Blocks out sun during the day. Also blocks any light from inside the house at night, cannot see anyone inside the house at night. Noticed it is warmer in the house too!

The curtains are gorgeous. They're not exactly blackout, there's still a bit of light coming through (which it says so on the package). They do keep the heat out which has been a wonderful perk.

It should never be marketed as blackout. This was the most important quality I was seeking in curtains. These are not blackout at all. If you aren’t buying for this purpose, the curtains are OK, but a little too lightweight.

The curtain panel had a slight flaw in it; however, four panels ordered from another store ended up with major flaws.
