This air compressor provides more than enough air for my 2400 sq ft. shop. The unit is quiet and builds air fast. The delivery driver was able to back up to the shop, use his pallet jack to set the compressor where I wanted it.

I’m very much satisfied with my purchase. I researched many manufacturers and units thoroughly. Decided on Emax and am extremely satisfied with their top notch high quality product. Very quiet and its really satisfying hearing it run.

Arrived a week sooner than initial estimate at checkout. Freight hauler called well in advance to schedule delivery, and verified the need for liftgate service. Compressor is not the silent version, and I still find it very quiet for it's size and power. Much quieter than the much smaller compressor it replaces. Also no huge bulky crate to throw away, it's just bolted to a pallet. Made it easy to unpackage and put into service. Wiring diagrams in the contractor are quick and easy to understand. The oil level was already correct. Just add power, throw the switch, and it was up to full pressure in under 2 minutes. It wobbles while running more than I expected due to the massive pump internals, you really need to bolt it down before you run your air lines. You also need a good long section of flexible conduit to allow for this movement.

Awesome product! This compressor is everything they claim it is. My only surprise was that it was yellow when it arrived. After talking to Emax directly, they are no longer selling them in black in an effort to streamline production. Not a big deal, just don't get your hopes up for black.

Great air compressor so far, seems to be of good quality, nice and quiet and builds air fast. For install it only needs to be wired up. I also did four 2 inch pipe filled with stainless steel mesh for a water air separator during the humid summers. Quieter than any of my friends shop air compressors.

WOW, BEYOND EXPECTATIONS. I am extremely impressed with this compressor. I had high expectations to begin. This thing is heavy duty and I expect it to outlive me because of the quality.

Very good 80 gal compressor came with silent device is a plus , so quiet in my shop then my old compressor. The unit look bigger then my old 80gals but it take the same space due to removable silent unit...very happy.....

Ok so first off I'm going to start with a few things I was curious about during the process of purchasing this air compressor. I purchased the single phase 10 hp 80 gallon unit with the whisper 100. it came shipped in a crate standing upright and bolted to a full size pallet, not a half pallet for those wondering if a full size pallet jack may be needed.... it will be. something else I was curious about was the time it took to fill the compressor from 0 psi until it shuts off. This unit took 3 minutes and 45 second to fill from empty. I was impressed. I then slowly drained the tank to see how long it would take to refill. the computer kicked on around 125 psi and too 35 seconds until it turned off. again, impressed. for the size of this compressor I would expect it to be much louder. unit sista to be very well made and would be surprised if I ever had to buy another air compressor.

I just got the compressor set up. Compressor was shipped to the store in a large crate to protect it during shipping. Plan on having a forklift capable of lifting 1000 lbs to unload it into your shop. After I got it set up and wired to a 60 amp breaker the compressor started right up and runs extremely quietly. I have another small compressor that moves 1/10th the air that is three or four times as loud as this one. It is incredible that they can make a compressor this quiet.

If you want one of the best and quietest compressors on the market look no further. The quality of this compressor excedes all others I looked at in this price range. Emax takes building quality and quiet compressors serious. There's no job too big for a compressor like this especially in your home garage. After numerous reviews and a lot of research I ended up buying this compressor and as far as I can tell so far this should be the last one I ever buy. I will definitely recommend them to everyone I know.

I'm very impressed with the quality of this unit. When it arrived it was well protected with a crate(No Damage). After I removed the crate, and inspected the unit I was impressed to see the quality componets that were used on this air compressor. Especially for the price point of this compressor you are getting alot for the money. This is a compressor you can plan on having for a long time.

I received my EMAX compressor. It was everything that it was advertised to be. This compressor is quieter than the Craftsman that it replaced and that goes a long way for me. I can see that this compressor is designed well. I'm looking forward to years of service!

Home Depot was very helpfull in getting this compressor ordered, it was delivered as expected. The Emax compressor came in a wooden crate very well made unit compared to some of the others I looked at runs smooth and quite we are very happy with purchase also had a few guestions before installing talked to Natalie at Emax great customer service I would recommend This 5 hp 80 gal.Emax compressor to all who wants the best industry leading warranty on a compressor which most of the parts are made here in the USA.

Commpresor showed up in an awesome protective crate, absolutely perfect condition, compressor is quite, and produces plenty of air quickly. Very impressed, highly recomended.

