Product didn't match packaging
The basic 4 inch mending plate is OK. My issue is that package said 2 of them and I received one 4 inch mending plate and the other was a 3 inch mending plate. The mending plate itself is a good one I have used several times before. To have the screws included is good. You might need longer screws for your particular project. Just check the package before you leave the store to make sure you have what it says it is.

Substantial and well made
This 6" mending plate comes with 4 screws for mounting. The screws fit nice and flush with the holes in the mending plate. It is recommended (and much easier) to drill 7/16"th pilot holes prior to screwing in the screws. The black finish is substantial and appears to be highly resistant to chipping or otherwise showing age. The thickness of the plate is thick enough to take substantial force without deforming. All in all a fine piece of hardware to have on hand.

Connects your wood
These will do the job for various applications where you want to connect one piece of wood to another piece of wood. As the plate is galvanized, it should stand up to the elements for at least a little while. The screws don't seem to be galvanized though, and are of a somewhat soft material so go a bit easy with the screwdriver. The plate itself could be a bit more rigid--it flexes pretty easily, and I definitely wouldn't want to use this in an application where you need real structural integrity. But for a quick fix for a fence or something, it's just fine.

Handing to have for additional support.
I like the Everbilt 6 inch mending plate which can be used for a variety of projects. The plates are countersunk for flush mounting of the screws the also accompany the them. The galvanized coating also provides good protection when used in an outdoor or damp location where weather may play a factor. If you have a project where additional support or reinforcement is required then this will fill the need.

Decent Quality Mending Plate
This is a decently made, all-metal mending plate that can be used to butt joint together two pieces of wood, plastic, or similar material. The screws and plates are galvanized so they should be suitable for outdoor use. The galvanizing feels like a textured surface and is rather smooth rather than chalky etc. Screws are a bit small but should be acceptable for most light-duty applications.

Nice finish on the black mending plate.
Nice finish on the black mending plate. I am always looking for black to go with my home instead of the other finishes, so I am happy with it. I am also excited that the screws are black to give it a finished look if any of it is exposed. It is well made with straight edges. This is a very easy install, straight forward if you have some DIY experience.

Adequate
These Everbilt, 4 inch, galvanized mending plates are adequate for smaller repair jobs. This is a two-pack and includes mounting screws. The plates themselves are fairly sturdy and should hold up well for the intended use. The screws are the weak point...the heads strip easily so be prepared to be gentle with them or replace them with better screws.

Adequate
It's pretty hard to get these wrong. These Everbilt, 6", galvanized mending plates are handy for lots of things. This is a two-pack and includes enough screws for mounting both plates. The screws are the weak points. The heads strip easily. Aside from that, the plates themselves are fairly sturdy and serviceable. I used them for securing wire fencing around animal pens.

So many useful purposes
I had large cabinet doors with magnetic latches but no “catch plates”. These mending plates fit the need nicely and quickly. They served me very well for the task at hand and yet another option for the mending plates. I like the beveling edge in the mending plates to hold the screws flush to the surface. The Phillips screw head takes a #2 Phillips bit and holds it very tightly with no tendency to put the bit out of the screw. The threading on the screws are clean and coarse with an exceptional bite into the wood.

Versatile
Nice little mending plate. Comes galvanized for corrosion resistance and also #6 phillips drive bugle head wood screw. These work well for simple light duy repairs. I butt joined two 2x4s with two plates, one on each side. I cantilevered the mended piece and then leaned on the end. The plates started to bend. I weigh around 200lbs and dod not lean very much, definitely not all the way. I was able to bend the piece back by putting it in a vice and pulling on it with my hand. These are very strong, but great for light repairs. I ended up using them to hold fans in my smoker canopy.

Ok but is it practical?
Overall finish is great. Material is good. Hardware is uh, meh. But when all is said and done.. if your project is ready for a quality piece of finishing hardware, are you really going to go for a mending plate over joinery? I’d hope not. But, this could instead be a good accent to a piece with similar hardware installed, and could look pretty sharp.

Handy to keep around
I always keep these in my cabinet. They come in so handy for mending or repairing household items. I just used one to join my railings that go upstairs. Takes under 5 minutes to make the two railings join underneath and work likeone. Sturdy metal with a glossy black finish. I've even used these to fix a wooden picture frame in the past. Great product to keep around the house. So many uses.

Excellent choice
I was very happy with these. Well made, very solid and came with matching screws, I used them to connect 2 pieces of laminate boards and was pleased that the screws were short enough that they did not penetrate through the back side of the boards. The mending plates also have a countersink in them so the screw head do not stick out above the top of the plate.

