Finally! A soaker tub for the normal size bathroom! This is a beautiful tub that can be installed in the normal bathtub space. That's where this tub is unique. I have an older home which has smaller bathrooms. As I can't afford to add space to the bathroom, this is the perfect tub to give an updated, modern look to my small bathroom. It is the same dimensions as a normal tub, and it clearly states that it has a 16" soaker depth. I found that to be perfect for me. It's as deep as a claw foot tub. With that said, it was still a huge remodel to take out the old tub and install this one. Obviously, tile had to be extended down the walls to the floor, but I had a plumber move the supply and drain lines. From there, I had no problem as the tub is in only two pieces. It has leveling feet which are great in old homes where the floor isn't always plumb. While a huge project, it is well worth it.

I chose this tub, because I wanted to replace our old jacuzzi tub. It turned out to be a lot more work than I thought - make sure you plan ahead. If you're replacing a freestanding tub, it'll be a relatively easy job. Otherwise, plan for two weekends. This tub is made of a shiny acrylic material. The tub and the skirt are two separate pieces and if you install a deck faucet, you'll need to take the tub apart. Give some thought to installing a floor mount faucet - it's a little tricky trying to get the water supply hooked up and aligning the drain and gluing the tub to the floor. All must be done at one time, since the water supply must be inside the skirt. That's why you should think about a floor mount faucet. Our new tub makes a bold statement. It's a great looking tub, very modern and I love that we can walk all the way around the tub. The glossy white finish looks very high end. We love the look of the skirt going all the way to the floor - very clean looking. This is a very well made tub. You'll love the look and it's a lot deeper than a regular tub. It feels very luxurious! I highly recommend it!

YES! This is a beautiful looking tub. Elegant, modern and CLEAN (pun intended)!! Please note the size of this tub as it's not overly large or overly deep for that matter. At only 5 feet long, it won't fit most people. I'm a smaller person in stature and I even felt a bit cramped in it as I could barely stretch my legs out, even when sitting completely upright. Note that it only has 16 inches of soaking depth as well so if you do want to sink into it, your knees are up and out of the water... This is not for lounging and not for leisurely soaking. There is also an overflow drain that prevents from completely filling the tub which is great unless you want to install it in a large walk in shower stall and don't really care if it overflows. It does come with a chrome toe tap drain valve and overflow fixture for a nice accent.

We have an antique home with a (poorly) refinished claw tub in one bathroom that my Wife uses on occasion. I grabbed this tub because I didn’t want to mess with refinishing that claw foot. This design is much more modern, for sure, but it’s elegant enough to still look good in our space. It’s a handsome tub. While it doesn’t have the old-school, heavy feel that the claw had, it doesn’t feel flimsy, either. The tub is comfortable and deep. It’s about the same capacity of a claw tub, but is a bit deeper. WARNING: If you’re looking at this tub as a DIY, be aware that there is a lot to this install! You will need either a freestanding faucet/filler with a rough-in floor kit to mount it to (it needs a strong, stable base), or you a deck mount faucet (on the top). The drain plumbing is in the center. If you’re replacing an existing tub you’ll most likely need to rework every bit of your plumbing from supply to drain. The tub is comprised of two major pieces and the base piece has leveling feet. To secure it to the floor you use silicone under the base and around it once placed. To deck mount a faucet you separate the tub into two pieces with a few screws. You can optionally add insulation inside the tub when flipped upside down, inserting it between the walls if you’d like to make it sound a bit more dead and to keep heat in longer. For even more sound/vibration deadening you could also apply some of the rolled water shield that looks like tar. That stuff really eliminates vibration well. Note that the only thing anchoring this type of tub to the floor is the drain and silicone beads. Of course, when it’s full of water that’s quite a bit of force holding it down, as well. Summary: I have no complaints about the design, build quality or function of this tub. It’s most definitely another high quality product from Delta. Many tubs in this style are over $1,000 so I ranked this high in value. Installation on this is typical of a free standing tub from other vendors so I ranked that as “Average ease of installation”.
