You'll love the EGO 580!
The EGO Power+ 580 CFM Blower is amazing! I can literally stand at the back of my two-car garage and blow out all of the hard to sweep dirt way beyond the threshold of our garage door. It also makes quick work of removing grass clippings from the driveway and walkways leading up to the house. A++

EGO 580 BLOWER
Throws some serious air out!!! Moves wet leaves and blows sticks without a problem. Sends it over to your neighbors yard :) Turn on the turbo to get the really stuck stuff. This thing is a monster!!! Love my EGO equipment and can’t wait to get more!

Better than a gas blower for cleaning up clippings
I spent a whole day trying to get my gas blower to start ti no avail. I already have the Ego line trimmer and use it regularly. So I already had the battery. I bought this blower and I'm very happy with it. I mainly use it after mowing and edging the lawn and this blower works great for that purpose. No more gas, oil, spark plugs, pulling and pulling. I like the turbo button for the stubborn grass clippings.

Great unit, lots of power. The only slight drawback is the size and weight of the battery pack

Completes the Trifecta of Batteries
Great option for cleaning zero-turn, drive, garage floor without firing up the cumbersome gas backpack blower. This will not replace a backpack blower for the big leaf job in the fall, but the ease of grabbing and having this much CFM at a moments notice. I bought the blower with the battery as I wanted another lighter, smaller battery for the multi-tool trimmer. The huge battery that comes with the 21" ego mower is a bit large for using as the go to for all the accessories. I just purchase the 14" ego chainsaw and love the size and weight of the smallest battery completing the ego battery trifecta. In summary this blower really blows and does not suck!

It is a very nice blower. The battery is a 5Ah and it lasts a little over an hour with the turbo button pushed in. It has a dial that you can turn to set your blower force so you don't have to hold the trigger the entire time. Very nice when you have a lot to do, or if you have your kids help out, it makes it easier for them to carry it. The charging system is fast and has a built in fan to keep the battery cool while it charges. All the batteries work with all their products. The 5 Ah batteries have a battery bar so you know the life while you are working. The 2.5 Ah has a 3 light system ( green, yellow, red ) so you know the life as well. Their Hedge Trimmer lasts for days on a 2.5 Ah fyi

Commercially tested
I mow yards five days a week commercially and this blower has stood up to the demands I need day in and day out! Have to be mindful of using the turbo only when necessary but it has plenty of power for blowing off sidewalks and driveways. Highly recommended!

I did my homework before I settled on the EGO 580. I ordered it from Home Depot online and had it delivered to my local store as the store did not carry this model in stock. Going that route was quick and easy. I have used this blower for over a month. I have blown leaves, small rocks and snow with it. It will blow light dry snow but not the heavy wet stuff. It is an easy way to clear off your vehicles in the morning as the blower is ready to go and quiet compared to a gas blower. The battery charges fast and has a built in gauge to check the level of the charge. I have a small yard and have never run out of charge with this blower. The EGO 580 blower really pushes the air, it is amazing how well it blows. I have found that it will blow the dead leaves and such out from behind the plants in my yard as well as out of the rocks where it has always been a tedious job to do this by hand. the velocity is very controllable with the finger trigger or dial. This blower has exceeded my expectations, I would recommend it to anyone who has a use for this type of tool.

Check your battery manufacture date. You are getting shorted on EGO's stated warranty time period. My battery stamp date is April 2019. This unit arrived December 2019. Nine months lost due to aging inventory by EGO. You should understand the 56v EGO battery has a very limited recharge life compared to standard 18v/20v batteries by Milwaukee and DeWalt. $350 to replace the battery. This does not include the shoulder strap. That's cheap of EGO.