Heavy duty mending great for joining or bracing.
Very sturdy mending plates. These plates that can be used as support or to join different articles together. I needed to join and brace up two 2x4’s that will be used under my workbench see picture. These are heavy duty mending plates that offer great support for joining or bracing. They are easy to install, all you have to do is drill pilot holes and screw down. Great product if you need added support.

Multi-use 4 Hole Straps
I use these type straps for lots of times when holding 2 pieces of wood together. I strap 2 hive bodies together to transport them. It makes them much easier to move. I also use them to tie swarm traps to the bottom boards. I made a decorative 4 board frame and these matter black straps look very good holding the boards together. They are good quality and hold very well. I keep several sets of these straps on hand. Very nice looking!

Well Built Mending Plate
The Overbuilt Galvanized Mending Plate is 6 inches in length by 1 1/16 inches wide and 1/16" thick. It comes with galvanized screws that are 3/4" long. The screws require a 7/64" drill if installing in metal and the screws should be installed at an angle away from the joint. I think these are excellent mending plates and they can be pained to match whatever you are repairing. I used these to repair a fiberglass storm door that broke at the joints. They held very well and are hardly noticeable since I painted them to match the door.

Great little strengtheners
The Everbilt 3 in. Black Mending Plate (4-Pack) are simple but strong. They work really well for strengthening joints, fixing places that might need support, or even just for added decorative purposes. The manufacturer has everything conveniently in the package, they include the screws in a sealed bag so they stay contained just in case the package got ripped. I experimented to see how well it would work to make a butt joint, and it made a nice tight joint. I’m sure it has a lot of handy uses around the house.

Good product for those hard-to-fix projects
These galvanized mending plates are well made. The holes to mount the screws are also recessed so the screws will not interfere with your build. Because they are galvanized, they will stand up to weather exposure. I have used this brand before, many times. They have always held up and never failed. Although, I have never used a galvanized ones, the Chrome plated ones have held up to weather exposure so the galvanized ones would be even better. They appear to be well made and, based on the ability to set it on its side, are also manufactured to good, exacting standards.

Great For Mending or Reinforcing
I've used Everbilt mending plates off and on for years. They stand up to stress and strain well enough, but may need countersunk bolts instead of wood screws, depending on your purpose and strength required. These 4-pack plates are black powder coated steel, 3 gauge (.229 inch thick), and come with counter sink wood screws. Great for mending or reinforcing wood or metal construction projects.

Small satin brass mending strap
This is a handy little mending plate package. Two plates and 4 screws in the package. I'm sure it will come in handy sometime in the future. It is an attractive satin brass color. There are times when these items come in handy to fasten two items together at a joint. It is always convenient to have these on hand. I have a small parts drawer with various sizes and styles of mending plate. Better to have on hand instead of running to the store to get one during a project.

It's ok
I am not sure how to write a review about a piece of simple hardware but here goes.......... These are galvanized but I don't think the included screws are galvanized, maybe just zinc plated. The holes are countersunk on one side for use with flat head screws. The plates are straight and free of defects. They are about 1/16" thick, maybe just over.

Looks great!
This is straight forward to install. It has a nice finish which makes your project look great. It also works as intended. It’s about 1/8 thick and feels sturdy. I used it to connect two slabs I made out of scrap wood. They weren’t quick level so I used a clamp to make them even. I then secured them in place using this mending plate. The screws are included in this packet.

Solid repair!
Everbilt 2 in. Satin Brass Mending Plate (4-Pack) - did exactly what it's intended for!! I used this to repair a chair that had split. After re-gluing and clamping, I screwed the mending plate, using the 3/4 inch screws provided, to each side of the split. This provided a solid repair that made our chair usable again. I will use these mending plates for another project. Dimensions: 2" long, 5/8" wide, 1/16" thick. Imported.

They have a countersunk design which allows the screws to sit flush with the wood pieces. They are easy to install and work great for holding the wood pieces together. I built a small table and placed flat wood in an X shape between the legs for support and used the brackets to help hold the wood pieces in place. They worked great.

Very handy to have around.
I have used several of Everbilt products to repair various household items, both wood and metal. I like to have a couple of their products around because they are really handy to have in a pinch. Use the enclosed flat-head screws to take advantage of the countersunk screw holes. If you drill pilot holes, it's very easy to install. It's made of steel, but I would be a little leery of using it to secure very heavy pieces, especially with the enclosed short screws.

Easy to Install
I got this mending plate to reinforce the hinge side of a wall where the stud attaches to the bottom plate. The plate comes with four countersink screws that go into pre-drilled countersunk holes so installation just required my screw gun. The plate is solid steel and the screws are good quality. This installation provides added strength to the double studs that support the butt hinge side of the door.