I love this compressor! I have used it now for a few months and it does everything I need it to do. It is a little louder than I expected but at 20 feet away it really doesn't bother you while working. I went back and forth on spending less money to get a "cheap" compressor but decided to go with them for a few reasons. First I have to say that I called to complain over a year ago because I bought a this once and I ended up with a problem through Home Depot (before I picked it up) so I called Emax directly and Natalie was one of the nicest people I have ever dealt with over the phone which was the main reason I bought it from them again. Second thing is I love the look and style. Third thing was that I have painted most of my life and wanted to find a compressor that didn't build up heat and moisture and so far this has been great with very little moisture coming out of the drains (I installed a second one too). I don't regret spending more on this compressor for one second. If you look at my pictures I did add 1/2" pipe coming out and over the top to my filter on the other side.

I have had my Emax silent compressor for just about 1 year now. It is used to run the coolant and air systems on a number of CNC mills in my garage CNC shop. It sits about 8ft away from the closest mill and really is a silent as they claim. There is a sort of "bang" when it starts and it has made me jump once or twice, but it is super silent (measured at 68dBA right next to the unit while running) just as claimed. It is easy to have a normal conversation in the shop while it is running. Stepping outside, it can only JUST be heard through the garage door. Our shop AC unit makes more noises (normal AC noise levels) than the Emax does through the thin metal garage door. My neighbors have no clue I am milling at 3am. With the inner garage door closed, you can not hear it at all inside, which of course makes my wife VERY happy late at night. It does take #4 wire to run the power (if under a 100' run. #3 if over 100'), so make sure you have that in place with a 60A breaker, so make sure you have those in place and ready to go. The compressor runs about 5-6 days a week for 12+ hour days and often over night also. Some of the larger mill runs can be 12+ hours (it only cycles once every 5-10 minutes and only runs for 1-2 minutes when it does on a single mill) It does produce a large amount of air at the stated pressure and has been a total joy to use. I now run 4 CNC mills off of it and it still has no issues at all keeping up. I suggest installing an auto drain to make sure it stays well drained, also be sure to change your oil as suggested, they are pretty strict about it in the manual for warranty sake. There really is no way to compare this to a "normal" heavy duty compressor. While they might cost less upfront, The lack of noise from the Emax is worth every single penny and it is built to top notch quality. When we outgrow this one, we plan to stay with Emax and move to their rotary screw compressors. Every day when I walk out into the shop and see it in the corner, I am reminded of how great of a compressor it is and how glad I am I made the purchase. As a small business owner, I know this is not a small purchase for many folks (myself included). But this is one of those purchases that was right on the money and has lived up to all expectations and more. My Emax is a source of pride, a great tool that does it's job and does it REALLY well. Without my Emax, I could never run my small CNC shop at home without bothering my neighbors.

I am very happy with this compressor. It's quieter than my old Craftsman and has much more capacity and power. It's the best bang for the buck.

This product should be what is offered in store. Anyone can buy a cheap compressor from Harbor Freight or Tractor Supply. Even the Husky compressor is lacking in quality. One thing that stands out about this compressor is it is very quiet. I have a small shop and can still have a normal conversation standing next to the compressor while it is running. I would highly recommend this product to anyone.

Purchased this compressor from Home Depot and had them deliver to me. Best Compressor that I have owned. First off it came crated in its own wooded case very very nice! Got it hooked up unbelievably quiet. Very fast from 0-175psi. Its the Cadillac of air compressors no doubt, Thak You Home Depot and E Max Air.

This emax compressor seems to be a very well built commercial compressor it is very heavy with large commercial 7.5 hp motor and cast iron 3 cylinder pump, it runs at a low rpm and very quiet for a compressor this size with the way the air filter is designed, it has. Good cfm rating and recovers very quickly, in my opinion this is by far the best bang for the buck !!! And made in USA

Received early, pickup and wired up. Runs great. Called to register, this process went smooth. Signed up for all maintenance required parts to be sent to me. Noise level is low while running. I would recommend this compressor.

I never received it. Terrible status updates and shipping. No contact from shipper. I got a text saying order delivered. Except it hadn't been delivered to me. Estes said they handed it to a 3rd party delivery and they had delivered it to my address and had a picture of it in front of my gray house. My house is red brick. Also why didn't they call me? They said Home Depot doesn’t require they call. They mixed up Ave for ST on gps. It was Friday. They couldn't pick it up and deliver until Monday.

This is the best purchase i made , this compressor is nice and quite and delivers the pressure we need every time Really recommend this brand to anybody
