[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I actually loved this more than I thought I would. First I loved how light weight and compact it is. It’s perfect for camping, keeping in a vehicle and day to day tasks around the house. The edge retention is pretty solid, and the plastic sheath is sturdy and practical. As for the feel of the X7, the rubberized handle and overall handle retention is better than most hatchets I've used. The rubberized handle also reduces shock while adding overall grip, so if you have smaller hands it’s also fairly comfortable. Definitely recommend!

It does seem very durable,and like it would perform well and is very versatile. I like the safety feature and the handle is very comfortable.

Let me tell you, this beauty is versatile for most wood! It’s PERFECTLY balanced and is beyond lightweight! The wedge is sharp and the entire hatchet is STURDY as can be! I looked up the price and to be honest it’s beyond worth the value I would honestly pay even more for this hatchet! It’s very safe in a sense of the at it handles and feels! It’s super comfortable to hold due to all of its pros! I couldn’t have found a better hatchet than this one! I am so grateful because 2 days before I earned this, I was so m the search for a new hatched and then Influenster once again read my mind and blessed me with THE PERFECT HATCHET! Light swings and BAM, it sinks all the way in hard stumps ESPECIALLY saplings along with many other uses for it! As I said before it’s beyond versatile and now o carry it on my lunch bag because I’m a logger and do wood work for 13 hours a day and it has come in handy daily without having the sharpen whatsoever! The balance on this hatchet is hard to comprehend how amazing it is

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a lightweight hatchet that gets the job done. It feels great in the hand and is super sharp. It made quick work of a couple of limbs that were hanging down from our tree. It did come with a plastic sheath, but I purchased a different one for it as pictured. Can't wait to try this out on some hiking trails if we need to as it fits perfectly in our hiking packs.

It has a lock on the guard so that it is not easily opened, which keeps it safe from the kiddos. My husband is so happy and loves it so much. He uses it for small tree limbs, bushes, etc

When this popped up I immediately knew I needed to get it for my hubby. He has already put it to good use multiple times and he is very happy with its performance. It cuts very clean and nicely. It is comfortable to use and feels very durable. We have been needing a new axe for a while and it is so glad to have this one. I would absolutely purchase other Fiskar products in the future and I definitely recommend this ace!

It’s easy to use and I feel safe letting my teenager use . Well made and looking forward to using on many camping trips in the future.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a great ax to have with you while camping, it's already came in handy for myself to split some campfire logs. It has a great weight and balance to it and makes it easy to use. The head cover it's great since I have small children and this helps keep them safe if they get to it by accident. The cover also has a handle, which makes it easier to carry around.

I like the way it fits in my grip. Cuts awesome! My only complaint is that instead of using it I want to put it on the wall and just look at this awesome piece of tool.

It was made with durable metals. Easy to swing. And it hatches so easy! My husband is in love with it and can’t wait to bring to the woods with him this fall! Such a nice affordable hatchet! It goes through wood in 3 swings or less. It is very durable. My family is a huge fiskar fans! It’s a must have if you love the outdoors. The handle has a comfortable grip for chopping.

Best AXE for everyday use (for me). I have the X5 and the X7. And yes overall the X7 is the best, because has the bigger handle.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I got this Fiskars 17in hatchet for my Ole man, and he loves it said that its light weight feels good in his hand, that it chops great makes its way right through the wood weather making kenneling or chopping a little tree down. He likes that it came with heavy duty sheath made out a plastic an not cloth, has nice handle to carry it with. He said it really nice and great to have out camping or to carry in his truck when out in the woods for incase anything would happen very handy to have.. He happy with it..

The sturdy sheath is an added bonus and is ideal for storing and hanging on the pegboard. For a small (14”) hatchet it delivers a surprisingly deep cut. The coating enables the tool to be easily cleaned. Good product – recommend.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I got this Fiskars Hatchet to keep in my RV. It will be perfect for firewood for a campfire. It is 14 inches. Chops 3x deeper, virtually unbreakable with a lifetime warranty. It has a cover to protect the blade.

Great little hatchet perfect for stripping small branches from smaller trees that I've been taking down, but why does it seem necessary for Home Depot to save pennies and not include the intended sheath that belongs with this little gem and include a worthless merchandising hanger instead?
