Does not heat as advertised

Worked has expected. Uses gas as stated(3 hrs). Lit easily.

Didn’t light, pilot went out after holding 30 seconds… had to return it.

I was disappointed with this little heater. It is very difficult to light and blows out frequently. I was hoping for a product that worked more reliably. For the amount of money spent, I expected it to actually turn on.

Not enough power to heat what I needed. Others may find it sufficient. Lighting them is VERY VERY hard the first time. Getting gas to go through the lines a “burp” out any air takes wiggling the unit, shaking it and holding it upside down. As soon as I realized this, it only took 10 minute rather than the first hour I tried.

Portable and convenient for outdoor gatherings.

I've had this unit for approximately a month. This heater is useless in any kind of outdoor setting. Any small breeze results in the burner blowing out. I am very disappointed and will return it.

Overall, the heater is fairly good, not great. I have used it outside twice. To stay warm, you have to stay close and, as many reviews have mentioned, it is easily affected by wind. Turning it off and on resolves the problem. The greatest problem was getting it to light the first time but after ~5 minutes or more continually trying to light it, it caught. Since then, it lights much more easily.

We returned this item as defective as it would not light consistently - pilot light would not stay lit when we used it to ignite the heater.

Little difficult to light. Heat output not as much as expected. Much better when used in small spaces.

Puts out good heat once it is lit, but that is the problem. Extremely hard to light. Need to hold button for at least 5 minutes. Can get it lit with 1 lb propane bottle after about 10 minutes of playing with it. Never have gotten it to stay on with a 20 lb tank and the adapter hose. Would never buy again - not worth the trouble

By all appearances, this is a nicely designed appliance, right down to the packaging and user guide. However, I suspect there are some manufacturing issues or a lack of robustness in the fuel delivery. The unit will light fine initially, then after 15-30 minutes, the gas will flutter, then lose heat. Twice it "popped" and blew out the pilot, leaving raw gas to pour out until the thermal valve shut it off. Customer service assured me that the problems were unusual, but after reading a number of reviews about similar problems, I will return the unit and replace it with something else.

This product looks nice, seems great on paper. In practical use, its tip over safety will randomly stick, then good luck starting it again. I have already spent a few cold nights with this thing sitting in the cold not able to start. Do not waste your money on this!

Couldn’t get to start no matter what I tried

It’s hard to start , heavy and uses 2 tanks . The tanks don’t last long .

Good heat for it's size and price. Sometimes when people walk by it the gas with pilot light flutters causing a pop sound that frightens children.

It wouldn't light, even with taking it apart. We followed the instructions exactly. We ended up returning it.

Bought it for a storage shed at our cottage. Igniter is useless. Have to light it with a bic lighter. Goes out. Hard to light. Don’t waste your money.

this product would backfire constantly right out of the box, changing tanks, filters and locations did nothing to help. The backfire is so loud that we can't use this heater.

It just would not quit flaming out! It looked great; but I had to return it as well as the carrying case and 12ft hose. Not risking another unit with fall/winter looming..

I was really skeptical of this purchase with some of the negative reviews. I decided to take the plunge anyway, if need be I could return it. With the one pound propane cylinders, it was indeed difficult to get lit. Instead of fighting with it, I used a fireplace match to light the pilot. The next day, the pilot lit without any issue. I switched to the 20lb tank and there were no problems with that, either. I think it was just that first time use - getting things moving. This is an awesome addition to our deck and screened in porch. It puts out a TON of heat, even on the lowest setting.

Don’t get caught in a pinch with it when you need heat... it may or may not light, usually will not.. mine has lit exactly twice in over two years of ownership after hundreds of tries..

The unit is not worth the money due to how hard it is to get started and if it gets bumped the flame will go out. Would not recommend this product to anyone.
