I purchased this and had a plumber install it. It didnt work but the plumber installed it properly. Talked with the factory and I had to test it.. Found out it was the motherboard, which was eemax's fault and issue yet they won't reimburse the plumber so I paid a plumber to install this unit twice. GARBAGE SERVICE FROM EEMAX GARBAGE PRODUCT> The 2nd one lasted 6months which they would not warrant without a reason. Pretty much just would not talk with us...

Started spewing rusting water within 6 months. After three years started leaking. Disconnected lines looked almost totally plugged with black rust. Mostly made with galvanized and/or iron, susceptible to rust (see above for proof). Need to get a tank with a glass or stainless liner and stainless or brass connections and lines. Maybe a marine unit. Sure it will cost more, or you can by these Eemax junk boxes and end up flooding yer house or at least repairing/replacing the cabinet it sets under. Tired of having to buy junk. What ever happened to high quality American products????????

For such a small water heater, it requires an electrical supply wire size that one would typically never find in a residence. Houses are currently having 14/2 wire installed and this water heater requires 10ga wire. Hence, we had to return the water heater to Home Depot and find one that would work with our electrical system.

Have several of these installed and no problems whatsoever. Works as intended and will continue to use these. They come with an aerator to replace the one on your faucet to cut the flow of water down to .5 gpm for hotter water if your current one flows to fast. My oldest one has been in service now for approx 6 years and still going strong. Will continue to use this product.

Works ok for hand washing, but keep a spare element handy!
This is my third Eemax water heater. It's used under a bathroom sink and aside from the restricted flow of the water and the 'all or nothing' type of heating you get it's ok. The first one didn't make it through my office's initial construction so I'm not sure if it ever worked. The second one lasted about 4 years, but seemed to go through elements about every 6 months until recently when it actually exploded under the sink. I'm guessing the element burned out and it must have shorted the wiring when the plastic tubes burst and let the water shoot out? It was a giant mess of smoke, soot, broken plastic and of course water streaming out from under the sink. I'm hoping that with a monthly reminder to clean out the faucet attachment, which seems to catch all sorts of sediment, and having a spare element on hand this one will last at least as long.

        Slick Little Heater
This has to be the smallest little insta hot water heater I have seen, Very sceptical at first as far as performance... works like a dream.. instant hot water , takes up very little space , runs of a single pole 20 amp breaker... very happy with its performance

Point of Use Hot Water Heater
Very good for my particular needs. Used for a sink in my work shop. Only downside is the lack of a temperature control. Temp is adjusted by adjusting the outlet valve. Not a deal breaker for me. The plus side is that I'm not constantly heating a storage tank.

        Returning
As long as you want a dribble of water it stays really hot, once you turn up the flow it goes cold. It should work well if you were using it with a hot water tank but not by its self. Returning.

        Works in temporary building
Had to run heavier 10 gauge wire. Low volume, but enough to wash dishes.