Hi TechTestPilot, we sincerely apologize for any confusion. The limited warranty commences from the purchase date, not the manufacture date. Each new EGO battery comes with 1,000 charge / discharge cycles. If you'd like to speak with an EGO representative, don't hesitate to reach out any day of the week: 1-855-346-5656. egopowerplus

I gave this only 4 starts because some bozo engineer or marketing type thought it'd be cool to give it a "turbo" button which I have to constantly hold in order to match my former gas blower instead of just making the "turbo" speed the high speed which could be locked in the "on" position. This is sort of 80's throwback "turbo" button feature that we used to have on PC's was as useless as it is today as everyone left it on. The high speed is decent on the blower but seldom do I find myself not having to hold down the "turbo" button in order to get the job done effectively and fast. I will say in "turbo" mode it does the job quite well, but really, to you guys at EGO, what the blank! If I want to run down the battery that much faster in "turbo" mode, that's my prerogative! Give me the ability to lock it in "turbo" speed! On the positive side, it managed to blow off my half acre lawn with a decent amount of power to spare and without having to go to the "stop and rob" to get gas and figure out how much of that messy oil to mix. That, plus the power equal to my former gas blower, makes this a great tool. Mind you, I used my Mastercard card to by it. Why? Because my card benefits extends the warranty another year beyond the 3 year warranty, and as we all know, rechargeable batteries can crap out at anytime just like my gas blower did just a few days (13 days) outside its 3 year warranty and I have no desire to try to diagnose or fix these cheap little gas engines anymore! Also, the EGO comes in about a couple of pounds lighter than my crapped out Ryobi Jet Fan, takes up slightly less space (enough to stick vertically in my water heater closet in the garage and without worrying about it leaking gas), however, the gas blower might work twice blowing off the lawn to each fill up, whereas the battery one most likely needs to be fully recharged every time which is really not an issue, not to mention, it's fairly quick, maybe an hour, to recharge it with the included charger.

Absolutely fantastic. I was just tired of using my gas blower for the last 5 years. Even though it was serviced it was getting extremely hard to start, plus I didn't want to smell like a diesel truck stop any longer. This is just what I was looking for, power beyond belief, quiet, instant start, & best of all to me no smell. I have 2 acres of land so instead of buying a second battery I purchased the rapid charger. If the 5.0AH battery runs out completely it only takes one half hour to fully recharge. I want to add that with all the blowing I have to do, with all the junk that comes down from all of the trees in the spring, it only ran down to empty once. Also bought the shoulder strap because when you use it a long time it does become quite heavy. With the addition of the shoulder strap, I've used the blower for an one and a half hours with feeling zero weight. If you're in the market this is the one to buy. I've added a photo of a small part of what this blower has to do spring and fall.

        Convenience
After years of dragging a 100’ extension cord around the yard to clean up leaves and grass clippings, my new EGO cordless blower is a welcome relief from that task. It is especially convenient when you just need to clear off a small porch area. Getting out and putting up the blower is a “breeze.” Speaking of which, the power boost feature is great for clearing damp piles of leaves/grass after a rainstorm. This EGO blower definitely has Power Beyond Belief

Powerful. Really like the option to use trigger or always on-speed lock dial. Which you can set from lowest to turbo. My favorite setting: medium dial then use turbo button on top when needed. 2 different blower tube attachments are included, one flat and one tapered nozzle. One charge on a single 5.0Ah battery is more than enough for me to use with my Ego multi attachment edger and weed eater; then blow side walks, driveway etc. on my half acre corner lot. 3 year warranty on battery (5 year on tool). Hope it holds up, unlike battery for my old Txxx 48 volt weed eater which died within first year.

