This is a great looking remote controlled indoor ceiling fan light for any room in the home. We installed it in the master bedroom in our cabin where we have 8’ ceilings and it works much better than a conventional 52” ceiling fan would with the low ceiling clearance. The fan comes with a remote control which makes selecting the three fan speeds very simple. We mounted the remote control on the wall next to the bedroom light switches so we can use it as the main bedroom light. The light button on the remote is also luminous which makes it easier to see when walking into a darkened room. The remote even comes with a wall mounting bracket. When in operation, the fan blade and motor are very quiet and there is little or no wobbling in the fan, even when on full speed. When changing between speeds on the remote control, the fan slows down a little and there is a momentary wobble during this phase but it is minor. The supplied LED vintage style light bulbs are rated at 7 Watts and use a conventional screw in fitting. You don’t have to replace the bulbs with LED bulbs however the total combined wattage of the light bulbs is limited to 190 Watts (controlled by the current limiter) so you could use three 60 Watts conventional bulbs. One of the LED bulbs was damaged out of the box and had a small piece of glass missing however since it is an LED bulb the light still works fine. It is possible to remove and replace the light bulbs by hand without needing to remove the lower part of the fan cage. Unfortunately the LED bulbs are not dimmable and the lights are either on or off and cannot be used with a dimmer switch. We didn’t have a ceiling light previously as the ceiling beams are exposed. We were able to attach the fan mounting to the tongue and groove wood ceiling directly and then ran a power wire around the ceiling beams from an adjacent wall light fitting that we weren’t using. We made a small notch in the fan bracket cover so it would fit over the power wiring. The remote control makes this fan/light perfect for our needs since the fan is always switched to ‘on’ from the wall socket switch and we can switch it on and off with the remote control. As standard, the fan is a dark brown/bronze color however my wife wanted to customize it and create a more weathered/antique bronze look. She took some Spearmint colored acrylic craft paint and dabbed it onto the fan so if you look at the pictures in this review, that is why it’s greenish tint looks different to the ‘out of the box’ dark bronze pictures on the Home Depot product webpage. Installation was actually a little more complex than other fans I have worked on. In addition to the remote control receiver module which slides into the hanger bracket, there are also two small electrical boxes pre-attached to the receiver module. One is silver metal and is the ‘current limiter’ while the second is a black plastic box which is the ‘filter’. Unfortunately it doesn’t actually explain which is which anywhere in the manual so when you get to the point where you connect the wiring, you have to follow the diagram in the manual to work all this out. It also helps to have some wire cutters handy since the supplied wiring is quite long and it fits into the hanger bracket canopy a lot more easily if they are shortened. During installation I also shortened the 6” down rod that was included with the fan light. I cut 2” off the end with a pipe cutter and then re-drilled the holes for the mounting pin. The reason I did this was because the ceiling clearance in our bedroom was only 8’ and we wanted the maximum clearance possible over the bed. The remote control has a useful feature if you need to change the frequency (if you have other remote fans in the house that are set to the same frequency as this one). You simply change the dip switches on the remote control and the fan will ‘learn’ the new setting which avoids having to get up the ladder and change the dip switches on the fan’s remote receiver. The fan can be cleaned with a soft cloth and comes with a three year warranty.

I had been looking for the perfect fan/light combination for our kitchen at the beach when I noticed this. This fan had the style I was looking for. The fan is hand worked iron, solidly built, modern, sleek, really moves the air (3 speeds), has a remote and holder (perfect for high ceilings) and provides light. Since the kitchen has high ceilings, the remote was a requirement. I needed air flow but not direct air blowing while cooking, cooling off the food or blowing dust. This was the perfect solution. Installation was fairly easy, it was very Helpful that the Wires were Labeled (see pictures). This saved a large amount of time during installation. It has a 6 inch down-rod, 3 plastic well made blades, 3-60 watt LED bulbs included, 3 speed control remote, hand worked iron with an attractive aged bronze finish. The only design change would be a larger cap to hold all the wiring, not much larger, but it was difficult putting all the wires and transmitter underneath. It is recommended for a small room. The fan is lovely and really adds a unique style and character. I'm very pleased!

The fans are perfect for the vibe I was going for in my living room. Did not want a traditional paddle fan. This fan hit the mark. However, it is SO LOUD. I asked the dept. guy at our local HD if there was a fix and unfortunately it is a side effect of the design...the cage rattles. Took my husband a while to install and troubleshoot the settings as the remote was also affecting our kitchen fan. So we will not be taking them down anytime soon. Just cannot have fans on while watching tv, have company over, etc.

This combination fan/light is gorgeous! The fan is powerful and cools the room nicely. We love it.

Love this fan! Bought 2 of them for our master bathroom. Works PERFECT!

Somewhat easy to install very heavy . The fan is awesome tho you have to run on high on low or it vibrates and his light. Lights are to bright had to change them . Does not look good in a small bedroom needs to be in big area with tall ceiling you will hit your head if installed on 8 ft ceiling .

This is a very cool ceiling fan! Even our installer was impressed. The fan is quite powerful and I love the look. It looks fantastic in our new "farm house" kitchen.

A true classic ceiling fan with all the bells & whistles. I love the beautiful warm bronze finish, and most of all, the overall design. The fan includes 3 vintage style LED bulbs that provide a very warm ambient element to your favorite rooms.  I love antique looking fixtures, and this lighting fixture encompasses everything I could wish for. The quality of workmanship, and attention to detail is obvious in the finished product. My neighbor loves it so much she plans to purchase one for herself.  A longer down rod would also be desirable, but that could be easily modified.  A nice feature is the hand held remote control that helps manage all 3 speeds for fan control. Again, I love the style, and it really brings back memories of years gone by.
