They need to recess the vertical internal stringers on two side to allow it to slide over the Simpson strong ties/screws that put a 4x4 vertical. I ended up carving away the internal stringers about halfway in, about 3" into the pole to get it to slide over the post support. Great product other than that oversight.

Cap and collar were hard plastic and seemed likely to crack. The post was OK but the black exterior was a thin veneer and likely to be scratched. I thought the post would be made of black extruded resin resistant to scratching.

Several of the Caps were broke upon opening!

Was nervous buying this because it was not at my store so I went ahead with sight unseen. Once they arrived, I opened one immediately and was very impressed as it looked really nice. My contractor, who is installing the decks, said they look great. They are almost all in and look fantastic. We are using stainless steel wire railings that drill in with ease. I am not using the caps, but not because I do not like them, I decided to cap with mahogany bar top. Very satisfied with the product and the price.

They look great on the wood posts, no more painting. I had to cut the topper and skirt piece on post next to house, use a jigsaw so it doesn't break.

After installing the post jacket over the 4”x4” post it was real sloppy and required an additional 3” deck screw to stop the jacket from moving back and forth. The design should have better tolerances for sleeping onto a 4”x4” post. Thank you.

The interior diameter is larger than 4×4, so they fit pretty sloppily with rails. Otherwise they are just as advertised. Material is more plastic than composite.

Nice looking, simple to install. Easy to trim to height. Packaged well and quick delivery.

The posts are great looking and would work perfectly for a typical railing system. I was installing a cable rail system and the center fins vertically inside the rail sleeve made it nearly impossible to string the cables through the sleeves. Otherwise they are GREAT.

Nice product and I like the fact that it comes as a complete kit. Minor issue is that it is a real mess when unpacking. All the cuttings/shavings from the length cutting at the factory are contained in the plastic post wrapping.
