Whole House Filters
We have city water, but when tested, the only thing good about it was that it was not hard. You could smell chlorine in the water, and if in a white mug, the water had a yellow tinge. After much research, I settled on this system. It was delivered fast. I like that we can change to different type of filters on this system. I installed myself in only a few hours. The photo shows after only one week all the crud and dirt. The filter was "snow white" and now is dingy. Highly recommend.

Gauges not working - replace degraded grommets!
If the gauges are not working its due to 1of 2issues: You over tighten the gauge and mashed the gromet until it closed off the pipe, ONLY hand tighten - don't use a wrench. or degraded grommets! (there are 2 in each hole) In my case the issue was b. The rubber grommets had dry rotted and was falling apart. Picked up a pack of 13/32 "000 flat washers". Pulled out the old ones with needle nose pliers, them put 2 in each hole. Tripple wrap Teflon, hand tight, now works like a champ.

Very big different in taste of water. Was underestimating the affect of the quality although we had a chlorine taste in the water, but after installing this it was an enormous difference.

          Great System
Installed this unit 2 weeks ago and I am amazed by the quality of my water. I am using this on a water well. I also installed an ISPRING WSP500ARJ spin down filter to filter out sand and particles before the home filter system. Great system.

          Great Filter System !
Filter arrived in perfect condition packaged very well for sure. Made a solid wood stand for it as I didn't want to be on floor to replace filters also made an easier installation. Total time for installation about three hours I had no leak problems at all. All three gauges work perfectly I like having those for system monitoring I also added a 50 Micron Spin Down filter on the inlet side. Prior to installing the filter system, I could not drink our tap water it tasted like dirt not anymore!

            Junk
Bought this unit from Homedepot. Just paid it off using my Homedepot credit. About 4 months old. Now the gauge is leaking. The furthest gauge at the outlet end. Took it out and re applied Teflon tape and still leaking. The housing must have a hair line crack. What a joke this company is, now i have a wall to repair/replace for 500 bucks. Thanks

              Express Heavy Metals Filters
Works like a champ. Put my water softener ahead of the filter system and the finished water is great. I put mine together using PEX stick tubing and Uponor fittings. Made for a very neat job.

                Great Product
I just installed this device an hour ago. The gauges are functioning as explained in the instructions. I have a 500 foot well with 380 ft, 6 inch well casing. I have lived in this house for 18 years and have fought with rust from the pipe the entire time. I enclosed before and after pictures so you can see for yourself what I was using. The filters lasted for about 2 months on the old one and then the yellow discoloring in the tubs, showers and toilets would begin. I am glad I chose the Express water system. I used PEX tubing and shark bites to make the connections. It was a bit more spendy, though as a DIY'r, it was easy. I would recommend this product to anyone who is having water issues.

Unit showed up well packaged. I ordered the Scale filer to replace the GAC filter. We’re on city water that in insanely hard and leaves behind nasty white scale everywhere. I tied it in to my PEX system before my softener and on demand water heater. Within a week, the sediment filter turned brown. Water pressure didn’t drop and so far still working great. No leaks, no issues.

                      Awesome setup
Purchased this unit to remove scale, build-up and taste of our city water. The installation is easy for an above average DIYer with plumbing and pipe sweating ability. Been about a week and already seeing, feeling and tasting the difference.

Game-changer in our house on well water!
I've had this installed for two weeks now. I'm including photos of it when it was new, the plumbing I created for it with the bypass piping, and now two weeks later. You can see for yourself that the sediment filter has done an incredible job at stopping sediment from getting into our house! Some background: We live in a coastal area that's (for all intents and purposes) former farmland built on swamp. When our well was sunk 20 years ago, they found a "good" aquifer for it and the water was "as good as it could get". However, the water is full of iron, sediment, and most irritatingly, sulfur. We have an expensive system that we lease that includes a water softener and a carbon filter that's supposed to get our water to be "as good as it can get" but even with that, it still tasted bad and the smell was really awful. I installed a couple of Kube filters under the kitchen sink and the master bathroom sink, so that water tasted okay...but when I tried water out of one of the other bathrooms while doing some renovation work, it was undrinkable. Long story short, they stopped selling Kube filters so I had to find something else because our water was nothing short of nasty. The company that installed our water softener and carbon filter priced out a whole-home reverse osmosis system for us and that was $15k. I was almost tempted to go down that road, but that's a hefty price to pay, for certain. I researched around and came across this system here on the Home Depot website. It was inexpensive and I needed something...so I decided to give it a shot. My first impression is that this was a quality unit. Seriously. The metalwork is first-rate and it's very well put together. I've worked in industrial environments most of my adult working life and this is something I'd see in a lab or a heavy-duty facility. It's really well made, and I was really impressed by just that right off the bat. It took me about four hours to install the system (I had to build a 2x4 frame for it so it could be in-line with the water from the carbon filter to the house and be above the pressure switch for our well. I used pex for all of the piping and connections and aside from being heavy and having to work in cramped quarters, I was able to get it done by myself (and I'm not a professional plumber, just someone handy with tools). I followed the instructions for start-up and it seemed to work a-okay right from the start. In the two weeks that we've had it, we've noticed a dramatic difference in our house water. It's now drinkable from any tap and THE SMELL IS GONE. Yes folks, that nasty sulfur rotten-egg smell that so many people on wells have...it's GONE. Not only that, it's crazy the amount of sediment that the filter catches, and this is after going through the water softener and carbon filter...and it's still nasty. You can see how dark the sediment filter is just from two weeks of use. I'm planning on changing out the filters every six months at the maximum because it's doing a far better job catching stuff than anything else we have. As far as water pressure, it didn't change that at all. I read some reviews where people had a massive drop in water pressure, but I haven't seen that at all. In fact, if anything, the water pressure is better (don't know how...maybe my imagination...but it definitely hasn't gone down). Overall, I'm really, really pleased with this system. It's a fraction of the cost of a whole-home RO system and our water is what we used to have back when we lived "in town" on city water. I will recommend this system to my neighbors who are having the same issues because I'm that happy with it. If you're thinking about buying it...just do it. You won't regret it (and no, I have no association with the company nor am I being paid or compensated for this review...it's just a system that really WORKS!)

