard. The wall mounting plates are quite beefy for such a light duty item. The are metal with two upward facing tabs that match with slots in the left and right mounts. Two supplied screws are driven into each wall plate to secure them to the wall. Wall anchors are provided for the screws, if needed. The left and right paper holder mounts are placed over and slightly above the tabs in the wall mounts, then pulled down along the wall so the tabs engage the slots firmly to complete the installation. The result is a beautiful paper holder that will upgrade the appearance of any bathroom.

The DELTA PORTER toilet paper holder in polished chrome is a well crafted set with an attractive detail of graceful curves which are reminiscent of older buildings and structures with unique architectural facets. I really like the weight of the cast zinc posts and the chrome finish has a very nice sheen. The installation instructions also include a template so mounting hardware will not be a hassle. We have not decided which paper holder will be the first to be replaced by this elegant piece. They also offer this one in oil rubbed bronze and brushed nickel so it might just be time for a little bathroom updating. Thanks!

This is a well-built unit, with large metal bases that slide down onto mounting clips so that no screws show on the installed device. The chrome is bright and even, well-done. The center bar is spring loaded with a retainer over the spring so that the spring does not fly out or fall out. This is a great design both for installation and function. The large bases cover any existing marks or holes from previous holders.

Delta Porter Toilet Paper Holder in polished chrome- nice quality at a very reasonable price! The Delta Porter Toilet Paper Holder is a really nice quality bathroom fixture that should look nice with most decors, I installed mine in a more traditional bathroom and it looks great. This fixture is a combination of metal and plastic, the brackets and end post are a metal zinc composite with chrome finish and the toilet paper bar is plastic with an internal spring mechanism. Matching faucets and accessories are also available in this Porter collection. Installation was super easy, if you are replacing an existing toilet paper holder the holes may not line up so you should use the enclosed template to mark the holes for drilling . I had a single bracket bar previously so I used the existing holes for one bracket and end post and I had to drill two additional holes for the second bracket. One thing I highly recommend is taping the template to the wall and then use a level to assure you have a level bar once you are finished installing it-- nothing is worse than a crooked fixture and having multiple holes to patch because the fixture was uneven. Once the appropriate holes are drilled you then attach the wall brackets with the included hardware. One of the best features of this holder is you do not have to attach the end post to the brackets with a tiny little set screw. All you do with this fixture is slide the end post over the brackets and insert the spring loaded bar. I have several Delta fixtures and the customer service is excellent, they have a great customer service support line and they stand by the lifetime warranty of their products. I highly recommend the Delta Porter Toilet Paper Holder because it is a very nice quality at a great price, less than $15. Additionally, it is very easy to install , matching faucets and fixtures are also available and the Porter looks great with most bathroom decors.

DELTA PORTER TOILET PAPER HOLDER IN POLISHED CHROME We are very happy with our new Delta toilet paper holder. It matched our toilet and Decour perfectly it give us the exact look we were looking for. It was very easy to install the directions were very clear. The spring feels very strong and I feel it will give us a lifetime of toilet paper holding.

I recently had to replace the toilet paper holder in my bathroom. During my online trip to Home Depot I spotted the Delta Porter Toilet Paper Holder in Polished Chrome which was pretty close to the Delta holder I was replacing. Upon taking it out of the box, right away I noticed the quality of the 2 holder side pieces. It came with all the hardware, spindle and self explanatory instructions to install it. I'm am not a pro at installing things and I had the old one removed and new one installed in 20 minutes. I was highly satisfied with the finished product and recommend it to anyone who is looking for a durable and stylish yet in expensive addition to any bathroom.

I am very happy with this product, The Delta Porter Toilet Paper Holder with Chrome finish. It has several coordinating bath accessories in the Porter Collection. Although the overall toilet paper holder has simple lines it has a nice ~ rich ~ look and feel. The necessary mounting hardware and Instructions for installation, is complete in the kit ~ the sign of a quality product. Delta has never disappointed us. I needed to replace our toilet paper holder and picked this one as it's metal, chrome plated, except for the roller tube which is chrome plated plastic (not important to me, I've never had one break). I like the fact that the roller tube does NOT come apart so I don't have to keep finding the spring and struggling to get it back in the brackets. Install was very easy, everything is in the box including the small wrench to tighten the set-screws on each side. Looks great too!!

The Delta Porter collection chrome toilet paper holder...we choose this toilet paper holder for our guest bathroom. Installation was simple and straight forward...the mounting brackets comes with a temp plate. For install in drywall it comes with the hardware needed...though I like using small toggle bolts for a more secure fit for drywall. Or you can as I did drill holes from the temp plate into the vanity cabinet. Once the mounting brackets are in place I used a rubber mallet to secure the other brackets that holds the paper roll in place. Everything is in place and very secure....I love the mounting system,they call it Easy Clip and it comes in a nice polished chrome finish. There are also several coordinating accessories available in the Porter collection from Delta such a multi-purpose hook,towel ring, 18 and 24 inch towel bars.

Any contractor, DIYer or heck any novice homeowner will tell you that delta has superior products with a classic and elegant taste. The toilet paper holder, while just a holder, the style and look of it is something to be hold. Installation was super easy, no more than 10 minutes and anyone can install it with the right tools. I highly recommend this product to anyone.

It is my opinion that this item might not be a good choice for some installations, as the installation process may result in damage to the mounting surface. While noting that final assembly (see Install Guide Step 7) requires “sliding” the TP Holder posts "downward" over the wall-mounted brackets (clips) that secure it, I realized that the design relies on a tight "compression" between the bracket attached to the wall and the TP Holder posts. Specifically, it requires a “sliding-under-compression” action that could damage the wall surface. In my case this surface would be my beautiful $1K oak vanity surface. As a test, I affixed some masking tape on a wall and then did a trial installation of the bracket and TP Holder post as instructed in the Installation Guide. The photos attached reveal the results. I suppose that installation on a painted drywall surface might be easily touched-up, but I'd never attempt installation of this design on a papered wall, or on a finished vanity surface for sure. Unfortunately, as evident in the attached photos, the unit I received also had mfg blemishes/distortions (probably tooling/casting marks) under the finish. However, if I can't find a better match for my other fixtures I still might go with one of these units because it really is beautiful and of sturdy utility. In my case I know I can make it work by drilling a hole in the center of the wall-mounting bracket, and then accessing the center screw within the post itself (see attached photo), from the INSIDE of my vanity wall. This would provide a method to loosen the post-mounted bracket to relieve the compression prior to Step 7, and then re-tighten the center screw to finish the job after Step 7. It is also my opinion that the bracket hole spacing could-be and should be wider. As it is now (with hole centers about 15/16 apart) it provides for little space (only about 1/2 inch of wallboard) between the two provided hollow wall anchors, and worse, does not allow enough space to allow use of some of the better wall anchors. I see no reason why the existing bracket couldn't be extended by another 1/2 inch (upward) to accommodate use of various medium/heavy duty type wall anchors. I hope Home Depot will encourage the MFR to reconsider the design and possibly add both features, because it could improve on the already robust mounting design which is far better then the "set-screw" alternatives more widely used.

I've only had it about a week but I like the style and color. My problem was that the screws at the bottom were very hard to put in given the low height and location of the holder. I ended up putting them on top for the time being.