Grab it and pull the trigger! Need I say more?
Purchased 4 weeks ago. Strong enough for everyday cleanup. Too heavy for extended work without the strap (I'm 6', 210 lbs., athletic). Your 5-year old daughter could beat me arm wrestling after running this thing for 15 minutes! The durable plastic body is lightweight and well made from quality materials. The battery makes it heavy. Mind you I'm not complaining. The 5.0 mAh battery with a 3-year warranty is what make the system so appealing. The reason we buy something like this is convenience. It just does what you want when you want it to. No buying gas, priming, pulling, changing oil, changing spark plug, buying a new one when none of that works. Grab it and pull the trigger! Need I say more? While the price is premium, its construction is solid with no yet discovered weaknesses. While a bit heavy it's fairly ergonomic. Most will be happy with its performance and convenience for normal work. Best Uses include blowing: porches, patios, decks, garage, driveways, walkways, docks, landscape beds, drying the dog, removing water from windows, cars, boats and the like. Did I mention how cool it looks? Don't expect it to clear an acre of fallen leaves after a rain shower. As of June 2018, I don't know of a battery powered blower that will give you the force a 2-cycle backpack blower can. (My) EGO 580 CFM POWER+, 580 CFM, 168 Mph, 17+ (N)ewton Force Husqvarna 580BTS - 907 CFM, 179 Mph, 38.2 (N)ewton Force STIHL BR 700 - 903 CFM 173 Mph, 36.7 (N)ewton Force RedMax EBZ8500 - 916 CFM, 181 Mph, 38.9 (N)ewton Force Echo PB770-T - 761 CFM, 202 Mph, 36.2 (N)ewton Force But, if you need an instant tornado in your hand to quickly blow the bag of dog food you just spilled all over the kitchen floor out the back door before your wife sees what you've done, this baby will have you back to grilling steaks in no time flat. Get it, you'll be glad you did!

this blower is fantastic ! I just made a new modification to it to blow out gutters (I'll photo that later), but here is an image of a bracket to hang it on the wall in my garage. Thanks to everyone who has answered my questions on this product. Really closer to 4.5 stars
The Village that I live in passed a measure that banned the use of gas-powered blowers. I bought an inexpensive corded blower as an interim measure until I figured out which of the battery operated models were worth buying. As it turns out, all of the commercial yard guys working in our neighborhood ended up buying the EGO 600 CFM backpack blower. They all seem to agree that EGO makes an excellent product, which sort of made up my mind. Up to this point I had been using a 14-year old Stihl BG85 gas handheld rated at 183 mph and 459 CFM. The cheap corded Ryobi rated at 135 mph and 440 CRM actually turned out to be pretty functional, but the cord was a no go and I still needed more power than it had. Of all the EGO models, the LB5800 handheld looked to be the closest to what I was looking for as far as power, so I special ordered one. The EGO's attention to detail is pretty impressive. You can tell that they spent a considerable amount of time in its design and manufacture. Unfortunately, it has one or two design choices that make me only rate it 4.5 Stars: First problem is the Boost Button - they need to get rid of it. The Air-Speed Trigger does not give me that much power, so I end up having to hold the Boost Button almost all of the time with my thumb. Not good. The thumb is better used wrapped around the handle where it can help support the weight of the machine. Second problem is the location of the air intake. Notice that their photos show a man holding the blower slightly in front of his body. There is a reason for this, and it has to do with your clothing constantly getting sucked into the intake. In an ideal world I would want to hold the blower straight down by my side, since holding the weight of the blower away from the body gets tiring. Unfortunately, they chose a design that put the heavy battery behind the motor and air intake, rather than under it. This means that I cannot hold my arm straight down without putting the air intake right next to my clothing, which then gets constantly pulled into the intake screen. This sometimes will happen with my Stihl or the Ryobi, but not to this degree. The solution is to hold the EGO in front of you, but this just wears your arm out sooner. Now the EGO engineers might have a good reason for placing the battery behind the air intake on this axial-flow design, but right now I don't see it. The performance of the EGO 580 is quite good, and it has enough power for my needs. Still, the EGO's superior numbers don't seem to translate into raw power, especially when compared to my old Stihl. With 121 more CFM, you would think that the EGO would outperform my old machine, especially with the right nozzle design. Unfortunately, when maxed out it falls a bit short. They really did spend a lot of time on the details, and it appears to be an outstanding design. I liked it enough that I decided to get rid of all my gas machines, and invest in the EGO Power+ Multi-Head system. So far, it seems to have been a pretty good decision.

Wow!! This blower has a ton of power! The variable speed is a nice addition or you can just use the cruise control. I have the Ego 530cfm & the Ego 600 cfm backpack blower. This thing blows them both away!! You can hear the turbine fan kick in as soon as you squeeze the trigger. Sounds freakishly powerful!! The 168mph is definitely there. I blew a ton of leaves with this thing today and it amazed me. No handheld gas blower can compete with this blower.
