This is a great secondary miter saw. I cut ten 6" steel guardrail posts and couldn't be happier with the results. Cutting these posts did dull the steel cutting blade that I used but I don't think I could have done the same thing with an abrasive wheel. I'll mention that my saw has a reversible bushing that allows 5/8 inch arbor blades to be used on this saw. If your looking for a precision piece of equipment then this is not your saw. but this makes for a great jobsite saw that also cuts steel with the proper blade.

Have only used it to cut 3/16 inch angle iron on a miter and has performed as expected. Have purchased the higher grade steel blade to use and the cuts all seem very clean.

Oh good golly, where to start? I wish I could have seen this in a store up close. I most likely would have passed it up. This thing is at Harbor Freight's level of tool. #1 it's going back unused. I put this together and as I was doing so I realized most of it is made of inferior materials. I could not bear to run it. #2 It's flimsy. While it was sitting in bevel mode I leaned on it slightly and watched it move a 1/4" or so. It's very easy to lean either direction without much pressure. This is no precision machine and the base could've been built a little stronger. I also understood it's only $200 but seriously, there are many other machines in the same price bracket built better. The saw is cheezie. The material hold down is a joke. Waste of time repacking it and it's going soon as. Sad part is the inexperienced will be amazed by its cutting and whatnot. The other 1 star reviewers hit it spot on. Don't expect miracles.

Perfect cuts right out of the box...

The Rage 3 saw is excellent for what it is and for what it can do. You have to remember it's a $200.00 dollar saw are there better quality saws out there yes ,but not for that price. Evolution power tools customer service is top notch. two thumbs up

Very easy and powerful machine my job is now more efficient

Easy to set up. Cuts through metal with ease. The slow start delay takes some getting used to.

Everything was as advertised. Assembly was a snap. The power is amazing. I couldn't be more pleased. Thank you for an excellent product.

Aside from the slow start, it is a very accurate saw. Haven't tried it on metal yet.

This saw cuts steel,alum and brass with ease and no sparks when cutting steel. It is a chop saw and a sliding compound mitre saw all in one. It will also cut wood. When cutting metal the metal does not get hot. The only thing that takes getting used to is the soft start. You pull the trigger and the saw starts slowly and comes up to speed. The speed is less than most chop and abrasive saws. Where has this saw been. It is super.

This product has meet my expectations. Having this saw which cuts wood, alloy or steel and optional blades for stainless or cement, has enabled me to get get rid off two other hardly used tools those being an abrasive chop saw and tile saw. The lower blade speed also cuts down on feedback. Also feel safer using this saw than others. Product is not carried in stores. Has lower price and more features.

Was confused at first because what arrived did not match picture on website, but evolution explained that HD was using old picture. The latest model does not have split fence on left side, it is one piece. No Rage3 stickers either. Watch video for assembly. Works on wood, 1" angle steel, and tile.

Works great

Good saw. Assembly not a problem. Only problem I have is the blade does not last long cutting steel. I made a dozen cuts in 3/16 steel and the blade is dull. Yes, I followed the suggestions in the manual. At better than 3.00 per cut, that gets expensive fast. Short blade life disclaimer needed.

CORD HAD A SHORT, HAD TO CHANGE OUT DAY ONE. Blade is said to make over 200 cutscuts,mine was done cutting at 32 cuts on 1/2 inch round stock. Very disappointed. Wouldn't recomend