                            Easy Install
I’m still lesss than 24 hours after the install so I’ll update if anything changes. Install was pretty simple. Just make sure you follow instructions and don’t solder close to the plastic fittings. It’s definitely making a difference in taste and smell. FYI the first filter is white. Less than 24 hours and mine is brown

When I was looking for a filter system and shopped around and found this system and reviewed the features and it was what I was looking for, I live in the country and on a well with sulfur smell and since I installed it in the beginning of February it has made my water softer and has taken out the smell of the sulfur. And in 1 month time the clear canister with the white filter is now completely black that is telling it working. The gauges are top notch oil filled best on the market. I would recommend this filter system to anybody that has bad water from a drilled well.

I like it a lot. The water in my house smelled chlorine that after shower my sinuses where so inflamed that I never had anything experienced like that and I don't have problems with my sinuses. Taking bath was almost impossible as the chlorine was smelled in the entire house even with our airvet taking that bathroom air out that did not help. However in the summer we did not feel it as much as the bathroom window is always open but in the winter; you know. This filtering system eliminated all of that so you cannot smell the chlorine and no sinuses problems. I like it a lot. Let see how long those filters less. Also, I have to install pressure regulator as the pressure was too high in my house. Another thing just came to me. Use ether plumbers paste or teflon tape or both, and I say don't be cheap with putting on your fittings connecting to the filter system. I did not do that and need to take all a part. They say I think in the instruction not to use teflon tape but if you don't it will leak 99.9%. After re-doing all over again with teflon tape it worked perfectly. Someone may ask I said teflon past and tape but I did not use both. Yes, I did not but that was my second option if my tape wouldn't be enough as many times just leaked and I was like what's going on, and trust me I used a lot, and water was pouring out. When I put almost that thread were even like pipe (covered) then it worked. I used brass fittings and it seems like they have really sharp threats so they where cutting throughout the teflon tape and did not provide good seal with the plastic threaded holes (housings) inside the filter system. I think that paste would be better or both paste and then over that tape but I did not try that so that is unknown. Other then that everything works really nice.

I installed this water filter to my private shallow well and so far has performed as advertised. Definitely would recommend for hard water filtration, has removed iron color and staining I was experiencing prior to installation. Also installed an I-spring prefilter to try to extend filter life, time will tell.

So far Express Water 3 stage Anit-Scale Water Filter system has been a good fit for our family. We are on municipal water and up until we bought this system, we have a 1 stag particulate filter system...it helped -though I was surprise how yellow it would be in 2-3 months- but we still had a ton of scaling problems on our fauscets...so I step it up with this 3 stage anti-scaling unit. My neighbors have those units that cost $$$$$ and take up half of there garage but I just needed a system that help produce safe calcium free and clean drinking water.

                              Leaky
I purchased this product from HomeDepot in June of 2020 (my house has lead pipe). I had the unit professionally installed by a licenced plumber, and it the center filter began leaking immediately. The plumber swapped the filter housings around to isolate where the leak was coming from (e.g. the filter housing or the body) - the leak was coming from the body. The ExpressWater documentation ask that you contact them first if there are any issues, so I did. They asked me to perform the same test that the plumber already did to isolate the source of the leak. ExpressWater then sent me a new o-ring kit. I installed the o-rings and the leak was still there. Express filter then sent me a new filter housing, and an entire new set of filters. It still leaked - I was sending them images and even a video of the leak too. ExpressWater then sent me an RMA tag in August 2020, so I cut the filter out the plumbing system, boxed it up and returned it to their facility in California. ExpressWater agreed to send me a replacement, and promptly sent me another set of filter cartridges instead! - I now have three complete set of filters, enough to filter 3,000,000 gallons of water! I contact them again with pictures, and got an entirely new filter which was installed today (October 2020). It leaks too. I've had enough, I've spent $1,300 on this project so far with nothing to show for it, and I am going to return the filter to HD and try to recoup some at least some of my money.

                                Perfect for a Condo
I purchased this system for my townhouse style condo and it works great. My area has seen an increase in lead so I installed the system to be on the safe side. When friends and family come over they say they can taste the difference in the water. Happy I purchased and replacing the filters is also not so bad. I'd recommend.

I had my licensed plumber install it and he said it looked like a really good filter and was easy to install. Since installation I have removed my faucet filter and the water is exceptional right out of the tap. I have the anti scale model and I noticed the difference immediately. Everything was scaling, but now there is just fresh water and no scale. I have well water and I couldn't believe the size of the particles that were in my water and now being caught by the filter.
